The beginning of the cherry blossom crush

Beautiful daydream for those who have been waiting for a miracle.

The lingering taste of coffee penetrates the nose, romantic music continues to play in the book café, and the pink aura embraces the warmth of two bodies that sit in front of each other, making an effort to talk without stuttering. It is more like a drama in one song that the lyrics are about 'Our first meet'.

"Ahem, hi." I said first, looking at him while waving my hands. Well what other people say, comes true 'Ladies first'.

"Hi, the first and most important. I am sorry for sitting here without first notifying you. You see, there are no empty seats except here. But, beforehand I knocked on the table, thinking you'd notice, but you didn't". He said while feeling sorry.

"Hahaha, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. It's not that I wasn't aware. It's like I'm kind of reading a ghost story, and I realize I'm in too deep of this thrill and so I believed it was just my imagination. I apologize once more." I chuckled while feeling guilty.

So, why didn't I feel shy when I started talking to him? I said while wandering in second in my mind to search for an answer.

Now, we are silent again. Not that that bothers me. However, my personality is capable of changing from introvert to extrovert. That makes me want to continue talking.

"Well, we're silent once more. I forgot to introduce myself. Hey there, my name is Adam. I acknowledge we're simply sharing a table, but why not introduce ourselves first? Everything starts with the first step." He said that with a smile.

"That's exactly right. Hey, my name is Elly. It's a pleasure to meet you, Adam." I said with a smile while fidgeting my fingers.

And we just gazed at each other while smiling. That's honestly quite creepy. But I enjoy the way he smiles. He has a deep dimple in his right face, which makes him look even cuter. I just commented that Adam is a cute guy. Oh my goodness! What's the matter with me? My cheeks are starting to feel heated.

"What's the cause of your red cheek?" Am I causing trouble for you? Or am I too handsome to handle?" Adam asks while smiling.

"Ha, no, no, ahem, I just felt hot all of a sudden. Perhaps the air conditioner was broken." I expressed my shyness by waving my hand in front of my face. Was he just flirting? Or telling me the truth regarding just how attractive he is to be so handsome in my eyes. I said in my mind.

"Hahah, alright. I'm sorry. Can I finish what I need to do now and we can talk later?" Adam expresses himself while sounding guilty.

"Sure, sure, you can do it. I'm planning to read this book again." I replied as I reopened my books and began reading.

We sat in silence while enjoying each other's presence.

While taking a glimpse of him, I slurped my ice chocolate. I'm more relaxed in his company. What is wrong with me? I looked away from his figure and resumed reading my book.

20 minutes later...

"I'm done now." Why don't we continue our conversation?" Adam stated as he packed his work and placed it in his bag.

"Ahem, sure. Are you a university student?" I said while playing with my straw.

"Yes, I am a student at Blueberry University. The junior year. My group mates suddenly abandoned me after I had waited around 1 hour and 30 minutes to carry out our group assignments. And I figured out why not to complete the research first with a cup of coffee. But there were no empty seats when I arrived. And here we are, having conversations with one another." Adam said with a smile on his face.

"I see. I dislike it when we plan something and they ruin it. It's not healthy to have group mates with them. What a nuisance. I mean...I'm sorry to say that." I said while complaining about that.

"No, it's alright. I get what you mean. I dislike it as well. However, university style. We have to play along with it. What about you, Elly?" Adam asked, while slurping his coffee.

"Ah, I'm just a high school student. Last year. I'm bored at home. Why not spend a couple of hours reading here." I respond with a shrug of my shoulders.

"I see. Did you come with a friend?" While looking around, Adam asked.

Oh my god, another sensitive topic to avoid.

"Hmm, no, I'm coming by myself. There is no friend. Just enjoy spending time alone without them. They are too busy with their lives." I replied.

Adam senses a change in her aura and decides to switch the subject of the conversation.

The sky glows orange as a way of signaling to all living creatures that it is now the end of the afternoon. We talked till the sound of my phone ringing interrupted us off.

"Hello, yes, mother. I'm sorry. Yeah, yeah. I'll be returning home now. I understand that tomorrow is a school day. I'm leaving right now. Okay, goodbye, mother." I answered my phone while eyeing my watch.

"I'm sorry, that's my mother. I need to leave and go home right now." I said while putting my belongings into my tote bag.

"No, it's alright. I had to get going as well. We talked as if there were no tomorrow. Time certainly flies. Maybe they're jealous of us, which is why they seem to make the time fly fast." Adam stated while chuckling and I follow his chuckle as well.

We started walking side by side and went outside the book café. Before we parted ways, Adam abruptly appeared in front of me to stopping me and asked,

"Wait a second! Can I get your phone number?"

I was taken aback and had to take two seconds to process the question.

"Yes, sure, I think. Here." I handed him my phone, and my mind began to bomb with the difficult-to-answer question.

"Thank you for today and this number. It's nice to meet you. Maybe our paths will cross into each other again in the future. For the time being, goodbye. Let fate meet us soon." Adam speaks while happily smiling.

"Hmm, sure. Let fate stumble across us...soon. Thank you for today as well. Bye." I said while smiling and gave him a friendly wave.

The soothing breeze caresses our faces, promising us that we will see one another again soon. I walked to the bicycle park, unlocked my bike, and started riding home. This sensation will stay locked in my heart for a new title -

"Till fate meets us soon".

Poetic feels:

Story untold,

With the constellation of stars,

Is beginning of our journey,

Becoming the compass,

Travel between,

Light and darkness.
