2. Alone with him
AUTHOR'S POV
"Where are you guys taking us, by the way?", Haniya asked Sara on the phone.
Sara entered the room where her husband and his cousins were sitting. She smiled at everyone as she took a seat beside her husband.
"Umm, I can't tell because that's a surprise Armaan has prepared for us all, " she said.
"OK, but how will I come along? It's a whole hour's drive from my house to yours." Haniya replied.
"Relax, Hani! I'll send someone to pick you up and then we'll go together from my house"
Sahil sat near the window, his ears perked attentively as soon as Sara called Haniya's name. He looked at Sara from the corners of his eyes, giving all his attention to their conversation.
"OK, but send someone I know. I can't travel with some stranger", Haniya said annoyed by Sara's decision.
"Yeah yeah, I know. Be ready at 5, see ya, love you", Sara bid her goodbye as she cut the call. She sighed looking at her husband.
"What happened?", He asked.
"Well, Haniya can't come here on her own because her car broke down. So, someone has to go and pick her up", She replied with a sad sigh.
Her husband looked at her searching for some kind of problem in whatever she said.
"Now the problem is, who will go and pick her up?", She asked.
This time Sahil turned around to look at Armaan. Armaan passed him a look smirking as he knew something was fishy with Sahil.
"Don't worry babe! Sahil will go and pick her up", He smirked remembering when he saw Sahil gawking at Haniya.
Armaan knew that Sahil was interested in Haniya.
Sara looked at Sahil with hope as she knew that it was hard to convince him but poor Sara didn't know that he was waiting for this opportunity so that he could spend some time alone with her without anyone looking.
"At what time?", He asked without hitting around the bush.
"At 5 then we'll go together from her-", Before she completes her sentence, Armaan interrupted.
"Why bring her here? I mean Sahil is also going with the right, so when he picks her up, he'll bring her to the place we are going.", Armaan said as his smile widened.
Sahil bit his inner cheek to hide his smile. He mentally thanked Armaan. Now he would be alone with her for 2 hours.
"Hani!! Beta aapki gaadi aa gayi hai. Aa jaiyye der ho rahi hai!", Haniya heard her mother shouting. She quickly looked at herself in the mirror one last time as she wore her anklets before going out of her room. Some might think that she's old-fashioned because she wears anklets most of the time but she loves her anklets.
(Hani!! Beta your car has arrived. Come on, it's getting late!)
She went to the hall to see the workers doing their work while her mother sipped her tea.
"Ma! Hum jaa rahe hai, der ho jaye aane me to pareshaan mat hoiyyega aur Baba ko bata dijiyega ki hum Sara ke saath gaye hai", She said hugging her mother. Her mother nodded kissing her cheek.
(Mother! I am going, don't worry about coming late, and tell Baba that I have gone with Sara)
She thanked the guards as they opened the gates for her. As soon as she stepped out of the mansion she saw a black car with a man standing with his back facing her.
Sahil was checking his emails, he kept his phone in his pocket when he heard the voice of her anklets. His mouth curved upwards into a smile as he turned around to see her coming towards him.
Sahil's smile vanished when he saw her attire. He was stunned by her beauty and those anklets work like a cherry on top.
He gulped as his lips went dry with each step she took towards him. He never felt like this toward any girl before.
Sahil frowned when he saw her eyes widen before she turned around going back towards the mansion.
Haniya mentally cursed Sara when she saw him standing there with his car. She quickly hid behind a pillar near the gates.
"Sara! Why is that man here?", She whispered as soon as Sara picked up her call.
"Who? Sahil?", Sara asked.
"ughh!! Whatever is his name, I don't care! Tell me why is he here?", Haniya asked annoyed by her best friend.
"Listen, he's here to pick you up. So now go with him and reach here fast.", Before Haniya could protest, she hung up.
Haniya took deep breaths remembering their earlier encounter, and how he made her nervous. She gets a weird feeling whenever he is around. He makes her feel nervous and shy and her heart starts beating fast.
Sahil stood there waiting for her again. He stood straight making a move to find her but before he could, she came out of a corner moving towards him.
He looked at her face from close as she stood in front of him not knowing what to do. He noticed her long lashes as she down feeling shy, her small nose with a tiny gold ring on its right nostril, her lip full lips-
She cleared her throat feeling awkward as he kept on staring at her.
He came back to his senses rubbing his hand against his face.
"Hi", He said. She looked up at him with her long lashes.
"Hi", She replied. They both stood there, he stared at her while she looked at everything around her but him.
Should I kiss her hand?- He thought
Nah! That would creep her out-
But she looks heavenly beautiful-
WAIT! Is it Earth or am I dead already!?-
I think I am in heaven for real-
She's so small!-
Her curves would fit perfectly in my hands-
He took a deep breath when she again cleared her throat.
"Let's go before we get late", He said as she nodded.
He stood there not giving her proper space. He smirked looking at when she looked down not wanting to let him see her flushed face. She moved towards the passenger seat, her breath hitched when his arm accidentally touched her bare back.
He gulped looking at bare back as his lips went dry. He rolled his lower lip in his mouth when he felt a sudden urge to kiss her back. He fisted his hand as his fingers ached to touch her.
She thanked him as he quickly opened the passenger seat door before he lost control.
They both sat in his car as the tension between them kept on increasing.
God! Get me out of here fast, how long will it take?!- She thought as she tried to enjoy the view but his presence wasn't helping as he kept on taking glances at her beauty.
"Wait! I think it's a wrong turn." She suddenly said.
"I don't think so", He said calmly. Her throat went dry at his deep voice.
"But we're going to Sara's house, You should've turned right not left", She said making him chuckle.
"They already left to the place, we'll be meeting them directly there", He said making her eyes wide in disbelief as she looked at him while he stared back.
He bit his cheek trying to control his smile.
Great! Just great, now I am stuck with him for god knows how long- She thought cursing her best friend.
Stuck with me, baby? Let's see how long can you ignore me- He thought smirking.
