Chapter 1

"Wow, that was truly unexpected – an entire family lost in that crash," murmured a stranger as he sat on a white chair, his gaze fixed upon the tragic scene before him. Everything around him was drenched in white, from his shirt to his hair, even his eyes and the mug he held. He let out a weary sigh, "Well, it's back to work once more. I never seem to catch a break from this."

He then moved toward a colorful green pearl resting atop a white table, and with an incantation, six souls materialized before him.

He gently cradled all six souls in his arms and carried them to the opposite side of the room. With two taps of his feet, a brown door materialized, and he stepped inside. Placing the souls on top of a pedestal, he began to chant. As he did, he sensed the purity and wholesomeness of these six souls, bringing a smile to his face.

"Thank goodness these souls are untainted, not corrupted," he thought while continuing his chant. The six souls started to spin faster and faster around the pedestal, and eventually, they vanished. He smiled, satisfied that his work was well done, and brushed his hands off.

"These souls are now blessed, and I hope they find happiness in another world. My job is complete, and I think I'll take a little break before the next one arrives," he remarked before leaving the room.

Meanwhile the six souls drifted to another dimension, one of them, Mitch Ken, remained conscious and bewildered. "What on earth is happening?" he screamed inwardly, his soul filled with a mix of terror and excitement as he observed the journey. They traversed through various landscapes until they eventually arrived in a world that seemed to suit them.

In this new realm, Mitch's soul witnessed a fascinating sight. They found themselves immersed in an underwater world teeming with life, inhabited by mermaids, enormous fish, and battling pirates on their ships. The journey continued as they ventured to the next location, a towering mountain where dragons soared through the skies, colossal goats scaled the peaks, and majestic creatures like giant eagles and griffins roamed.

Their journey didn't stop there. They passed through a lush forest, an expansive desert, and even a floating mountain, encountering numerous other intriguing locations along the way.

They eventually arrived at a set of ancient ruins, and their souls seamlessly passed through the walls before descending underground. In this subterranean chamber, they found a collection of coffins neatly arranged. Mitch carefully observed his surroundings, feeling a sense of confusion about why their souls had been guided to this place.

The souls, on the other hand, had a purpose – they needed to locate suitable bodies within the depths of these ancient ruins. "I'll just wait and watch, who knows what my soul will do," Mitch mused as he kept a watchful eye on his surroundings, allowing his souls to fulfill their intended task.

Before long, the six souls reached their destination and began to merge, forming a circle and spinning around in a ritualistic fashion – because that's precisely what it was. Once the ritual was complete, the souls separated and moved in different directions.

The first soul belonged to Mitch, and it entered a coffin by phasing through the material. Inside, Mitch could see the lifeless body, causing him to react with a scream like that of a frightened baby from within the confines of his soul. His soul proceeded to possess the deceased body, binding itself to the lifeless corpse, and then began the intricate process of reconstructing the body, much like crafting an avatar in a video game. The corpse slowly but steadily underwent cellular reconstruction, gradually taking on the appearance that Mitch's soul had envisioned.

Similar to his family's souls, Max's soul also passed through the large door. After the body reconstruction process was complete, Mitch's eyes twitched, and he slowly opened his eyes. He glanced at his hands and then carefully pushed the coffin open.

Mitch's perspective

Oh crap, what the hell was that!? It went pitch black, and now I've somehow ended up in a different body! I've got to locate my family; I hope they're safe and sound. As I climb out of this coffin and observe my surroundings, this underground place is giving me the creeps. I sincerely hope that my sister screams or makes a sound so I can pinpoint her location. She's not a fan of ghosts btw.

I grab the torch on the wall, its warm glow guiding me as I set out on my mission: to find my family and survive at all costs. The objective may be straightforward. As I venture through a vast room filled with eerie coffins, I navigate through the labyrinth of cobwebs, my heart racing. What sends shivers down my spine is the colossal spider looming above, though mercifully, it seems to be in a slumber... or so I hope.

I tread cautiously, careful not to draw the attention of the grotesque creatures that I'd rather avoid – these oversized arachnids, massive rats, ever-elusive ghosts, and peculiar floating squids. My determination to reunite with my family keeps me moving forward, despite the nightmarish obstacles that stand in my way.

Just as I'm about to step into the next room, a sudden collision jolts me, leaving my head throbbing. I cautiously peer ahead, and to my astonishment, I find myself staring at my sister. "Sis!?" I exclaim, scrambling to help her to her feet. She, too, wears a bewildered expression upon seeing me.

"Mitch! Oh, thank goodness you're alive. I thought you were gone!" My sister's words are a bit redundant, but what matters is that she's safe. "I... I can't make sense of this. Is this some kind of dream? Why does this place feel so unnervingly real?" Jessica's panic is palpable, and I know I need to calm her down before we attract the attention of any lurking creatures.

"Hey, it's okay. We need to locate Harold, Max, Mom, and Dad, and then we get the hell out of here," I assure my sister, and she nods, rising to her feet.

Jessica adopts a determined and serious expression, saying, "You're right. They might be in trouble. Let's go find them." With that decision, we set off in search of the rest of our family.

As we navigate this eerie place, we do our best to steer clear of any hostile creatures that lurk about. We narrowly escape the clutches of a few ghosts, with my sister's frantic reactions making it all the more challenging. We manage to evade a figure donned in a black hood and bird mask, but the obstacles continue to mount, making our quest to reunite with our loved ones increasingly difficult.

Just as we're about to enter the next room, our younger brother, Harold, suddenly appears before us. His unexpected arrival startles both my sister and me, and we nearly jump out of our skins.

"Thank goodness I found you two..." Harold breathes a sigh of relief. "It took me an hour to locate you. So, where are Max, Mom, and Dad? You better not have left them." His eyes dart between us, clearly concerned. I proceed to explain the situation to him, and he nods in understanding.

"We're not leaving them behind," I reassure him. Harold's demeanor shifts from moody to a resolute seriousness, ready to join us in the mission to find the rest of our family.

As we're about to resume our search for Max, Mom, and Dad, a sudden appearance startles us. It's our father who appears behind us and exclaims, "Boo!" The three of us jump and end up on the ground, while Dad stifles his laughter. Mom arrives on the scene and promptly smacks Dad on the back of the head.

"Honey, you can't just sneak up on them and scare the kids like that!" she scolds him, clearly annoyed. Dad chuckles nervously as he helps us back on our feet, while Jessica, Harold, and I shoot him stern glares.

Dad rubs his neck, looking remorseful. "I'm sorry, I won't do that again," he promises. In an instant, we embrace our parents, relieved that they are still alive. Now, all that remains is to find our beloved dog, Max.

"Well, let's go locate our dear Max. I hope he's somewhere close by," Dad suggests.

We searched every room for Max, who sometimes wanders around like a curious child, making it challenging to locate him. We were cautious not to alert any potential threats. I'm really worried about Max, and I don't want him to be lost forever in this dismal place.

We searched everywhere, but our hope was dwindling as we couldn't find Max or even hear him bark. My heart couldn't bear this uncertainty. Suddenly, a loud bark echoed from beside the large door next to us. "What the heck was that!?" My dad was sweating and standing protectively in front of us. The loud barking continued, and we could hear scratching sounds.

I gazed at the large door and the bark sounded oddly familiar to me. Slowly, I walked toward the door, determined to find a way to open it.

"Mitch, what on earth are you doing!?" My dad's voice trembled with panic and desperation.

"Look, I know this might sound crazy, but I believe Max is inside this room," I replied without taking my eyes off the door, still searching for a way to open it. "Will you trust me?" I asked my dad, looking at him with a pleading expression.

My dad sighed but ultimately nodded in understanding, saying, "I trust you..."

I nodded and continued my search for a way to open the door. Suddenly, Harold appeared beside me and offered his help, saying, "I'll help you." He began reading the descriptions on the wall, and I nodded in agreement. Together, we worked on the task.

As we continued, I noticed a look of keen interest on Harold's face. "It's very confusing yet fascinating. Practicing hieroglyphs can be quite lucrative," he remarked.

"Wait, you've already learned that stuff?" I asked in surprise. No wonder he's a genius.

"Eh, it's not anything particularly special," Harold said, casually waving his arms. "Hmm, I might have found a clue, but you're not going to like it," he added with a serious look on his face.

I sighed, already anticipating what he was about to say. "Let me guess... 'Blood for the blood god'?" Harold nodded, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of annoyance. I really disliked anything related to rituals. "Alright, I'll do it. So, where's the knife?" I asked reluctantly.

Harold pointed to a spot near him beside the door, "The only way to open the door is by stabbing this sharp object into your hand." He said casually while I braced myself for the impending pain.

"I hope my mom can fix my hand. I'd rather endure her scolding than this," I thought. To get it over with, I closed my eyes and allowed the sharp object to pierce my hand. The pain was excruciating as my blood began to flow out. After a few seconds, the door finally opened, and I released my hand, though it still hurt badly.

We all stood in anticipation, waiting for Max to come out. Thumping sounds grew closer, and we could see the glow of green eyes within the large, dark room. As it emerged from the darkness, a giant wolf was revealed, causing us to stand ready to run. The wolf approached us, staring at us like hungry prey. Then, something incredible happened—the wolf howled and lick at me, covering me in saliva. I gazed at the wolf, which had already lowered its body and was breathing rapidly, seemingly thrilled to see us.

I cautiously approached the giant wolf, calling out, "Max?" Hearing his name, the enormous wolf grew even happier and barked in response. I couldn't believe that Max had grown into such a big boy!

"Guys, look, this giant wolf is Max!" I exclaimed with excitement, while I lovingly rubbed Max's cheeks. My family let out sighs of relief and joined me, all of us petting Max as we enjoyed a happy reunion.

My dad was incredibly thrilled, saying, "I can't believe it, you've grown so fast!" He patted the giant dog affectionately. With our heartwarming reunion done, the challenge remained: how to escape this vast underground area, which seemed almost impossible to navigate. Then, Max tapped his paw to get our attention, and we all turned to look at him.

"Max, what is it?" Mom inquired, astonished that Max seemed to comprehend our speech. The massive dog nonchalantly extended a single paw and effortlessly sliced through the fabric of dimensions, leaving us all in shock and amazement. We decided to save our questions for later, as our primary focus was to escape from this place. We hopped on Max's back and followed him through the tear in the fabric.

3rd perspective

Certainly, here's a more humanized version with improved grammar:

As the family emerged from the mysterious fabric portal, thanks to Max's unique power, they took in a deep breath of fresh air. They hopped off Max's back and found themselves in the middle of a vast grassy field. Wildlife roamed freely, and the sky was a beautiful sight. The air felt rejuvenating as they breathed it in.

"Wow..." Jessica exclaimed, her eyes filled with wonder at the serene landscape.

"Yeah..." Mitch added, equally astonished, finding himself at a loss for words. Max, on the other hand, couldn't contain his excitement. He bounded around the grassy field, playfully chasing after wildlife without causing any harm. Eventually, Max came to a halt in front of the family and rolled in the grass, displaying his sheer joy. This adorable sight made the family burst into laughter, appreciating Max's exuberant behavior.

"Alright, folks, what's our plan?" Joseph pondered, glancing around at their unfamiliar surroundings. "I remember the crash that took us, thanks to that truck. As for me, I suggest we head to the nearby town and ask the locals about this place."

Mitch suddenly noticed something about their appearances and remarked, "You know, I just realized we all look quite different, except for our faces." The rest of the family looked at each other and noticed the changes in their appearances as well.

Joseph now had brown hair, a distinctive cross-shaped scar on his left cheek, intense blue eyes, and a muscular physique that made him look like a bodybuilder, giving off an intimidating vibe. Maya's appearance featured black hair, captivating green eyes, a scar running downward below the edge of her lips, and a sleek yet muscular body. Jessica closely resembled her father's new appearance, while Mitch and Harold took after their mother's appearance, though they didn't have any scars.

Maya couldn't help but chuckle at Joseph's new appearance. "You look even better than before. I quite like it," she playfully flirted, earning a smirk from Joseph.

Joseph, equally flirtatious, responded, "Well, look who's talking. You've become even younger and more beautiful than ever." He gave Maya a sly smile, and she touched his muscular physique in a flirtatious manner. Their children, however, couldn't help but cringe at their parents openly flirting with each other.

"It's kind of awkward that they're flirting right in front of us," Mitch commented, with Jessica and Harold nodding in agreement.

Meanwhile...

"Zikil, are you certain this family is alright?" A woman in a purple gown dress expressed her concern. The white-haired man who had transported their souls into new bodies, his name being Zikil.

Zikil smiled at her reassuringly, "Don't worry, Ghalia. I've already bestowed my blessings upon them," he reassured the woman in the purple gown named Ghalia.

"I understand that, but what concerns me is how they'll fare against powerful adversaries, perhaps even a demon king," Ghalia voiced her worry. Zikil contemplated her concern while continuing to observe the family.

"They will soon learn to harness their newfound powers, rest assured, I've made it easy for them to use," he reassured Ghalia, trying to put her mind at ease. She sighed and nodded in understanding.

"Very well, if you ever need anything or have important news, you know where to find me," she stated before disappearing into thin air. Zikil kept a close watch on the family, curious to see what would unfold in their journey.

Meanwhile, in every kingdom...

Each kingdom had its own powerful sorcerer, and one of them sensed an incredibly potent magic. "This magic is impossible to ignore... It's exceptionally strong! No, there are six of them. I must report this to my lord," the sorcerer declared, marking the beginning of the family's arrival and the unfolding of their new journey.
