Shadow Walker

After making preparations and utilizing earphone communicators, Wesley channeled mana into the teleporter which made it shine brightly. "I'll be out in a bit." Wesley turned his gaze to the three members guarding the teleportation room which nodded in response. "Have a safe trip." Keith had already moved to the security room of the building which contains the cameras in the fake and real base. He had thoughts about how convenient and stupid the idea was for them to place the security room in the fake base even if it's thoroughly hidden. Wesley departed from the fake hidden base and instantly got transported to the real one. There were guards keeping an eye on the teleportation pads which made Wesley summon multiple shadows immediately and subdue them before they could even make a move. He then concealed himself on the blind spots of the camera and entered a ventilation system. "This place is kind of modern... As expected of [People from Earth]?" Wesley whispered to himself as he slowly moved through the vents and scouted the next room. When he arrived to the next room, he found that many guards were lying in wait on the entrance if Wesley tried to go through that. So Wesley made the shadows in the teleportation room to kill the guards inside it and advance to the farthest part of the vent. A fan was blocking the way so he has to exit the vents in the room. "Keith, how many people are in the room after the teleportation?" He activated his communicator and had Keith who was in the fake base monitor the number of enemies. "Around five, there's a lot more in the other rooms branching from here. It's better to just sneak through them using your shadow swapping." Wesley summoned a shadow which was able to pass through the vent lid without much struggle. It then slowly navigated the area as if avoiding the cameras. "I got a visual on your shadow, it seemed like it wasn't noticed." Keith's voice came through the communicator that was stuck on Wesley's ear. Wesley then gave a comment to Keith as if making sure things go smoothly. "Don't be that optimistic, it's hard to see cameras here unlike in [Among Us]." Wesley's shadow moved along the areas and entered the next room after waiting for the next batch of guards which Keith informed him with. After it sneaked onto the next room, the shadow moved to a camera blind spot after Keith informed Wesley of getting a visual of it. "Is it clear?" Wesley asked Keith if a swap is possible which Keith immediately checked. "Yeah, you're in the clear." Wesley then swapped immediately and peeked out on the area. He investigated the room while avoiding the guards that are patrolling around. He used the blind spots of the camera and snuck to some hiding spot near the door to the room that's on the west. "Wesley, that's the control room. If you subdue the guys in there then you won't have to worry about the cameras. It's heavily guarded though." Wesley entered a nearby vent as he couldn't do anything else but hide for the time being. He sent another shadow through the fan which was between him and the vent entrance to the next room. He then swapped positions with it and sent it through the fan once more to get up the vent entrance. The shadow moved to a blind spot which avoided the view of the other people in the room. Wesley performed a quick swap and planted a piece of equipment that was made by Draxus.

Around the time of preparation for the mission, Draxus handed over an item that resembles a certain [Spike] from an FPS game. "Listen up Wesley, this thing here is a [Siphoner]. This is similar to the bomb you see in the game [Valorant] but the function is entirely different. Instead of exploding violently, this is to completely siphon all forms of magic and mana from a wide area. So once you plant this in some hidden spot, you should leave the area because your mana will be siphoned after a solid one minute. It's hard to notice it for the first few seconds but once it hits the fifty second mark, it will be really bright and loud. Don't worry about the people trying to diffuse it, I've made it barely possible to diffuse with some instructions to throw them off at the side of this [Siphoner]. Anyways, once it siphons all the mana, feel free to use the mana that the device has siphoned. You'll be fighting with a huge amount of mana with you so you don't have to worry." Wesley smiled as he took the [Siphoner] into the interdimensional storage.

In present time, Wesley swapped back to with the shadow on the camera room with Keith. He then observed the things as the [Siphoner] grows in more power. "So you planted the [Siphoner]? It's good that you had the idea of placing that in the control room. Is this so that they won't be able to keep an eye on us once you siphoned the mana there?" Keith asked for Wesley's explanation while he was searching for Begona and Elliot's whereabouts. "Yeah, once siphoning is complete, I'll rush to the targets. Have you located them?" Keith pointed to three different screens which showed the entrance to the rooms of Elliot and Begona. "Each of them entered their own rooms. I don't know where it is but it might be in the living quarters of leaders." After a few seconds, they saw the people in the control room panicking and had their mana absorbed completely. Wesley then left the room as the shadows that he left there were absorbed just like the mana of all members in the secret base. "Guys, I'll reenter the area now, tell Keith to join up so you guys can enter later. We have to hunt the leaders stat." Wesley went ahead and poured a lot of mana into the teleporter. After getting teleported, he rushed through the rooms and sent multiple shadows to strike the members that are able to stand and retain their consciousness. He first went to the control room where he had siphoned the mana of many people. Cracks could be found in the [Siphoner] which could signify that it was damaged by the victims or it couldn't handle way too much mana. Wesley began absorbing part of the mana that's stolen by the [Siphoner] to be able to use more shadows and locate everything. He then poured magic into his own vest to activate the special skill imbued to it by Draxus. "[Eternal Detector, Omnipotent Eye of Overseers]" Wesley became capable of viewing through the walls of the building like having an x-ray vision. He then searched for the whereabouts of Begona as her abilities could pose a threat according to Draxus. "Northwest..." After locating her, Wesley went off and dashed through various halls and rooms as he brought a few shadows with him. Most of the shadows were sent in various directions as all shadows are made to reap the consciousness of the people who managed to retain them after the detonation of the [Siphoner]. After arriving to Begona's room, he brought out the pistol given to him and shot a few paralysis bullets. Even after getting hit with the bullets, Begona's eyes simply widened from the shock of Wesley arriving. "You're... The [Sentinel of Shadows]..." Wesley flinched and set himself on guard as the paralysis bullets didn't affect Begona at all. She stood up and hailed small bullets made up of different elements to Wesley which made him dodge everything in hairsbreadth. In Wesley's mind, he was completely surprised to the amount of mana that's remaining inside her. "Was she unaffected?" While thinking that, Wesley sent a shadow behind her and swapped with it to try and slice her down. But just before the blade struck her, it was warded off by an invisible force. "T-Telekinesis!" With quick wits, Wesley immediately recognized the kind of ability Begona had and launched a strike to her side with a kick. The kick managed to land and inflict pain into her and got Begona to kneel down from pain. "Ghh, if my magic didn't get absorbed... This would've been a lot easier..." Begona repositioned herself while Wesley tried to close the distance. Elliot was the person who managed to stop his advance this time. In a large room, Wesley faced a two versus one against powerful opponents. After he distanced himself from the two, the couches from behind struck him on the back which knocked him forward. Due to the surprise, he lost his balance and fell down to the ground. He rotated himself and blocked the black sword by clapping into it. He tried pushing it up but after some resistance, Elliot let go of it as the two sofas moved to crush Wesley. Wesley swapped with the nearby shadow and made the two shadows in the room move around to try and attack Elliot and Begona. The attacks were dodged while Elliot was preparing a skill. "[Dulled Processing]" In that instant, Wesley's thought process became interrupted completely and caused him to lose the concentration. The shadows stopped moving and various objects in the room moved to crush Wesley. He tried to resist the deadly force for a few seconds and swap but it wasn't possible with the constant interruption static that was made in his mind by Elliot. He tried to push away all the objects that was constantly trying to crush his body. Before long, Elliot received a powerful punch to the face. "Ora!" Keith with his spirit of earth and spirit of time entered the room and interrupted Elliot who was placing interruption magic on Wesley. Now that the hindrance disappeared, Wesley swapped out with a shadow nearby and landed a cut on Begona's torso out of surprise. Begona moved away and forcefully pushed Wesley and Keith away before they could unleash a flurry of endless attacks. "Ghh, no choice! [Spirit Arrow]!" Keith activated the spirit of time and unleashed a very powerful ability with its temporary upgrade. "[Chronoskip]!" Without taking notice, Keith enters an erased timeline and moves towards Begona's position and prepared to attack. As the time moved forward ten seconds without anyone noticing, Begona stepped back and lost her balance from Keith's sudden movement. She then received the endless flurry of strikes from Keith which was interrupted midway by Elliot. Wesley moved behind Elliot by swapping with the clone and brought out an extra dagger to stab him from behind. "This is the end!" Wesley didn't give a chance and stabbed Elliot directly to the brain with another extra dagger. Keith took out his kusarigama and tried to attack Begona from a medium range, but it was warded off by her instinctual telekinesis. "Keith! Non-living objects will be deflected! Kill her with concussion from your stand's fist!" Keith who got the message used [Chronoskip] once more and close the position as he completely smashed Begona's face. Chris then entered the room and shouted. "What have you done!!!" Wesley and Keith then regrouped as they saw one person having almost no control of his power.
