Lucien opened his eyes, blinking against the morning light. He looked around and realized he was in his room. He sighed, covering his eyes as he tried to recall what had happened.
He had been stabbed by that damned priest!
"Ughhh..." he groaned, annoyed.
"Lucien!? Are you awake?" Lithira asked, lifting her head from the edge of the bed where she had been sleeping. She immediately hugged him, tears streaming down her face.
"I thought you'd never wake up!" she cried.
Lucien patted her head and hugged her back. "I'm alright. I can't feel any pain," he reassured her.
"Of course, that's because that useless priest and Dr. Amanda helped you," Brigantia's voice came from the doorway.
Her eyes were filled with anger. "You... weakling! Why did you do something so stupid?!" she snapped, turning her gaze away from him.
