"What are you doing gossiping here?" Seren asked as she walked in, tired from the harvest and wanting to drink water.
"We're just bonding as a family," Lucien replied.
"What's wrong with talking to my daughters-in-law? We're not gossiping," Amane added.
Seren joined them, sitting beside her mother and taking a sip from the jug on the table.
Lithira looked startled, her face reddening at being called "daughter-in-law." Brigantiea, on the other hand, continued munching on an apple.
"You should stop eating so many apples, Brigantiea. At this rate, you'll overdose," he said, concerned.
"Why are you saying that, Lucien? She's pregnant. It might just be cravings," Amane frowned, thinking her son was really ignorant.
He should pamper his pregnant wife more as she wanted to give him a lecture, Lithira's response startled her.
Her eyes widened, and she jolted from her seat. "You're pregnant?" she exclaimed.
