Hallucination or Reality?

As the three of them entered the dining room, they found Lucien's family already gathered there. Before them lay a spread of scrambled eggs, bacon, bread, and pancakes.

Lucien furrowed his brows as he took in the sight before him. Meat and eggs were luxuries in Nereideia, especially in their impoverished village.

However, what caught his attention more than the food itself was the fact that his mother had prepared it.

He watched as Amane skillfully added another sunny-side-up egg, the eggs looking flawless as they were transferred from the frying pan to the plate.

"What are you all standing there for? Come join us! That includes you, Brigantiea, and Lithira," Amane called out cheerfully, clearly happy to be cooking again.

Brigantiea and Lithira obediently took their seats across from Cassius and Seren, whose faces appeared pale, particularly when Lucien glanced at his father, who quickly averted his gaze.
