Babel and skill

After 2 hours passed I got up from the bed and did some calisthenics to warm up my legs. After finishing I went out to find Naaza who I found laying on the counter of the shop which was called the blue pharmacy.

She opened one eye and looked towards me, "Oh, looks like you're ready". She got up and walked to the door. "Come on, let's go", Naaza said.

I hurried up after her as she opened the door and started walking. For a good while we just walked around and she got me familiarized with the area. She also showed me some landmarks like the twilight manor which was home of the Loki familia.

As we were walking I looked up and saw a massive tower. It was like a skyscraper back from my old world. Naaza saw me gazing at the tower and giggled, "That's the babel tower. It's home to many businesses like blacksmiths, high end restaurants and such. The goddess Freya lives on the top floor of the tower". After Naaza explained what I was gawking at she moved away from the tower and beckoned me to follow her.

As we walked along the road I saw all kinds of people and races walking. I saw elves, beast people, werewolves, dwarves, cow people, pallums and chienthropes but strangely no Renard like me.

"Hey Naaza", I asked as I looked towards her. She looked back at me and said, "hmm?". "Are Renard's rare in Orario? I haven't seen a single one yet", I questioned. "Renard's are pretty rare in Orario as they originate in the far east. Not many come here either because they're held in high regard and treated well in the east anyway. If you do see a Renard they were probably kidnapped or sold here when they were young", Naaza explained as she stopped Infront of a giant building.

"That's pretty grim", I stated as I stopped as well. "That it is..." She stopped as she looked at the door of the building we stopped Infront of. There was a steady stream of adventurers going in here. "This here is the hostess of fertility, it has good food at reasonable prices. This is where me and Miach come to eat when we don't have time to cook", she explained as she turned back and went towards babel again.

I followed her and we reached near babel. She took a slight turn and went into a big building right beside the tower. Adventurers were all streaming into the building. "This here is the guild, the guarding gate to the dungeon. We're going to get your paperwork in place so you would be an official member of the Miach familia", she explained as she opened the doors and walked in. "Finally, can we go back to the pharmacy after this? My legs are killing me", I joked to hide my tiredness. We had been walking around for 2-3 hours and we had already almost explored the entire city.

"I can relate to that, I'll get your paperwork set up and when you got your falna tomorrow you can come here to register as an adventurer". "Appreciate it Naaza", I said and smiled towards her.

"Yeah yeah, just try your best to pay us back for saving your life", she said in a joking manner. "Us? What did you even do? I'm pretty sure Miach's the one who whipped up the potions and all that", I reciprocated in a light hearted tone. "Who do you think got you out of your clothes?", she said as she looked towards me.

I paused in place as my voice halted. "You're joking right?", I asked in a slightly dreadful tone. Naaza just smirked at me and walked away. All I could do is just stare at her back as my cheeks reddened and my fox ears drooped.

I heard some people laugh but it was probably unrelated. I hope.

I sat in place for a minute when suddenly the system window opened up.

I focused towards spin and a transparent wheel popped up which started spinning as I focused on the wheel.

Suddenly I experienced a flash of knowledge as some memories got imparted into my brain. 7 forms of mist breathing got imparted into my brain, though I felt that something was missing.

Naaza came back and said, "now you're officially a member of the Miach familia, welcome to the family". She said all of this and smiled as she started walking out of the guild building.

By the time we reached the blue pharmacy it was basically night. When we entered Miach was waiting for us.

"Welcome back my children, I hope your outing went well", he asked in his kind tone.

""Yes it did lord Miach"", me and Naaza both said at the same time getting a chuckle out of Miach.

After Miach finished his chuckling I suddenly smelled the scent something utterly delicious. Seeing how Naaza's ears perked up she must have smelt it as well.

Miach noticed and his smile got wider and he said, "I have made dinner for us all, let us eat". He beckoned to follow him. He led us to the dinner table and in 3 plates Infront of the 3 seats was some delectable looking stew.

I'm not embarrassed to admit I might have drooled at the sight of it. We all sat down and talked for well over 30 minutes as we enjoyed the stew.

It was some kind of creamy, meaty, sweet and sour delicacy. When I went to compliment it Naaza grumbled about lord Miach keeping it a secret recipe after which, Miach laughed. Not a kind laugh like but a mischievous one.

After we were done eating Miach and Naaza showed me to my room which was not the one I had woke up in, the one with three beds. This was a proper room.

After I said my thanks to both of them I went to sleep. Or atleast I tried to. The glowing system Interface was burning my eyes and not letting me get a wink of shut-eye.

The system seemed to take the knowledge gained in the day at face value and compile it at night to get the maximum amount of information it could.

After a pain staking 2 hours the system finally finished the compiling of the information and I could finally sleep.

I can't put into words how excited I was for tomorrow. I was going to get my falna and go dungeon diving for the first time.

With those thoughts in mind my eyes finally closed and the night took me.
