Aaradhana diary -2

Aaradhana ( in sleep ) - Water....Water...

Arjun keeps her diary aside and takes a glass of water.

He lifts her slowly and makes her drink water. He then makes her lye in bed properly and caresses her face

Arjun - I just read few pages , I got to know the person you loved more is me . Get well soon wifey I have so much to tell you and ask you after reading those pages alone. When I complete the diary I am sure I'll have infinite number of questions too ask you, so get well soon ok ?

Arjun kisses her eyes and tries to get up but Aaradhana holds his hand tightly and places her head on his lap

He smiles and kisses her cheek

Arjun switches the night lamp and starts reading her diary .His one hand holds the diary and other hand pats her shoulder.

she wrote incident that happened in chapter 1 :"I didnt expect we'll split like this".

When both mama and appa fighted and splitted us , I cursed both of them . Because of them Arjun was shifted to another school . After that incident I missed Arjun a lot. I prayed to God every day because of this distance Arjun should not forget about me . I thought he'll visit me for my birthday atleast. But it did not happen . I used to recall things happened between us till before everyday so that I'll not forget him. I dont know whether he prepared gifts for my birthday, but I prepared gift for each of his birthday.

2 Years passed just like that , then I attained my puberty at 12. I heared chinamma informing every relatives about me. The very evening I heared Poorva athai , Anitha,Anand mama voice in home, I thought Arjun also would be with them. But to my bad luck Arjun didnt come with them.When I asked Anitha she said Arjun went for basket ball match.I cursed him in my mind for not meeting me. I dont know if Poorva athai read my mind because she said "Urmila, Arjun will come tomorrow for Rani function".My heart beated fast on hearing her words

The very next day my puberty function was held. Ladies dressed me like a bride. When I asked Poorva athai about it she said " Girls parents make the girl wear a saree and have a function to tell public , she attained puberty and she is ready for marriage". My heart fluttered again on hearing those words. People started applying tumeric paste on my cheeks , hands and leg.

I saw Arjun standing there wearing a yellow shirt. I dont know why I blushed that time on seeing him.When Poorva athai asked did everyone apply turmeric on me so that she can take Aarthi for me,Arjun shouted "Amma, I didnt".Poorva said "Come fast , time is not there". My heart started beating fast on each step Arjun took towards me . He took a big amount of turmeric paste and applied on my cheek. I dont know what happened to me that time,because my heart was beating fast when he touched my cheek and unknowingly I jerked a little. He then held my hands tightly.My face became flushed because of his grip. He then told me in whisphering voice while applying the turmeric all over my face "Did you miss me fatty ? you know how beautiful you look now".

When he called me fatty , a tear of happiness came from my eyes.Poorva athai misunderstood and scolded Arjun "Arjun, dont bully my daughter".She then removed extra turmeric paste from my face

A person from crowd said "Urmila, will you give daughter to my son ", Poorva athai said "I reserved her for my son ". She then said "My Rani became a big lady . If she tell yes , I will arrange hers and Arjun marriage tomorrow . What is she telling?" . My heart got exploded. Arjun laughed " Why will I marry this fatty?". I became sad on these words and I realized water tank is going to burst from my eyes. To hide I said to Poorva athai I was feeling hungry . Arjun said "Ask her to marry food truck. She'll stay happy for ever ", and that's it water tank in my eyes got exploded. Poorva athai scolded him again.

After my puberty function overed I heared chinamma and Anand mama conversation . Anand mama was scolding chinamma ," Urmila,If you didnt stop your husband from believing lotteries then I dont know what will I do. I took him out from jail on my name ".Suddenly I felt someones head on my shoulder, when I was about to showed the person closed my mouth and turned me towards him . I was shocked to see Arjun , he said "Dont shout , its me only ". My heart began to beat fast again . I was standing like a statue seeing him, I felt world stopped. Arjun suddenly pulled me to a room , because of his pull I fell on his chest . My heart beated more faster on hearing his heart beat .After a while he pulled me away ,"your chinamma and my appa was coming so I pulled you away" . He then left me as Poorva athai called him . I dont know what happened after that Anand mama came to me and said ," Rani , We are leaving now . We will not be able to see you often because of your father. But my home in chennai is always opened for you. You can call me or Poorva whenever you want ". Tears automatically came out on knowing the fact that I'll not be able to see Arjun often ". Anand mama hugged me on seeing me crying . Poorva athai ,Anitha also consoled me, But all these time my thought and Aamy eyes were only on Arjun. I think he felt pity on me on seeing me crying.

After they left , I missed Arjun more than before . I cried all day and night . Chinamma became stricter to me than before. I missed Arjun each day. My heart was crying to see him .Seeing me sad my school friend Anjali asked me to tell what happened . I told her all these . She said "Your are in love with Arjun all these years " . I couldnt understand what she said. She said "Write all your moments with Arjun in a diary and read it after 2 years, You'll understand it then" .That's when I started writing diary. I and Anjali became more close. She is the one who protected me and worried about me after Arjun. Seeing my closeness with Anjali, Sanjay lied to chinamma that I told Anjali how badly my family treats me. That was the first time chinamma slapped me . Then she changed me to another school with a warning "If you tell anyone about what happened in family then I'll stop your education " . I started crying a lot only on reading the diary I consoled myself. This repeated every time when Sanjay lied about me to chinamma.

Whenever Poorva athai called me , I listened carefully so that if I could hear Arjun voice in background. Years passed I reached my 12 th I didnt have time to write my diary . Whenever I heared Arjun voice while Poorva athai calls me my heart would beat fast.On the night before my board exam Poorva athai , Anitha and Mama wished me . When Poorva athai said she would pass the phone to Arjun , my heart beated fast . Arjun told many words , My heart admired his voice but my brain didnt process his words.I felt only my heart and ear were working in my body. After a while he shouted "Aaradhana ", that is when my brain begin to work . I stammered "All the best " and ended the call. I know he would have thought me mad.

After my board exam when I took this diary again to read , my heart beated faster on seeing the word "Arjun". That is the time I understood what Anjali said. I scolded myself," how couldnt you realize that you were in love with Arjun all these years "

Arjun ( smiles ) - Aaru , you know what you will scold me now when I tell what I said you that day.Actually I was bullying you, I said "Fatty, Dont eat a lot or you'll sleep during exam hall and you'll only see a big sized egg in your marksheet like your body". Getting no response I shouted "Aaradhana". You stammered "All the best " and ended the call.

Arjun pulls Aaradhana cheek . Aaradhana holds his hand telling "Arju ,dont disturb my sleep or"

Arjun (smiles) - Or what ?

Aaradhana sleeps again.

Arjun keeps his index finger on her cheek . He sees dimple in her face and smiles. He then takes it out. He plays with her cheek like this for a while until Aaradhana makes "szzzz" and turns to another side.

He then turns Aaradhana face and does the same and each time Aaradhana gets irritated and turns opposite site.

He does that again

Aaradhana ( half asleep ) - Arjun can you stop making fun.

Arjun smiles and does that again

Aaradhana - You are good to me in dream.Why not in real ?

Arjun ( in mind ) - so she thinks this as dream.

He takes his phone and starts recording

Arjun does it again, Aaradhana makes irritated look.

He sees her cheek become red.

Arjun - It's paining right?

Aaradhana - Yaa. Why is it paining even in dream ? Apply some medicine

Arjun (smile) - Sure

He leans towards her and kiss her cheeks deeply until her cheek become dark pink.

Arjun (smiles)- So you even blush in sleep.

Aaradhana (half asleep) - Stop teasing me and let me rest

Arjun - what if I tell that I read half of your diary ?

Aaradhana (half asleep)- I am pakka sure that this is dream

Arjun ( smiles ) and kisses her eyes

Arjun - I love you a lot Aaru.

Aaradhana (half asleep)- Love you too Arjun.Now let me sleep and you too sleep.

Arjun - No I have to complete reading your other half of the diary

Aaradhana (half asleep )- Read it later.

Arjun stops the video and checks the time.It was 4.30 already.

Arjun- I must keep diary in safer place so that she'll not destroy it when she becomes Jayanti

He keeps it in his locker and changes the pass code

He then goes to sleep to bed

He takes Aaradhana head , extends his hand and places her head on his hand.

As soon as he does this Aaradhana turn to his side and hugs him

Arjun smiles and hugs her

He kisses her forehead deeply telling , " I love you so much Aaru "
