Aaradhana's promise from Arjun

Aaradhana was writing something in her diary, Arjun comes there and hugs her behind her back.

Resting his head in her shoulder

Arjun - Aaru, what are you writing?

Aaradhana - My feelings

Arjun - Is it? When did you start writing diary?

Aaradhana - I started writing diary from high school

Arjun - So this diary will have your feelings about that person too right?

Aaradhana - Yeah . If you want to know you can read it

Arjun (in anger)- So you didnt forget that person right?

Aaradhana sees Arjun getting angry

Aaradhana - Arjun, read this diary once you'll get to know about that person

Arjun beats his hand in table

Arjun - How dare you ask me to read this , huh?

Arjun takes the book and tries to tear

Aaradhana ( in mind ) - This is the only through which I can convey my feelings to Arjun, I shoud stop him from destroying it

Aaradhana(shouts) - Arjun dont tear

Arjun - What ? You dare to stop me

Aaradhana - Arjun , why are you behaving like this?

Arjun tries to tear , Aaradhana takes knife in the table and points at him. Arjun gets shocked

Arjun - Come on Aaradhana, kill me so that you can live with your lover

Aaradhana - I cant kill you Arjun, because I love you

Arjun - Hmmm? A person cannot love two person at same time.

Arjun tears the last page,before he could tear other pages Aaradhana pointed knife at herself

Arjun gets shocked

Aaradhana - It's true that I cant kill you, but I can kill myself right?

Arjun - eh Heyyy, Aaradhana what are you doing?

Arjun snatched the knife from her and threw it away

Arjun - Are you mad?

Aaradhana - You dont know Arjun, how do I feel when I cannot tell about the person I love to you.. I am dying every single moment

Arjun grabs her shoulders tightly with his hands

Arjun - What about me huh?....Anyways I dont want to discuss about this anymore..Its already late I have to go to work

Arjun leaves but Aaradhana stops him

Aaradhana - Arjun you got several promise from me . Can I ask you one single promise?

Arjun - What promise?

Aaradhana - Promise me that you'll not touch my diary in the intention of destroying it

Arjun ( in anger ) - I 'll never promise that.

Aaradhana - Promise me or else I'll destroy my life after you leave office

Arjun (shocked) - Dont be childish

Aaradhana - Sometimes it is necessary to behave childish. Promise me

Arjun - Ok Promise.

Arjun gets ready for office

Aaradhana goes to kitchen

Suddenly Aaradhana hears door bell

She opens the door and shocked to see Karmegam

Karmegam winks his eye at her

Karmegam - I am back baby, Did you miss me so much? You lost some weight it seems

Aaradhana - stay out of my business

Karmegam sees kamatchi and touches her feet

Kamatchi - How are you dear? I am seeing you after long time

Karmegam - Good paati.

Kamatchi - Hey girl, you are free right ? if not make yourself free

Aaradhana ( smiles) - Are we going somewhere?

Kamatchi - You are going. There is a cave temple for shiva 30 Km from our place. I prayed to lord if Arjun gets married his wife will do pooja for shiva there. You'll go right?

Aaradhana (stammers) - Cave temple....

Poorva - Rani , dont worry dear, you can take Arjun with you

Kamatchi - No she must go alone

Poorva - But..

Kamatchi - No But and all. Hey , girl you must keep fasting. Take bags of clay with you. You have to make 1008 shiva lingam with the clay and have to do poojia for the entire night. It is said that if married woman does this pooja succesfully she'll and her husband will be living happily with children for seven births. If you quit the pooja in middle it is considered to be abshagun ( bad sign)

Arjun - Paati, what is this ? Dont torture her like this.

Kamatchi - What ? Am I torturing her ? Poorva tell me

Poorva - Arjun , I know its very difficult . But a custom is a custom.

Arjun - Amma , you too..

Kamatchi - Hey girl, tell me will you able to do this pooja. If you cant tell now itself. Once you decided to do pooja , you cant back off

Aaradhana thinks

Arjun ( in mind ) - Aaru , tell no

Aaradhana - Yes paati , I'll do .

Kamatchi ( smiles ) - Arjun ,see she said she'll do by herself. Hey girl , make sure you fast for the day

Aaradhana - Ok Paati.

Arjun - Aaradhana , I have to talk to you something.

Aaradhana - Arjun , we'll talk later.

Arjun holds her hand telling ,"Cant you understand . Its important".

He drags her to their room and locks the door

Arjun - Are you mad ? How can you make 1008 shiva lingams within evening . How will you do pooja all night ? You are afraid of darkness and in addition to that you are fasting

Aaradhana - Arjun calm down. Believe in me , I can do it

Arjun - But...

Aaradhana - Its a promise on me , dont stop me. I can also win paati's heart if I can do this pooja successfully

Arjun - So you are planning to hang with me for the next 6 life births

Aaradhana (stammers) - You think whatever you want.

Arjun - Since you decided , I am also going to keep fasting with you . And be awake for the whole night

Aaradhana - Arjun , you dont have to do this.

Arjun - Why can't I , if you can fast for me , waking awake all the night for pooja , why can't I ?

Aaradhana - But..

Arjun - No But, I accepted your decision , you should aslo accept mine

Arjun goes down and informs everyone about the same

Poorva gets happy while Kamatchi and Karmegam gets disappointed

Kamatchi - You can keep fasting Arjun but 1008 shiva linga must be made by her. She must go to temple alone and do the pooja.No one should help her with that.

Arjun - Paati, this is not fair.

Kamatchi - I know this pooja is hard but not impossible. The wives who did the pooja successfully are living happily with their children

Arjun - Paati..

Kamatchi - This is final

Arjun ( in call) - bring 3 bags of clay

Arjun - Aaradhana , get ready fast. We dont have enough time

Kamatchi - Arjun, where are you going?

Arjun -She must do pooja alone in night only right? I can wait for outside the temple right?

Kamatchi ( disappointed ) - yaa

Arjun and Aaradhana starts leaving

Kamatchi - Hey girl, the shiva must not be small or large. It must be in medium size and make sure that 1008 lingams have same length , width

Aaradhana - Ok Paati

Kamatchi ( in mind ) - If that girl goes alone, Arjun and Rupali will spend time together, I dont know what magic did the girl do on my grandson that he is sticking to her like a shadow

Everyone leaves

Rupali comes angrily to Kamatchi room

Rupali - Paati, what is this ? you said you'll let me spend time with Arjun. But why did you let my Arjun to go with the witch.

Kamatchi - What will I do ? That witch did black magic on my grandson.

Rupali - If she's alive means only Arjun will not look at me right ? What if she's dead?

Kamatchi - What are you going to do?

Rupali - Wait and see .

Kamatchi - ok

In Shiva Cave

They both visit the temple

Arjun (in mind )- This cave is dark in morning itself, how will it be in evening. How will Aaradhana be alone here?

Aaradhana ( in mind ) - Why this cave is so dark in morning ? Aaru dont show your scared face to Arjun , or else he'll not let you do pooja here

Aaradhana sees Arjun

Aaradhana - Arju , what happened ? Are you scared?

Arjun - I am not scared , I am more worried about you. How will you stay here the whole night? Aren't you scared? What if...

Aaradhana holds Arjun's hand

Aaradhana - Arju, listen we are in shiva temple. Why will I get scared in God's place. Dont worry . Everything will be fine.

Aaradhana smiles

Arjun corrects her hair and kisses her forehead

Arjun - I dont know when did my wifey became this brave, that she gives advice to her husband

Arjun pinches her cheeks

Arjun - You'll be alright right?

Aaradhana - Yaa, come lets visit the temple and start the work

Arjun - come

Arjun and Aaradhana visits the shiva idol .

Arjun meets the priest

Arjun - Aiyaa ( Priest is called as Aiyya or swami in temple ) my wife will be doing pooja for 1008 lingams.

Priest - I got it dear, come with me

Priest takes them where the lingams has to be made.

Priest - Aaradhana dear, you have to make lingams here.

Arjun - But the place is so dark.

Priest - Yes son, But only 1008 lingam can be kept in this place. There is no place to keep lamp

Arjun scans the place

Arjun - Why not? See there is a slab . We can keep a lamp there , and it's light can cover the entire room, so it'll not be dark.

Aaradhana smiles at him

Arjun and Aaradhana comes out of temple

Aaradhana holds Arjun hands

Aaradhana - Arjun ,thank you

Arjun - Why?

Aaradhana -For bringing solution to my problem even if I didn't tell you

Arjun - Aaru , I know you more than yourself, you may hide your fear in front of me but I can read your thoughts

Aaradhana - It's not true Arjun. If you can read my thought well, then you would hav known about person I love..

Arjun - Stop it Aaradhana, You know I dont like this conversation.

Aaradhana remains silent

Arjun - You make shiva lingams , I'll wait here

Aaradhana - Arjun , you dont have to wait for me, you go to home and come early mornintomorrow

Arjun - You may not love me truly Aaradhana , but the person I love the most is you, I cant leave you alone

Aaradhana - But

Arjun - I asked my people to make tent here. You go and start doing lingams.

Aaradhana - Ok

Aaradhana makes shiva lingams in the pooja room, while Arjun is waiting for her in tent reading books.

Evening 6 pm

Priest - Dear, you are done making the shiv lingams . After doing pooja for each lingam , you have to write "Shivam " in the wall with Kumkum

Aaradhana - Ok Aiyaa.

Priest - Start doing Pooja dear .

Priest leaves , Aaradhana starts doing pooja.

Rupali's person ( Jaya ) who was listening to their conversation smirks silently.

While Aaradhana does pooja , Jaya throws sharp nails in Aaradhana's path way.

Aaradhana comes pooja for third lingam and writes "shivam" in the wall.

On her way to do Pooja for fourth lingam , a nail pierced her right leg.

Aaradhana sees nail pierced in leg, and takes it out with much difficulty

Aaradhana - How are the nails here? when I was making lingams the place was clean . What should I do ?should I clear these nails first or continue the pooja.

Jaya comes there and sees Aaradhana's injured leg and finger . Aaradhana sees her

Jaya - Madam, how did this happen. How are the nails here ? But madam , you should not stop pooja in the middle, once started.

Jaya smiles and leaves,

Aaradhana starts continuing the pooja without further thought. After doing pooja for seventh lingam another nail pierced her right leg. She takes it out with much difficulty and injures her index and middle finger.

Jaya sees this and informs Rupali

Rupali - Well done Jaya , I'll transfer 1 lakh to your a/c immediately.

Rupali - There are atleast 1500 nails Aaradhana , I know you'll complete the pooja at any cost. Your leg will be injured by atleast 1000 nails. Huge amount of blood will be lost from your body and since you are fasting already you'll not able complete pooja. Even if you complete pooja, you'll not be alive in tomorrow morning. Haha....

Rupali smiles evily.
