Chapter 55 Are You Sure?

"Yan Wen has changed and she can be interviewed at any time," Xia informed the cameraman.

"Okay, so now..."

The cameraman was cut off by a piercing scream from Jiang Lingyun's dressing room. "Ah! A bug!"

She ran out of the dressing room in disarray and spotting the cameraman, rushed over to him. "Your cleaners are lousy!"

She huffed furiously.

Hearing the commotion, Bai Zhexuan hurried over. Jiang Lingyun latched on to his arm and played the victim. "Zhexuan, I worked so hard today. When I went into my dressing room, there was a giant bug it was disgusting!"

Bai Zhexuan cleared his throat. "Did you make a mistake?"

"Definitely not! Maybe someone wanted to scare me and put the bug there." Jiang Lingyun glared at Yan Wen. "Is it because I chose the female lead, stealing your thunder, and made you go onscreen with ugly make-up? You must be jealous, so you put the bug there to scare me!"

Jiang Lingyun jumped at the chance to yell at Yan Wen.

Everyone around was stunned. Her imagination was in overdrive. Today's three shoots all showed how powerful Yan Wen was and how unprofessional Jiang Lingyun was. She strong-armed Yan Wen at every opportunity and was now being a completely unreasonable shrew. If Yan Wen was not from Grand Entertainment as well, they would have doubted the company's standards.

"They're from the same company, why are they so different?"

"Compared to Yan Wen, Jiang Lingyun's behavior is appalling."

"Zhexuan, I saw it with my own eyes The directors were laughing happily as they left. My acting was perfect and all in one take!"

Jiang Lingyun was so sure that Bai Zhexuan did not ask further, and arranged for Yan Wen and Jiang Lingyun to have the final interview in the lounge.

The cameramen left and they were the only ones in the lounge.

"Zhexuan, I'm tired, let's go back to the hotel and rest." Jiang Lingyun swooned dramatically.

Xia and Chen Yu both turned their gazes away, not wanting to see her pretentiousness in action.

"Yan Wen, where have you been staying these few days?" Bai Zhexuan suddenly remembered. Yan Wen had disappeared these few days and then shown up with private bodyguards. Had she gone back to the Yans?

"I've already done my job. The rest is none of your business."

Yan Wen's reply was calm. She had no interest in leaking information on her life. and did not want Bai Zhexuan to bother Jiang Sui-an. Even though he would be chased away by bodyguards before he could even get close to Jiang Sui-an.

"You!" Bai Zhexuan glowered at her. "No artist can fully leave the control of their company. If you want to make it big, you had better watch your attitude. Otherwise...

Bai Zhexuan left with Jiang Lingyun. Yan Wen watched them go, expressionless.

As Yan Wen got into the car, Bai Shanshan gave her a video call.

"Since filming has ended, go home. Don't give the company any problems," she ordered Yan Wen coldly.

"I'm paying for my own living expenses, it won't affect company profits. It's my choice whether I go back."

Bai Shanshan paused a while. "Yan Wen, once Backstage airs, the company is going to invest a lot of resources on Jiang Lingyun. When the time comes, there won't be anywhere for you in the entertainment industry. If I were you, I would get out early, before there's nothing left."

"Yan Wen, I don't think Bai Shanshan will give up." Xia was worried.

"I'm not the only person with a hand in today's situation. No matter what she does, I won't back down." Yan Wen was very sure that when the episode aired, the Bai siblings would be even angrier with her. Even so, she did not regret any of her actions.

"I'll keep a close eye on things. You concentrate on work" Xia patted her on the shoulder. She and Chen Yu wholeheartedly supported Yan Wen.

"Also, we have Dahua supporting us. It'll be okay!"
