Help is on the way!

Many months had gone by. Anissa had given birth to a healthy baby boy and the world was at relative peace. The viltrumites had become slightly more active in protecting the earth. But all good things must eventually come to an end.

" Clark are you sure about this?"

Anissa asked as she watched clark getting dressed.

" I'm positive. Oliver says Mark disappeared while they were searching for Thragg's forces. If I can help find him and bring home, then I will."

Clark declared.

" Be careful Clark, I need you. Johnathan needs you. You have to come back to us understand me?"

Anissa explained as she held her and Clark's baby boy in her arms.

" I know Anissa. I promise you I will return my love."

Clark said as he strapped on the last of his new Armored suit. Gone was the plain blue and red spandex. Now Clark wore an armored version of his old suit. It came with Shoulder pads, Gauntlets, energy tubes that enabled clark to absorb more sunlight and store it for later use. His iconic Red and yellow S was replaced by a red and black S.

" Please Clark, I don't want to lose you. Please come back to us."

Anissa cried as she begged the man to come back.

" I promise you I will be back Anissa. No matter what happens, I will always come back to you."

Clark said as he wrapped the two up in a gentle hug.

" I love you, Anissa Kent."

Clark cupped the woman's face in his hands and planted a tender kiss on her lips.

" I love you too Johnathan. Don't worry okay. Daddy promises to be back as soon as possible."

Clark said as he leaned down and kissed his crying son on his head. Johnathan seemed to calm down from the affection from his father.

" Anissa, stay with my parents until I get back. They'll be able to help you while I'm gone."

Clark said to the woman as he walked towards the door to their house.

" Okay. I love you clark."

Anissa stated again.

Clark smiled at the woman and walked out of the house.

Feeling the intense feeling of the sunlight pouring over him, clark basked in the glory.

" It still feels amazing every time I wear this suit."

Clark declared.

He took one last look back at his family and smiled.

" I love you."

Clark said before taking off into space.

" Come back to us clark. We love you! Isn't that right Johny?"

Anissa asked the boy in her arms.

" Fortress, do you have the coordinates Oliver sent us?"

Clark asked

[ Yes Kal-El. Generating route now.]

The fortress explained to clark as he flew through space.

" Ah, I see it. Thanks fortress."

Clark said as the path towards the planet mark disappeared appeared in front of him.

Clark followed the path as fast as he could rushing to hurry up and help his oldest friend.

' I have to find him. I can't let that that little girl grow up without her father. Damn it, Mark why can't you ever save your own damn self?'

Clark thought about many things as he flew through the vacuum of space. His suit absorbing ten times the amount of sunlight he would on his own. Increasing his already ridiculous speed by tens of times that the speed of light. Clark thought back to all the times he and Mark spent fighting all these years. All the people they lost, all the people they gained, and yet no matter what happened they always had each other's backs.

' I won't fail you, my friend.'

Clark said to himself. Declaring his intent on succeeding in his mission.

" This is the place. It seems Battle beast put up quite the fight before he died. It's been two months and yet there's still this much destruction from the battle left. Maybe they were planning on keeping this place the way it is as a memorial to Thokk."

Clark said as he looked around at the carnage. The dried-up pools of blood and wrecked ships still painting the planet's surface.

" Fortress, where on this planet did Mark disappear?"

Clark asked as he looked around for any sign of the man.

[ A cavern not too far from our current location. Setting route now.]

The fortress explained as it set up a route for clark to follow.

Clark stretched out his arms and took off towards the cave arriving in mere seconds. Clark looked down at the cave and examined it with his X-ray vision. What he saw shocked him.

" MARK!?"

Clark yelled as he saw the man being enveloped by an alien lifeform.

Clark flew straight to the bottom of the cave as fast as he could and landed right in front of the creature.

" What have you done to my brother!?"

Clark asked the creature as his eyes burned red with anger.

" You still have your powers? You are an anomaly in this universe. You should not exist and yet here you are. Perhaps this was what fate decided. Either way, the choice is up to Mark now. Should he choose to rewrite the history of the universe and save it or keep it as it is and doom it."

The glowing creature responded to Clark as it explained what was happening.

" Let him go."

Clark demanded

" No."

The creature replied

" Then BURN!"

Clark yelled as he blasted the creature with his heat vision.

" YEAAARRRRRG!"

The creature howled in pain as Clark's heat vision tore its limbs from mark.

Clark quickly rushed in and grabbed Marks arm and tried to pry him from the creature.

" Come on, you big fucking idiot."

Clark grunted as he pulled on Marks body.

" No! You will not take him."

The creature roared as it lashed at Clark.

" ARGH!"

Clark Roared in pain as the creature attacked him.

' Fuck! That HURT!'

Clark thought as he continued pulling.

" Come on man, think about Eve. Think about Terra. Your family, you promised to be there for them always, didn't you?"

Clark asked as he pulled on the man's body.

" Cl..a..rk!"

Mark groaned.

" Yes, Mark! It's me. Now, stop being a fucking idiot."

Clark said to the man.

" NO!!!!!"

The creature yelled in a panic as it continued its assault on clark, actually managing to cut the man multiple times.

" COME BACK!"

Clark yelled as he finally pulled Marks body from the creature's grasp.

" NO!!! Do you realize what you've done? All those lives lost could have been saved. Had you just let him reset history."

The creature declared.

" And risk losing what I've got now? No way in hell!"

Mark declared.

" You will have no one but yourselves to blame for the destruction that comes to your people. Remember I gave you a chance to correct it."

The creature said before disappearing.

The two men suddenly found themselves at the entrance of the cave again.

" Clark, it was crazy man. I was sent back in time. I thought I'd never get back."

Mark cried as he hugged the man.

" We need to get you home Mark and fast."

Clark said to the man as he broke the hug.

" Why? What's wrong?"

Mark asked in a panic.

" Mark, you were in there for two months."

Clark stated

Marks eye went wide in shock.

" WHAT!?"

Mark yelled in a Panic. He immediately turned and flew into space.

Clark flew up in the air with the man and stopped him from rushing off into unknown space.

" Do you know the way back to talescria, Mark?"

Clark asked as he stopped the man.

" I can figure it out. Now, move."

Mark demanded.

" Or you can follow me, and we get there without having to stop."

Clark said to the man making him feel stupid.

" Oh!"

Mark declared as he slapped himself in the face.

" HAHAHA! Still the same Mark. Let's go. We both have families to get home too."

Clark said to the man as he flew off planet.

Mark and Clark began their trip back to Talescria.

' Come on man. Can't you just grab me and gun it?'

Mark asked with his thought projector.

' I could, but I don't know what would happen to you if I moved that fast with you in my arms. For all I know you could explode from the pressure. Besides we'll be there in a day.'

Clark responded back.

' Yeah, but I want to hurry up and get back. I'm worried about Eve and Terra. I promised her I would always be there for her clark. And I already broke that promise.'

Mark said as tears started to well up in his eyes.

' Mark, you did what you thought was right to keep your family safe. Though I wish you would have called me before looking for thragg in the first place. You have another chance to correct that mistake Mark. Not too many people get that chance.'

Clark explained to the man.

' You're right Clark. You're right.'

Mark replied.

' Ugh! Way to guilt trip me. Grab on.'

Clark said to the man.

Marks face instantly lit up like a Christmas tree.

' ALL RIGHT!'

Mark yelled in his mind.

' Yeah! Yeah!'

Clark said before taking off towards the planet. And true to his thoughts earlier Mark began vomiting as he raced through space.

' We're almost there. You throw up on my suit and I'll break your legs.'

Clark yelled to the man.

' Just go!'

Mark replied before hurling again.

' We're here!'

Clark said to the man as he suddenly came to a stop.

'WHOA!'

Mark yelled as he was launched off of Clarks shoulder by the sudden stop.

Mark tumbled in the air aggressively as he flew towards Talescria. After a few moments and a bit of help from Clark, Mark finally straightened out and made a dash for his objective.

" EVE! TERRA!"

Mark yelled as he raced into his apartment.

Upon hearing his voice, the sound of a dish breaking sounded out from the kitchen. Eve slowly walked out of the kitchen and started crying upon seeing her husband return.

" MARK!"

Eve yelled as she ran into the man's arms.

" Aw that's touching."

Clark said as he watched the reunion below.

" Hey, eve. Sorry it took this idiot so long to come back."

Clark said as he landed on the balcony of the building.

" Eve, I'm sorry. I know these two months must have been hard. But I'm home. I'm back now."

Mark said to the woman.

" Two months? Mark you've been gone for six months!"

Eve snapped back.

" WHAT!?"

both Mark and Clark yelled.

" Eve are you serious it's been four months since I went into that cave?"

Clark asked as he ran to the woman.

" What cave?"

Eve asked through tears.

" I've got to go!"

Clark yelled as he raced out of the house leaving the two behind in a hurry.

' No way! No way! No way was I gone for four months!'

Clark thought as he raced through space. Pushing himself as fast as he could to get home as soon as possible.

Clark re-entered earth's atmosphere shaking the planet as he raced towards his parents' house.

" Thank you for all the help, Mr. and Mrs. Kent."

Anissa said as she fed Johnathan.

" It's no problem, Anissa. You and Johnathan are both family."

Martha replied

" Absolutely."

Johnathan stated.

" I... I just miss him so much."

Anissa said solemnly.

" Did they ever find a body?"

Martha asked

" No, nothing. He just vanished."

Anissa replied.

" Then he ain't dead. I'm sure of it!"

Johnathan declared

" How can you be so sure?"

Anissa asked

" He's a fighter. he always has been. I know that. You know that. I believe in him."

Johnathan declared.

" In fact, any minute now he's going to walk through that door a crying mess because of what he put you through watch."

Johnathan joked.

Suddenly a massive earthquake shook the entirety of the Kent farm and nearby cities.

" Anissa!"

Clark yelled as raced into the house a crying mess.

" Clark!"

Anissa yelled as she ran into Clarks arms with baby Johnathan.

" I'm so sorry love."

Clark said as he held his family in his arms.

" Clark, I was beginning to think you were gone."

Anissa cried.

" I'm so sorry love. I didn't mean to hurt you."

Clark replied.

" You came back."

Anissa croaked as she cried into the man's chest.

" I told you I always will. I love you. Both of you."

Clark said as he kissed the woman.

" Hey little guy. Daddy's sorry for being gone so long. I didn't miss your first crawl did I?"

Clark asked as he held his son in his arms.

Clark looked down at his son and smiled.

" Uahhh! hahaha!"

Johnathan laughed at his father.

" He missed you, Clark. I missed you."

Anissa said to the man.

Clark looked up from his son and smiled at his wife.

" Welcome home clark!"

Anissa said as she hugged her family.

" That's right. I'm home."

Clark replied as he wrapped his arm around his wife, pulling her into a hug along with their son.
