Ezekiel let out a deep breath that he wasn't aware he was holding until his eyes laid on her smiling face. He still couldn't believe what he had seen just seconds ago but having her, in his arms, safe and sound made his heart that was tensed up, calm down.
His eyes stayed on her face until he began to see her face turn redder making him turn his gaze away in embarrassment.
He cleared his throat softly while Skyla bit her lips shyly and looked at anywhere but him. She clenched her hand that was clutching his shirt making him turn to her again.
"Thank you" Skyla mumbled as she focused her gaze on his collar instead of his eyes that was making her heart go wild.
She heard him hum softly, making her lips curl.
Suddenly two figures flashed beside them, breaking the small warm bubble around them.
"Skyla, are you alright?"
Skyla turned to look at the panicking Casper and chuckled, "I'm alright, Casper"
Yeah.. she was alright...
