All those lies

He looks at me with confusion in his eyes.

"What are you saying? I thought you didn't want to run away? What even happened? Did something happen to you? I was almost worrying yesterday because you didn't show up. I thought you don't want to see me again after I told you to run away. How did you change your mind? And what's with all the injuries on your body?"

I wish I could answer to him and tell him what happened to me, or what happened to Ria. I wish I could just say it. Just say "I need help" but I know that I can't. Is it because I'm scared? Probably it is. I'm scared that they won't see me as the strong immortal guy that I am. In reality I'm not strong at all. Ria probably knew that from the beginning.

"I can't tell it to you. Something… Happened. You wouldn't understand."

I say and look at him. Now he looks almost mad, but I don't know why he would be. I didn't say anything wrong.

"Then try it! Try to explain it to me. Of course I can't understand anything if you never talk to me. I feel like you're keeping too many things from me. I don't even know who you are!"

"You say you don't know who I am, but who are you in reality? I know that you've been lying to me all this time! Why should I even trust you?"

My voice got louder than I expected. I didn't mean to be loud, but he was the one yelling at me. He looks at me in shock after what I just said.

"That's not true… When did I lie to you? How would you know that?"

I didn't really want to say that I know he was lying. I don't even know which lies he told or when he was lying to me, but I trust in Ria's words more than anything right now.

"A girl named Ria who's ability is it to see through lies told me I shouldn't trust you."

He stopped looking mad. He probably knew Ria, because now he starts to chuckle like a little child. Did I say something funny or why is he laughing?

"Haha but of course! The little Ria. Why didn't I think of that? She was the first Cora I talked to when they trapped me here. She was so mysterious. How is she doing?"

I clench my fists in order to not show how mad I actually was right now.

"She died today."

I say dry and look him in the eyes to see his reaction. He looked surprised for a second, but not too bothered by her death.

"Is that why you changed your mind? You know, because of the escaping thing?"

"Could be."

I answer, but I wasn't really sure myself why I changed my mind. I just feel like I can't stay here any longer… The guilt is eating me up from the inside.

He smiles and also makes eye contact with me.

"Then let's run away?"

I nod.

"Let's run away."

"So what's your plan?"

He asks me, but actually I thought he had a plan. He was the one asking me first to run away. I mean sure, I asked the second time, but I thought he would have a plan if he asks me to run away just like that.

"Wait I thought you're the one with a plan?"

He laughs as if I said something funny.

"I'm just kidding! My plan isn't done but it's a start at least. Are you willing to do anything I tell you? Are you willing to trust me blind?"

I hesitate at that question. I don't trust him at all, to be honest. He still hasn't told me yet what he lied about and he still is a Mystery that I can't see through. But I'm sure that I can escape with his help. He has all the power that I need to escape from this disgusting place.

"I will do anything you want, as long as you won't betray me and leave me behind. I want to escape this place, no matter what.

He takes a few steps through the room, as if he was thinking for a moment, but I'm sure he just does it to look cool or mysterious.

"Alright what about… ah I've got an idea!"

I'm sure this idea can't be good.

"What is it?"

I ask but he didn't look at me.

"Jinsei?"

He turns around and we make eye contact.

"Hm?"

He smiles now.

"Let's kill the Professor."
