"Oh dear, I'm so scared~" Su Lang mocked, hugging his shoulders. "But the ending you described sounds awful, really fitting for you!"
"You bastard, I'll kill you!" Yang Shi was infuriated, his face twisted with rage. He turned and shouted, "What are you waiting for? Get him!"
"Yes, sir!"
The four junior martial artists immediately surrounded Su Lang. Although their master had instructed them not to cause trouble, they couldn't stand by idly while Yang Shi was seething with anger. Moreover, they were outside the city, and killing someone here wouldn't pose a threat given the Yang family's influence.
"Hmph! Scared now?" Yang Shi sneered at Su Lang. "If you kneel and beg for mercy, I might consider sparing your life."
"Kneel down!"
"Our young master isn't someone you can offend!"
"Kneel now, or don't blame us for being ruthless!"
"Kneel, hurry up!"
The four guards looked at Su Lang with contempt. Four against one was a sure win for them.
"Ah, it's your misfortune to have provoked me!" Su Lang sneered, drawing his Tang Dao. The sunlight reflected off the blade, emitting a chilling gleam.
Yang Shi and his four guards felt a shiver down their spines, sensing something ominous.
"What's the holdup? Get him!" Yang Shi roared, veins bulging on his forehead. "You have three seconds to finish him off!"
"Kill!"
The four guards shouted in unison, drawing their swords and charging at Su Lang.
"I can't believe I was scared of this trash..." Yang Shi relaxed, watching the flurry of blades and feeling assured that Su Lang would be incapacitated within seconds. He could already envision torturing Su Lang, bringing a cruel smile to his face.
But in the next moment, his smile froze.
In his pupils, he saw a flash of lightning-imbued blade and the bodies of his four guards flying backward!
"Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!"
The four martial artists landed in various poses, crying out in agony.
One second, just one second. One slash, just one slash!
Yang Shi's four junior martial artists were all severely injured, writhing in pain!
"How is this possible? Am I dreaming?" Yang Shi muttered in disbelief. A seemingly guaranteed fight had ended with his subordinates being incapacitated in a single strike.
"Check for yourself if it's a dream!" Su Lang coldly stepped forward, appearing in front of Yang Shi like the wind, and slapped him hard.
"Slap!"
As a mere quasi-martial artist, Yang Shi couldn't even see Su Lang's movement. He spun through the air and landed face-first on the ground.
"Ah—!!" Yang Shi screamed in pain, clutching his face. Blood flowed from his ears, nose, and mouth. His half-face was swollen, and this was with Su Lang holding back. A full-force slap from Su Lang, a high-level martial artist, could have easily exploded Yang Shi's head.
"Ah! It hurts! I'm bleeding!" Yang Shi's terror intensified as he touched his own blood, crying out in fear.
"So weak? The real fun hasn't even started yet!" Su Lang sneered, walking towards Yang Shi.
"No, stay away!" Yang Shi shrieked, "Get away, you devil! I don't want to die!"
Each step Su Lang took sounded like a death knell to Yang Shi, making him almost explode with fear.
"Didn't you promise to torment me endlessly?" Su Lang reached Yang Shi, his foot just centimeters from Yang Shi's face.
"No! Please, give me a chance. I'll never dare again!" Yang Shi sobbed, "I truly know my mistake, Master Su, please spare me!"
Su Lang smirked, "It's not impossible to spare you. It depends on how much you're willing to pay."
With four junior martial artists as guards, Yang Shi's family was undoubtedly wealthy, a temptation hard for the penniless Su Lang to resist!
