|3rd POV|
Ozpin cannot help but be excited to see the new weapons. It has been a while since the people of Remnant made something new that does not involve dust. The last one is the solar-based energy generator, but it has come to a stop after a month of development.
The official reason is that the machine is not as good as a Dust-Energy-Based generator, but he knows the real reason why they stop doing whatever they are doing. SDC is the reason why they stop whatever they are doing.
SDC makes sure the team does not get the funding they want and even sabotages their research by bribing one of the researchers to make sure all the prototypes they somehow create explode.
Greed. That is something that Ozpin knows and hates from the bottom of his heart. The previous SDC is something that he even likes, as Nicholas Schnee is a great friend who is loyal, kind, and just.
SDC, under him, is a company that prioritizes the goods of the people and the kingdom. He is a hardworking and ambitious man, but he knows when to reign his ambition.
Sadly, he is cursed only to have a daughter who wants nothing to do with his company and legacy.
Evan Nicholas does not want his legacy to crumble, which is why he chose Jacques Gelé as the one taking care of his company.
"And that's when the company goes downhill."
"Ozpin?"
"Nothing, Glynda. Something comes to mind, but nothing you need to worry about."
"If you say so, Ozpin. Anyway, we are about to arrive at the testing ground."
Ozpin nods his head and looks out of the Bullhead's window. He can see a group of people already waiting for him and the people from Beacon. He promises the Titan Forge Industries, the new company, to test their weapons before they can produce them for the public.
When they land, Ozpin and the others leave the Bullhead, where one of the council members greets him. He is the councilman who gives permission for the company to join the weapon industry and the one who provides the company with a pass to enter the testing test, something many companies fail to get.
Ozpin doesn't know how much money they need to bribe this man, but it must be a lot of money, or they have some kind of blackmail material strong enough for him to agree.
"Ozpin."
"Councilman Ryan. Is everything ready?"
"Yes. Come on. We even managed to capture Grimm for this test."
Ozpin can see three cages in the distance. The first one is filled with a Beowolf. The second one is filled with a Boarbatusk. The last one is the biggest out of the three, filled with an Alpha Creep.
As they get closer to the cages, a woman walks toward him with a smile and says.
"Ah, Headmaster Ozpin. It is a pleasure to meet you once again."
"Ah, Chloe. How are you?"
"I am doing great, thank you for asking. Are these the guns?"
Chole smiles and nods her head. Ozpin sees the blond woman take one of the weapons and says.
"Can I ask who will be the one shooting?"
Ozpin looks at one of the students and lets him take the weapon.
"This is an M35 Galaxy Lasgun. This automatic gun fires an energy beam that causes a small explosion that vaporizes the target. It can fire 220 shots per minute. The weapon has a very low chance of being jammed even after continuous firing."
"What about the ammo? That amount of energy requires a huge amount of dust, right?"
Glynda looks at the weapon in interest.
"Don't worry. Like I said before this test, this weapon does not require dust. It uses this."
Chloe takes out a power pack and continues.
"This is a Power Pack, the thing that produces the energy the gun requires for the laser emitter the weapon needs."
"Is it like a battery? If it is, do we need to recharge it, or do we need to change the battery?"
"If the Power Pack is empty, you only need it to get sunlight or use one of these."
Chloe takes another device, Charger Maw, and says.
"This is Charger Maw. It is the thing that will charge your Power Pack. It can charge three empty packs before it goes empty."
Ozpin looks at the Power Pack in wonder before saying.
"Are you willing to sell some of those power packs? I want to see if it can power some of the facilities in Beacon."
Chloe gives him a bright smile and says.
"You don't need to worry. Our company is also developing something bigger that will produce energy for the whole city. We will demonstrate the power plant in the next Technology Expo."
"Truly?"
Ozpin looked at her in excitement.
"Yes. We have been developing this technology for years, and it is time to show the result."
"I see. That is good. Ah, I think we should start the test, right?"
"You are right. Please shoot the target in front of you before we test it to a larger amount of Grimm. We found a good amount of Grimm nearby."
Ozpin nods his head and lets his student fire the Lasgun. The others see the laser hit the Grimm and see it pierce through the bone plating of Beowolf with ease.
"Woah! That is bright!"
Chloe nods at the exclamation from the student.
"That is right. Because it is an energy-based weapon, it is bright. That is a weakness of the weapon. However, to fight against Grimm tide, you do not need to worry about the enemy knowing your location. That is why we advertise the weapon as the protector of the frontier. We aim to let the people of Remnant spread outside the bigger city and repopulate the planet."
Ozpin nods his head and smiles at her words.
"I see. That is a great goal."
They continue to test the gun, and two teams from Beacon use the gun to hunt down the Grimm in the Forever Fall forest. They even manage to destroy a Grimm Wave using nothing but Lasgun.
By the end of the day, the test was a success, and Titan Forge Industries had the permit to sell its weapons. Beacon Academy will buy two hundred Lasguns when the company mass-produces the weapon.

"Ava, how is the machine?"
"They are stable and ready to be deployed to our new building, father."
"Good. Tell Chloe to start transporting the machine and start the production."
It has been ten days since the Lasgun test, and it has been three days since I got another charge to use. I added all of them into [Mass Production], allowing me to create a machine to produce the parts to make Lasgun.
"I will, father. What should we do about the worker? Should we open a recruitment?"
"Yes. I will create more androids for upper management. We can hire the rest to help us in the production. We will accept anyone, but make sure to do a background check. If they are problematic, reject them."
"I will take care of it, father."
"Thank you, dear. Sorry for all the work I put you into."
Ava shakes her head and says.
"No, Father! I am glad to help you, and the work has become easier after the upgrade you gave me."
I smile at her and say.
"Anyway, I need to start the next project while you are busy with that."
"Oh! Are we finally upgrading our armory?"
"That's right. I think it is time for me to make something for myself."
