 Chapter 5:

I was twenty five years old. The time had come to go to the royal academy. The time had come to the start of the novel. I had been enjoying life all this time and it was getting boring. I decided to go to the academy. It only took me ten years to grow to this extend. Silent development is the true power. 

I was sitting in a car, driving all the way to the royal city. There was nothing special that had happened till now. Suddenly I saw there was something special happening in front of me. This Kingdom did not even have well paved roads and I was already dissatisfied with this treatment. Now seeing the bandits in front of me, I did not think much and killed them using my sword. The capital was good looking covering all the six sides with huge walls at each side. The walls were made of enchantments and only the front gate was the only gate. The idea of design was foolish as there would be no way to escape when the people had already invaded the city. When I looked through the eyes of heavens, there seemed to be some dungeons connecting the castle to the outside of the city. More foolish. Can't someone among them build a single side transmission channel to outside to escape. Fools. 

I went over to the gate. Even though I did not come in carriage like other nobles, but the fact that I was driving a car was more than enough to show off my power. I chuckled and asked, "Why don't you simply arrest me. It seems that being a lord has its own advantages."

The knight bowed her head and said, "It is indeed so. But even if you are a lord you are allowed to fly over this city."

I threw the my personal insignia over to her. She caught it and after seeing the badge, her face was astonished. She bowed and said, "Sorry sir, did not know that you were the esteemed Great Marquise. Forgive me for not noticing. I will notify all other patrol captains and the commander that you have arrive at the capital. They will make sure that you are not disturbed."

She jumped and stood in air. She smiled and returned the insignia with both hands. I smiled and gave her a dragon crystal made of mana. The different crystals made of energy by different beings and made from me was not at different in any sense as both were indeed energy. The crystal that I gave her was copies from a wind dragons core and purified further using my techniques. This women was indeed well versed in wind magic and was a patrol captian at this young age. It will be a worthful investment.

The knight was astonished and did not want to take it. The look of my eyes showed that she had no other choice but to accept it. All the people seeing could sense that the wind dragons mana crystal was a costly thing. I smiled and drove away. I was not a fool to flood the market with cheap luxury foods. Only rare things are costly and it is indeed necessary to maintain it so. Artifacts are unique since they are one of a kind and all shall bow to me since only I can break this Universe's entropy.

I entered my mansion. There were android on all side. I went over and lay down on the cushion-sofa and activated the PlayStation. The games were made by the AI and I was enjoying the game. I ordered Lucy, my personal AI maid, to search for the captain. Information about the royal capital and different relationships directly came into my mind through the power of clone. That knight was the daughter of an earl who had enough talent to become a knight king. She had come to take over the command of the griffin army through connections. And here I though she was a warlike women standing tall and all the information points to the fact that she had never worked hard. So a foolish women using the power of her family was indeed not worthy but the power behind her family was interesting. 

In two weeks I should enter the academy and participate in this façade. The fact that people are asked to join the age of twenty five shows that the kingdom wants strong to make connections with the strong. By this age the people would have either inherited their fiefdoms along with the titles in extremely lucky cases and otherwise the heir would have already been decided. The year of study was nothing more than façade and parties to take care of royal sentiment and to promote friendship among the new era of lords. Also the normal life expectancy of lords are around 150 years, making them enjoy the life. The reason why it takes a long time to inherit and pass on the mantle is because more the power the nobles have the less chance that they can have children.

 Chapter 6:

I had received an invitation to the banquet and was on the way to attend the banquet. The King had decided to host the banquet in my name due to my position. The different people were present from all walks of life, all standing on the apex of the Kingdom. 

Two android butlers were following me to show of basic etiquette to these nobles. I entered through the main gates driving with a convey of four cars. The energy showed my was big enough to challenge the royal family and the message to others were noted. I entered through the main door and all the people in the hall kept silent waiting for me. The King smiled and welcomed me.

The Kind smiled and said, "Now let us welcome the great Marquis."

All the others smiled and clapped showing their support. I smiled and bowed showing elegance and returning gratitude for their support. I entered and gave the king a box wrapped in skin of an elf maiden. The King accepted it with a smiled. The King and Queen were entertaining me when the princess came to invite me.

She smiled gracefully and said, "My lord, why don't you come and join us young people."

The King smiled proudly and said, "Lord Mance, why don't you get acquainted with them. After all, it would be hard to understand how to enjoy like youngsters for us old people."

I said, "No need to say such things your grace. You are not much old and I enjoy talking to you. But yes, I should indeed leave you to others and cannot occupy the time of the King alone."

I walked alongside the princess. She smiled slightly walking alongside me. I asked her flirtingly, "I haven't heard much about you princess. What kind of person are you. I asked, "For an untalented princess you do have some connections. Say, are you perhaps engaged to someone from the upper nobility."

She smiled but her eyes could see sadness, "None granted me my lord. Most likely I will have to marry as a side-concubine. My status is so low that I might even be given away to a hero or something. After all, isn't that the story that commoners like to hear."

I said, "It is indeed so."

We had reached the place where some young people of my age had gathered. I smiled to them and all of them smiled to me. The young man with red hair smiled to me and said, "Greeting Lord Mance. I am Renly, the heir to the Dukedom of Rosewood."

The others were also introduced in similar manner. There were three more heirs to Duke and three princesses. There were also sisters to the heir of Dukes who were attached to the heirs. I was talking to them and understood the position of the princess besides me. She was nothing more than useless trash. The only good thing is that she is beautiful. The reason she was asked to call me was because she was nothing more than an errand girl. I did not pay much attention to her.

Brian asked me, "So do you have any ideas of new business?"

I replied, "I have no such interest in doing so. I am already a full fledged lord and can call upon all the resources of my family."

Renly said, "We heard that you have connection with the Eastern Imperial Trade cooperation. How about introducing us to them"

Jerald said, "So what are your plans? You are in the Royal Capital after all."

I smiled and said. "Attend a few banquets and enjoy life. Enjoy the time at the academy. There are no other ideas at the present and I would like nothing more than that. Maybe enjoying the war would be interesting."

Jessica, the sister of Jerald who takes care of all the finances of her brother and will be the accountant of the her brother in the future smiled and asked, "I haven't heard about any engagement related to you. Are you not engaged yet. How about I introduce a few girls to you."

I said with a smile, "Sure, I will take upon that offer."

I smiled and asked the leave from the group and went to the King to inform that I will be leaving. He was surprised and asked if there was something wrong with the party. I smiled and said that nothing such had occurred and it was due to my personal reasons. I announced that the Eastern imperial shop at the Royal capital will be having 30% off in the next three days as my gift to all of them present here. 

I was walking outside the castle when the princess Melisandre came to me and walked alongside me. No one was outside and she asked with that fake smile. "Can you allow me to join your entour later."

I had a frown. This woman was like a leech trying to get attached to anyone. Till now no one has given her a chance since she was useless. It was useless to support her but I have more than enough resources as the richest man in the world. She is beautiful enough to be my concubine. 

I smiled and said, "I like clean women. If you want to be with me stay away from other men."

I gave her a platinum card worth three billion denari. She had a surprise and sadness on her face. She felt despair and could not accept that fact. I smiled and said, "You are not clever enough to walk in this whirlpool of politics and is neither strong enough to stand on your own or to be valued. Your parents will not support you to take care of you or your standing. Your only option will be to marry someone who will only use you as a women as you will be useless even after marriage. You cannot manage a mansion, and yes, I got the information from my people. You are useless. I walked away in a stylish manner showing my stylish back to my women. I entered my the care and the convey moved to my house. It was indeed a wonderful day.
