Harleen:
"What in the living fuck is this," I ask, looking all over my arms as the new leather black and red jacket with pants. Seeing knee pads and dual holsters on my legs, I stop looking all around when I hear beeping coming from above. Looking at first but seeing nothing, I realize the beeping is coming from a pair of new dark-red goggles on top of my head. Putting them on, a message appears across the lens.
"Hello," the message starts, "This is for you. This is for you but it is still mine. Mine, not yours. This is an excellneno-suit that had been specifically modified for you. Use it well and go easy on the rocket fuel. It's hard to make."
"Rocket fuel," I repeat, an invisible question mark floating above my head. "What rocket fuel? What the hell are you talking about? What, can I fly now?"
"Flight command initializes," a very computerized voice says, the part of the suit surrounding my feet changing, bumps growing all over before bursting and revealing new brightly-sliver boots. Even before I can think of anything to say, smoke seeps out from beneath them, and before I can think of anything to say about the smoke, it changes into fires that launch me into the air!
"Holy crap," I scream, covering my head in time to shield it from an oncoming wall. "Ouch."
Falling down, I hold my head.
"Son of a bitch," I moan, rubbing a new bump on the top of my head. "That hurt. That hurts a lot."
Despite the thudding pain on top of my head, I can still hear a familiar shriek. Turning around, I see Manbat flies toward me! Reaching for my revolvers, I stop looking when someone drops upon Manbat, Manbat hitting the floor!
"Hello Harleen," the guy in sunglasses says, waving at me. "Where's Catwoman?"
"Over there," I answer, pointing at Selina, still pinned under Batman. "She needs help!
"Okay. Hey, I don't suppose by chance you have the second disc? Do you?"
Nodding my head, I reach into my pocket and hand it over. Taking it, the man raises his hand and pulls back the disc. Spinning around, he then tosses the disc, the disc flying through the air, bouncing off a few walls before hitting Selina in her arm!
The suit quickly taking over, spreading out and covering her, the man cups his hands around his mouth.
"Catwoman," he yells, "Repeats after me!"
Catwoman:
"Cat guards," I repeat, wondering what the hell he meant or what the hell is a 'cat guard'.
"Cat guards initializes," a voice starts, the source of it seems to be coming from the freaky new suit. Before I can ask, something starts forming in my free hand. Small black boxes shooting out of my wrist, I stare at them.
"Smash them against the floor," the man in sunglasses screams, "Now! Do it now!"
Wasting no time, I slam the boxes against the floor, clouds of smokes bursting and encasing Bruce and me! Hearing what sounds a lot like a cat, something happens and now, I can get up.
Wondering what happened, I wave the smoke away to see where is Bruce.
"What in the living hell," I say, the last of the smoke fading away and seeing three small, metal cats standing before me. Silver-colored, the three cats each seem to be some sort of robot, nuts, and bolts covering most of their bodies, and their eyes each different colors.
"Uuhhh. Hello, creepy robotic cats."
Wondering now what to do, I stop wondering when I hear footsteps. Turning around, I see Bruce getting back up, holding his neck. Getting into a fighting stance, my legs apart and my fists upfront, I lower my hands when I see the three cats charge toward Bruce, leaping right onto him! While two jumps right onto Bruce, the third one jumps to his side and raises its tail! The tail extending, it fires at Bruce, wrapping around one of his legs and pulling. Falling back down to the ground, the cats somehow pin him down. Once pinned, they all turn to face me.
"Okay," I start, "Now this is starting to get really creepy. I mean, robot cats. Really?"
"It's something," the man yells, seeing him and Harleen back away as beta and One Earth soldiers advance toward them. "It's work! Just shut up and get what we need!"
The:
Grabbing a soldier's head, I slam it into my upcoming knee, knocking the bastard out! Pushing him back, I look up in time to see a beta raise its hand at me. A grapple hook firing out from within the palm, I lean out of the way and grab the grapple!
Wrapping it around my hand, I pull the beta toward me! Flying toward me, I catch its head and crush it, sparks flying out of its squeezed head. Ripping the head completely off, I also rip the grapple out of its palm.
"Anytime you want to join in," I scream, dropping the head and grapple. "I am not stopping you."
"Unless this fancy suit of yours is bulletproof," Harleen screams back, "I ain't moving!"
Popping out, she fires a few rounds from her revolver, hitting only betas!
"Wonderful aims," I comment, pulling out some kunai from my jacket and tossing them. Hitting both betas and soldiers, I turn to the clown. "If only I had half your skill."
Seeing a soldier reaches for something in his pocket, I pull out another kunai and throw it! Hitting his hand and dropping the thing, I speed forward and swing downward, the soldier slamming into the ground!
"Also," I yell, "Yes! That fancy suit of mine is indeed bulletproof!"
Looking at the ground, I see what the soldier was reaching for; a small, green, baseball-shaped grenade.
"Hmm. I can use this for later."
Picking it up, I place it in for my pocket for later.
Harleen finally joining in the fight, she jumps out from behind a wall and begins unleashing a hailstorm of bullets from her dual revolvers!
"I can hit the betas," Harleen screams, "But I can't hit the soldiers! I don't want to hurt anyone! Even if they are trying to hurt us!"
"Then switched weapons," I reply, looking at the revolvers in her hands. "Suit! Rubber bullets!"
"Rubber bullets initializing," Harleen's suit says, the suit wrapping around her hands and her guns. The excellneno fabrics changing the large barrel revolvers into modified Glock 19 pistols, Harleen stares at them with wide eyes and an open mouth.
"Rubber bullets," Harleen asks, looking at me.
"They do not kill but they do certainly hurt," I say, noticing more soldiers advancing toward us. "Oh yeah, some practice targets! Go nuts, clown!"
Turning to face them, she aims down the sight of her new guns.
"Where are all these guys coming from," Harleen asks, "The Batcave isn't this big!"
"I'm guessing us being here is upsetting a few people. Especially considering there's information in here those people don't want to share."
"What kind of information," Harleen asks.
"Very secret information," I answer, dropping onto my knee and rolling behind a corner. Peeking around the corner, I toss a kungi, the kungi exploding and unleashing a blanket of thick black smoke.
Stopping, the soldiers drop their weapons and start coughing into their fists.
"Take your best shot," I say, turning to Harleen and looking around for Selina. Selina typing away at a computer terminal, I see a mind-controlled Batman get back up despite the cats still pulling him down! About to warn her, I stop when I see a giant pair of brown wings shoot up from a pile of broken computer parts!
Manbat erupting from the piles, he screams into the air before jumping up and flying toward us.
"Oh joy," I thought, "Just what we need; a giant rat with wings. No wait, those are pigeons."
Looking for something I can use, I remember the grenade I picked up earlier.
"Thank you for this," I say, reaching and pulling out the grenade. "I would prefer to use it later but I guess I can use it now."
Now looking for somewhere I can toss it, I see some nearby generators.
"That works. Light out y'all!"
To everyone and anyone who is reading this. I am sorry about missing the last two weeks' update. Someone at my work got into an accident, (don't worry, they are fine) and somehow, I got 'volunteered to work a few extra shifts. Literally only me, and NO ONE ELSE. Anyhow, thank you and enjoy.
