Maddy was laying on her bed, belly down with her phone in her hand when it dinged. The sudden sound startled her. She shook the sudden fear off and opened the message.

Dave🥰:

Hey cutie

I'm on my way.

Maddy's jaw dropped. She checked the time. 5:50. David was supposed to be here at six.

"FUCK MY LIFE." She screamed.

"God what is it now?" Emma said from her room.

"I DON'T KNOW HOW TO ADULT."

Emma laughed from across the hall.

Maddy grabbed her phone to send a quick reply.

Maddy jumped up from her bed and looked in her mirror. She looked like she's just come out of the walking dead.

THAT needs to change

She swung her closet doors open causing a ripple between the outfits. She had no time to think, so she settled on a black tube top, black jeans, and a pair of black Doc Martin's.

Maddy put her hair up in a bun as a finishing touch, not caring about even attempting to fix her makeup.

She checked the time again. 5:57. As she read the time, she felt another buzz.

"Alright by-" before Emma could reply, her friend had slammed the front door shut. Emma just laughed to herself.
