Mana Circuits
The heat of the fireball grew more intense as it approached Juno, but it suddenly disappeared before a muffled explosion resounded from across the hall. Juno opened his eyes in surprise to see a portal in front of him, the other side leading to the area right next to the two students.
"You're welcome." William said as he closed the portal. He didn't gloat or smirk, but Juno still found William's attitude annoying. He chose to simply nod without a word.
Across the room, William and Juno watched as a middle-aged woman in business attire approached the two students and reprimanded them in the hallway. Her face was stern like the exam proctor's, but she didn't seem to fully understand the situation and simply bellowed without a target.
Her arms were crossed in front of her chest in an overbearing manner, and she spat as she talked, emphasizing every word that came out of her mouth like it was heavenly scripture.
