Chapter 219: The Work of the Recorder

"Chatting here has its inconveniences, but in the future, if there's a chance, I hope to share a drink with Miss Sara," Tony said, appreciating the beautiful woman who seemed to have heard of his reputation. He stepped back, leaving the invitation open for another time.

"Yes, Mr. Tony Stark's invitation is something I would gladly accept when the opportunity arises," Sara replied with a smile, acknowledging the man known for hosting grand parties.

"I'm Renoli, and this is Kyle..." he continued, introducing their small group. "We've just returned from a vacation on Blue Star. But Miss Sara, can I ask what exactly your job entails?"

"I'm the Recorder," Sara said. "If you all wish to inform me of your travel plans and arrival times, I'll document that information. If you choose not to, that's perfectly fine too."

She smiled, assuring them that there would be no restrictions on their comings and goings. Since her official start, she found the job quite easy. The powerful members of the Void Sect treated her with respect, often asking her questions about her duties.

"You're just an ordinary person, right?" a curious voice came from Leicy. "Why are you working here? Don't you know the situation on the island is different from other places? Plus, being so beautiful without any real power might put you at risk."

"Miss Sonia recommended me and offered me a high salary of 1.2 million a year to become the Recorder," Sara explained. "That might seem small to you, but it's quite significant for me. Initially, I worried it might involve something illegal or that I'd encounter danger. However, everyone here has been incredibly kind and supportive."

She shared with them how the people on the island, all powerful beings, welcomed her warmly. Ordinary folks might tire of hearing the same questions over and over again, but having worked at the high-end hotel for years, patience was one of her strong suits.

"I see, so you came from the high-end hotel?" Renoli raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

"Yes, that's right," Sara nodded, realizing that establishing trust with them was essential.

Tony, now understanding that the Recorder was sent by Harvey and recommended by Sonia, felt more at ease. He recognized the value in having such a position established and could now plan accordingly.

"Alright, so in the future, we'll let you know when we're heading out," Renoli said. "What's your work schedule like?"

"My hours are from 8 AM to 8 PM," Sara replied. "If you plan to leave and don't see me around, you can send someone to relay the message. If you return from the universe late, feel free to let me know the next day."

She emphasized that it was entirely up to them whether to inform her.

"If we don't tell you, will there be any issues?" Kyle asked, a hint of curiosity in his tone.

"I'm sorry, but I can't provide an answer to that question," Sara said with an apologetic smile. "Miss Sonia didn't mention those details."

"Well, I'll be sure to stop by often," Kyle said, his interest piqued.

"I encourage that!" Sara beamed. "Though this environment is comfortable, it can get a bit lonely without visitors."

"Sure thing, I'll come by whenever I can," Kyle replied, pleased.

"Now that we've informed you of our return, can we leave?" Leicy asked, wanting to avoid any further complications.

"Yes, Lady Leicy. I've recorded your arrival. You're free to go," Sara confirmed with a smile.

The group exchanged glances, satisfied with the arrangement.

As they made their way out, Sara felt a sense of accomplishment. She had secured her place among them, and the support she had received made her confident in her new role.
