Chapter Forty

Ariel glanced down at her clothes. The soap water  mark on her cloth still soaked.

She looked at Adrian who was still staring down at her cloth, his mouth open in shock. She was shocked when the water touched her and had turned immediately to look at the cloth but it was as if he was the only one in shock.

She looked at him, a michievous smile on her face as she thought of a way to wake him up from his shock.

She dipped her hands into the water and just as she did that, he glanced up at her, his eyes apologizing for the splash.

She smirked at him and splashed the water on him, bursting into laughter as she saw the shock on his face.

Adrian stared at her, shocked at the water splashed in him. He looked at her, opening his mouth to say something but stopped when he heard the sound of her laughter.

He stood there, entranced by the sound and smiled. He had never heard her laugh before, at least not because of him.
