Who to believe when no one can believe themselves?

"Any luck?" Damian asked Jean as she walked out of the room. She was questioning Jeffery again but she came out empty handed.

She shook her head in disappointment which led Damian to believe that she didn't get anything useful.

"He keeps saying stuff like 'i don't know','i didn't do it' or 'When will i be set free?'."

Damian scratches his head.

"I guess Naoto promised him a way out of jail if he told the truth ..without knowing his circumstances.."

"Yeah I'm pretty sure all his dealings with 'that guy' are only when he's on his second personality."

Jean looked at the window that separates her from Jeremy; he was holding his head in grief.

"..."

"..."

Both Jean and Damian were silent as they watched Jeremy lose his mind, both feeling sorry for the boy.

"Maybe he would say if his second personality were to…you know." Damian suggested but Jean shook her head.

"The kid has no idea how it happens so we can't just turn him…"

Damian looked as if he lost hope at that point.

"So.. who's gonna tell him?"

Jean looked at him confused but also looked like she had a slight idea of what he was talking about.

"The kid…who's gonna tell Jeremy what's going to happen?"

The room went silent again no one wanted to do it

"..."

"I'll escort him back to his cell-" Jean finally said entering the room one more time.

Leaving Damian with his thoughts.

'If this I feel after doing nothing to this kid....i counted, imagine how Naoto feels.'

I looked out the window from my bed enjoying the sunset, I was finally well enough to sit up straight and walk a bit but i'm afraid any more than that would only tear my wounds open.

_knock_knock_

"Come in.." I said still admiring the view out of my window.

"Hey…Naoto?"

I looked at the door and saw my sister.

I smiled and waved at her then I heard two more voices coming to the door.

"Uncle Naoto!" They both said in unison.

It was Amy and many of the best nieces I could ask for.

Amy tried to hug me but her mother gently held her back and warned them not to touch me, at least not now.

"I'm sorry I had to bring them." My sister apologized but I was totally ok with it. In fact I'm even happier she brought them along.

"So… are you going to be ok?" My sister looked as worried as usual about my health ever since I started this job.

"I'll be fine. This isn't my first time at the hospital." I tried to reassure her but she shook her head.

"Just because it's your first time doesn't mean it won't be your last-"

"You've been carrying a lot of weight on your shoulders..When you think something is your fault you'll risk life and limb to fix it but you can't fix everything, Especially yourself."

My sister looked as if she were about to cry. Her two daughters tried to cheer her up and I tried my best too.

We had a long winded chat catched up on a few things and even played a few games with the twins before they finally left.

When they closed the door I let out a huge sigh and whispered under my breath.

"Fuck me…"

Michael sat outside waiting on his roommate to get in again cause he left his key somewhere in the office..again.

While he waited he pulled the phone out to text Gabriel but he hasn't read any of his messages so far.

Michael- "Hey dude can i ask you something?"

Michael- "It's urgent."

The rain started to fall on Michael as he typed to Gabriel.

Putting his phone away he looked at the multiple pictures he took of the crime scene with no information to back it up just the name of the victims and the potential killer.

"I'm going to write the truth....the people need to know-"

Michael whispered under his breath as he put the photos in his pocket.

"The people will know-...."
