New Mission

Four day's passed since my chat with Ameri and fight with Orven, i'm laying on my bed looking at the celling and thinking about upcoming rebellion. I'm really hopeful for Orven and his guys to win but i also need to get out of town in the risk of possible death when Osvetus explodes.

I care for the academy but i'm not going to die for someone who pushed me off and kicked me out, most of people i knew here are either gone because Athena or changed so i really don't feel same connection as before.

Suddenly i heard a knock on the door and two to me very well known guards stood there looking at me with serious expression like always. 

"Come with us." 

One of them said and i left my apartment, we walked trough empty streets and i could see hateful glances at me and other two guards. People started hating me for apparently joining Athena's side even if that isn't true, people really have changed since she took control over academy.

After a while we finally arrived at Athena's palace and guards opened heavy wooden doors signalizing me to enter in the process, i entered and gulped seeing Athena in her usual mood. Remembering what happened five days ago just made me even more nervous, i approached the throne and bowed with my head looking down.

Everything was quiet for couple of seconds until Athena spoke full of hatred. 

"Since you are so gifted that you destroyed some puny airships."

She then smiled and giggled like evil incarnate.

"I will be sending you to the frontline and your mission is to push back elves who plan to attack us at the town of Zelos, you will be joining captain your friends Grumpy and Shane." 

I was surprised for a moment there since last time i saw Grumpy and Shane was month and a half ago. I knew that they were on some important mission but didn't know exactly where so i guess i'll be joining them now.

"Yes Miss Athena."

I said still bowing down, Athena just looked at me with a pity like looking at poor old man, she called the guards again and they escorted me outside.

Honestly i can't wait for Athena's death, she needs gruesome death after everything she's done, hopefully Osvetus will avenge every person killed by Athena and her rash decisions. 

Guards instructed me to go at the dock and meet captain named Jone, hearing his name reminded me of one person who greeted me at my arrival here almost two months ago. I grabbed all stuff and equipment with me and started heading towards dock.

When i have arrived there i could see Jone being at ship's entrance and reading some list, probably list of crewmates. I came closer and it confirmed my guess that Jone is that friendly airship captain who greeted me, Grumpy and Shane couple of months ago. His outfit didn't change but i could see more armor on him which means that he's prepared for melee combat.

I gulped thinking about melee combat against Sky Elves who are very skilled fighters and magicians by the nature, but it is what it is so i'm going to give my best to not engage close combat. 

Jone saw me and waved, he knows that i'm joining him judging by his reaction. I came closer and boarded the ship, ship is big enough for fifty people to board it, ship's name is Aura and it's covered with metal plates all around it, balloon is in white color and it's covered with four propellers. Ship doesn't have open deck unlike many other and i heard that it's made for very long battles and travels.

"Sparrow i'm very lucky to have you joining me."

Jone laughed and patted me on the shoulder, i smiled and we gave each other a proper handshake. He gave me basic instructions around the ship and later on left me alone to do whatever i want, i went into personnel rooms and put my stuff there. 

Personnel rooms aren't pretty in most of the ships, it's just a big room filled with bunch of double decker beds and wardrobe for our stuff. Currently no one besides me was inside it since most of other's went to eat or work something else, i laid down on the bed thinking about what is yet to come.

And so the Aura flied, leading twenty other smaller airships ready to battle against cunning enemy, Sparrow fell asleep quickly after closing his eyes and so did the others. 

But this moment of peace is temporary until Sparrow's eyes open again and his body starts buzzing and vibrating all over.
