Itachi and Orochimaru left the Akatsuki hideout and made their way towards the Uzumaki ruins. Itachi was not that much of a speaker. So there were no conversations between them. They travelled very fast as both of them were High kage level Shinobi and reached the ruins in half a day.

Sasuke and the others sensed the two approaching and made their way to confront them. Seeing Itachi, Sasuke started remembering the past and a tear rolled down his eye. Sakura came next to him and tried to comfort him. "It's ok Sasuke. We are all with you". Sasuke nodded "Thank you Sakura"he said.

Sasuke then approached Itachi. Itachi seeing his brother also started reminiscing the past and said "How are you doing brother? I heard that you got stronger. Now you can get your revenge against me". Sasuke hearing this shook his head "I've already got revenge on the ones who did that to our clan and you brother. There's no reason for us to fight."

Itachi frowned hearing this. He wanted to get judged by an uchiha and who better than his own brother to judge him? But here his brother was refusing to fight him. He activated his Mangekyou sharingan and looked at Sasuke in the eyes saying "Tsukoyomi".

The scenery changed for Sasuke and he was now tied to a stake in a gloomy land with two moons. Itachi not long after appeared in front of him "Sasuke, I killed every Uchiha in the clan along with our parents except you because I took pity on you at that time. This is your last chance for revenge. Or I will kill you too and finish what I started."

Sasuke sighed "You know brother, this level of Genjutsu cannot harm me. I've outgrown you and I also understand you, but sadly you chose the wrong side" Sasuke then activated his eternal Mangekyou and the world broke down like glass. Itachi started bleeding from his eyes, but was happy that Sasuke had grown.

Sasuke then approached Itachi. Itachi just stared at him doing nothing and was ready to be killed by his hands. Itachi thought that Sasuke would definitely kill him now. But Sasuke just approached Itachi and strengthened his arm and hit the side of his neck Knocking him down. He then turned towards Sakura and asked "Sakura, can you help him heal from the disease and also transplant my father's eyes on him?"

Sakura nodded happily "Of course. Sasuke. I'll do anything for you." Sasuke also nodded and took the unconscious Itachi inside the lab that was prepared by Naruto for their medical training and research. Karin also went with them leaving the three Sanins standing there looking at each other.

Jiraya broke the silence "Come in guys let's have a drink like old times." All three of them smiled and went inside a house and started drinking. Jiraya spoke "I know why you did all the wrong things that you did Orochimaru. Danzo manipulated you and made you like this obsessed with Immortality. But you were too naive to go with the idea".

Orochimaru started reminiscing the past. He started thinking and it was truly foolish of him to dance to the words of Danzo. Tsunade spoke next "You did everything because of the death of your parents and you were afraid to die. At this stage, I do believe that Danzo was the one who killed your parents to turn you like this".

Orochimaru listened to them speak and then spoke himself "You may be right. I do think that he might have done it or atleast planned it to get to me. He is definitely the one who ruined all our lives. And I'm sorry about Nawaki". Tsunade as soon as she heard Nawaki's name from Orochimaru punched him smashing him into the wall. Orochimaru groaned as he stood back up and said "I deserved it for everything I did". Then he sat back to drink again.

At the lab, Sakura and Karin were performing a lung surgery on Itachi. It was a difficult surgery, but both of them had knowledge from Morden world and by far the best medical ninjas. So they were the best hope in treating lung cancer. The surgery took a while and finally they took out all the tumor present. The chakra could bisect the tumour and also destroy the tumor cells from reforming back again. It was something that was not available in the Morden world.

After the surgery, they patched Itachi up and then moved towards his eyes. They removed the eyes and Sakura brought in his father's eyes. The eyes were transplanted without a hitch and they left the lab to get some rest after the long and arduous surgery. Sasuke stayed there for a while looking at Itachi reminiscing the past times he had with his brother and then he too went out not disturbing him.

After a while, Itachi groaned "Ugh where am I". He then opened his eyes and looked he saw a ceiling. He rubbed his eyes as they itches a little and opened them only to be surprised to see everything clear again. At this time, Sasuke appeared next to him and spoke "How are you doing brother? Now you have our fathers eyes. You can see clearly and activate eternal. We have also healed you from your lung disease."

Itachi closed his eyes in thoughts as he asked "Why? Why did you heal me instead of killing me? There's the blood of the whole Uchiha clan in my hands including our parents". Sasuke just shook his head "Death is too easy for you brother. For what you did, live and repent everyday. For choosing the wrong side. That is the punishment I impose on you. Even if you kill yourself, I'll revive you and let you repent just like Naruto did to Hiruzen".

Itachi still stayed motionless as tears started falling out of his eyes. He then said "You are right Sasuke. I was too hasty in my decision and made your life miserable. I also controlled your life from that day thinking of only what I wanted. I'll live and repent apologising to everyone that I killed on that day. If you were old enough, you could have gotten a different outcome. You could have changed the people and everyone would be alive today. I'm sorry Sasuke for not being a good brother and a good Uchiha".

Sasuke smiled hearing Itachi come back from his grievances and not looking for death. He then said "Have a nice rest brother. You are not fully healed. I'll leave you alone for now." And then he started walking outside. Itachi looked at Sasuke's back and sighed. Then he laid back down closing his eyes and thinking of the past.
