Chapter 139 : After Uzu War (Rewrite)

After Raikage's death, the Uzu force took captive all the remaining enemy shinobi. After beating Raikage, Kirito was completely out.

Not only he was suffering from chakra exhaustion but at the same time using Haki for the first time left him completely tired.

"Ah, Kirito come in" Ashina saw Kirito standing outside of the office and invited him inside.

"Working again huh? What going on with the war then? We won right? Is there any backslash from the other villages or any response from Konoha?" Kirito asked being totally out of the loop here after falling unconscious.

" No, not yet. Considering that you are here meaning that you sneak out of the hospital right" Ashina said knowingly.

"Hmm yeah" Kirito was thinking about how he knew.

" I know because it was only yesterday night that you killed Raikage. It's not that long before you fall unconscious. No doctor will let you go out only after taking rest for 1 night. And that is also the reason there is no response from Konoha or other villages. It's only been 1 night" Ashina said.

"Oh," Kirito's only response was a little 'oh' being he still was thinking how Ashina knew what he was thinking.

"So I guess we are done with this entire war thing right? What happened to the rest of the enemy force." Kirito ask.

" I am not sure about the upcoming event that will be caused by this war but yes we won and that's the end of that," Ashina said with a smile on his face.

"And what about Konoha? How you are going to deal with them" Kirito asked.

"I will be holding a meeting of all the elders in the village addressing this topic specifically," Ashina said.

"By the way, you are also required to attend the meeting" he added in the end.

"What, why me," Kirito asked clearly not wanting to attend the boring meetings.

"You have to attend because you were the core of this entire war. You were the one who gave us information about this war which gave us enough time to prepare. You were the one who did the most in the war. To some extent saying that we won the war just because of you is also not wrong. So of course you need to be there" Ashina said.

Although he was praising Kirito, his voice was stern like telling Kirito that his attending the meeting is compulsory and he won't be getting out of this.

Kirito just sighed at this. While he was about to go out of the office, Ashina stopped him.

"Dude come on. I agree to attend your boring meeting right? Now what do you want" Kirito internally complained but he did not say anything to Ashina.

But the he looked os Ashina, he seemed to understand what Kirito was thinking and directly came to the topic of why he stopped him.

"This Sword, it's yours from now on," Ashina said while taking out a very familiar sword from under his desk.

Kirito was surprised looking at the sword. "That Sword" Kirito muttered.

While this was happening, Sakumo with his team went back to Konoha at their best speed.

"The Hokage needs to know about this. This is going to bring unseen complications for sure" Sakumo thought to himself.

And he was not the only person who was thinking about this.
