"Master!"
Leo saw Chiriku approaching and quickly skipped across the water, as if performing the legendary water-walking technique, landing gracefully in front of him.
Chiriku nodded in satisfaction:
"From today, I will start teaching you some D-rank ninjutsu. But before that, I need to test your chakra nature."
With that, he pulled out a small piece of paper and handed it to Leo.
Leo looked at the paper in his hand:
"This is... chakra paper, right?"
"Exactly. I should have taught you about chakra paper testing and its use in one of the lessons."
Chiriku looked at Leo expectantly.
Although the secret techniques of the Temple of Fire could be used as long as one had Sage Talent chakra, regardless of the nature, Chiriku still hoped Leo would have multiple chakra natures.
"Yes, I know how to test."
Leo held up the testing paper and slowly channeled a bit of his chakra into it.
He already knew what chakra natures he possessed, so this was just a formality for Chiriku.
Under Leo's chakra, the paper first ignited, then a mist formed to extinguish the flame, followed by crumpling, splitting in half, and finally disintegrating into pieces.
"Fire... Water... Lightning... Wind... Earth. You have all five chakra natures!"
Seeing the changes in the chakra paper, Chiriku first smiled, then was surprised, and finally, he was shocked.
He had initially thought that having three chakra natures would be excellent for Leo. But he never expected Leo to have the extremely rare talent of all five chakra natures.
Having five chakra natures was incredibly rare, even fewer than those with kekkei genkai.
While having five chakra natures didn't guarantee strength, being able to master all five natures like the Third Hokage was exceptional. However, possessing all five natures meant Leo had the potential to reach such heights and wouldn't have to worry about elemental weaknesses.
Fire beats wind, wind beats lightning, lightning beats earth, earth beats water, and water beats fire.
For ninjas of equal strength, being at an elemental disadvantage makes combat much more difficult.
With five chakra natures, Leo wouldn't have to worry about this problem. More importantly, having multiple chakra natures made it easier to combine them into more powerful compound ninjutsu.
For example, using a fire release followed by a wind release could create a more powerful combined technique.
"Master? Master?"
Seeing Chiriku in a state of shock, Leo couldn't help but call out.
"Oh, excellent. Five chakra natures, excellent..."
Chiriku, snapping out of his daze, suppressed his excitement and forced himself to calm down, marveling at Leo's composure. Despite understanding the significance of five chakra natures, Leo remained as calm and collected as ever.
"Master, can I start learning new ninjutsu now?"
Seeing Chiriku composed, Leo asked.
Chiriku nodded vigorously:
"Of course. Today, I will teach you a D-rank fire release ninjutsu: the Fireball Jutsu."
He led Leo to the training ground and began teaching him the hand seals and chakra control techniques necessary for the Fireball Jutsu.
Chiriku felt a twinge of regret that the Temple of Fire had so few ninjutsu techniques to pass on. The temple primarily focused on taijutsu, with ninjutsu serving a supplementary role. Most of their ninjutsu were D-rank and E-rank, with only two secret techniques reaching A-rank.
He initially thought that, given Leo's talent in combat, he would primarily focus on taijutsu. But discovering Leo's rare five chakra natures made him regret the limited ninjutsu resources available at the temple.
...
Another month passed, marking the last day of Leo's third month in the Naruto world.
On this day, he requested leave from Chiriku to return to the prince's mansion for the first time in three months.
"Kina, how is the task I assigned you progressing?"
In his room, Leo enjoyed a delicate meal while asking the butler, Kina, about his progress.
Kina knelt beside him and respectfully reported:
"Your Highness, since you gave the order three months ago, I selected a servant with a talent for business from the mansion and provided funds to establish a trading company. With your status, everything has been going smoothly, and the company is already profitable."
In this world, while money isn't everything, strength is paramount. However, having money can save a lot of time and trouble, providing significant help in the early stages of power growth.
The Temple of Fire lacked a wide array of ninjutsu, but Leo could place high-priced bounties in underground trading markets. Although he couldn't buy S-rank or A-rank ninjutsu, he could surely acquire some C-rank and D-rank techniques.
If he wanted someone killed but preferred not to do it himself, he could place a high bounty in the underground market. Many rogue ninjas, including those from the Akatsuki, were willing to kill for money.
The destruction of the Temple of Fire by Hidan and Kakuzu was due to a high bounty placed on Chiriku's head.
Starting with the status of a prince of the Land of Fire, Leo planned to make full use of it and not let it go to waste.
Though he wasn't skilled in business, he could delegate the task to capable subordinates. With his princely status, everything within the Land of Fire would go smoothly.
"Don't kneel. Come up and eat with me. Did you get what I asked for?"
Satisfied with Kina's progress, Leo smiled more warmly.
Seeing Leo smile, Kina breathed a sigh of relief, got up, and sat opposite Leo. She took out a box from her pocket and placed it on the table.
"Your Highness, I got it. This is the best quality available."
To Kina, the prince seemed different from the one she remembered. Although still reserved in speech, his aura had grown much stronger. She attributed this change to his training with Master Chiriku at the Temple of Fire.
