"Only someone as compassionate as yourself would feel enough pity to leave four idiots in seats of power!"
An awkward silence was present for a moment before Atsui failed to muffle his giggle and broke out in laughter.
"Hahahahaha!
A few others chuckled at the taunt before restraining themselves and keeping their mouths shut.
Hiruzen glanced at them angrily before resuming his glare aimed at Hachiro.
He knew that even without the reanimations of the former Hokage, Konoha was almost certain to lose this battle, but he couldn't help but suspect that his enemies planned to publicly humiliate them first.
Danzo was hanging limply and seemed to be in a daze. His body had scars over it that suggested he had been almost beat to death.
He then had another thought, "What if they tortured Danzo for secrets on Konoha?"
The more he went down that train of thought, the more scared he became. "Danzo should know a lot of the dirty deeds I've done. If the cloud publicises it, then I'll be forced out of Konoha!"
Hachiro concealed a small smile and 'shyly' hid behind Izumi.
"Aww~ don't look at me like that. I'll get embarrassed if you stare so intensely."
With the attention now on her, Izumi boldly stepped forward and began to declared, "Now, I will announce the heresy of the Third Hokage and the truth behind the Uchiha's massacre!"
Sasuke's eyes lit up as he moved closer in hopes of getting answers to his questions.
While, many of the other shinobi didn't find the topic all that intriguing to them, the key phrases, 'Heresy of the Third Hokage' and 'truth behind the Uchiha massacre' drew in their interest.
The clan leaders froze not too sure how to act.
Shikamaru recalled all the knowledge he had on that incident, and muttered his thoughts out loud.
"Did the Leaf intentionally kill the Uchiha? Why?"
His clan had an archive of historical documents that went back as far as the Warring States Era, but even after he searched the sea of books, one by one, he failed to find any information on it.
He concluded that it was simply stored on another floor, requiring higher permission levels, but didn't give it much thought other than that.
His parents never dwelled on the topic too long before discouraged him looking too hard.
He dropped it after his parents had told him, "You will find out one day when you are older."
Hiashi chipped in looking at the older Hokage with slight guilt.
"The Hyuga clan is doing everything with Konoha's best interest in mind."
He then clearly stated his view.
"The elders of Konoha have manipulated and rampantly hid their wrongdoings for decades. Konoha would never escape their reign of tyranny if we didn't use more drastic actions!"
Hearing the members of the Uchiha and Hyuga clan criticize his actions caused Koharu to yell with a ferocious expression.
"How dare you! Hashirama-sama, sensei, they're blatantly lying and twisting the facts. Even after rebelling they both try to justify their crimes! They took part in the invasion on Konoha, they deserve nothing short of death!"
Homura passionately cried out in indignation, "We've sacrificed our youth in dedication to the village and the Will of Fire. How dare these bastards undermine our efforts and slander our name! It's unforgiveable."
Despite their sorrowful shouts, their shinobi subordinates couldn't muster their will to battle.
Their fighting spirit had long, left the world along with the Sarutobi and Shimura clans.
Tobirama was silent as his eyes zoomed about the place like a sly fox.
He noticed that none of the Konoha ninja seemed very enthusiastic about refuting the Uchiha and Hyuga's claims and defending the higher ups of their village.
He considered the possibility that it was all true and that his decision that led to them inheriting his position had caused Konoha to fall into such a wretched state.
He clenched his fist and silently beat himself up mentally.
The aura Hashirama exuded changed abruptly, he glared at Hachiro causing his heart to skip a beat before looking back at Hiruzen.
He gloomily asked, "What happened to my..."
He hesitated and narrowed his eyes. "Granddaughter Tsunade?"
The monkey, Hiruzen, answered hurriedly, "Tsunade isn't in the village currently."
The First Hokage breathed a sigh of relief and continued with a series of concerned questions.
"What about Reto and Gabino?
He gave another silly smile and thought, "That little rascal Nawaki should have been born by now."
Tobirama frowned and voiced his confusion, "Where are the Senju clan members? I can't find any."
However, no one replied.
Perhaps, due to a mix of shame and embarrassment, the elders avoided the Kage's line of sight.
Jiraiya shook his head and sent Gamabunta back to Mount Myoboku, before he could voice an answer to their questions, a loud blast from the East reverberated through the air.
Boom!!!
They looked over and saw an angry blond haired kid ruthlessly release a torrent of punches into the Fourth Hokage's abdomen.
The blond haired kid, howled while crying and yelling hysterically, "Why did I have to be the one to shoulder the burden of the nine tails!? Why!? Weren't you suppose to be my father?!"
Part dumbfounded and baffled at the sight, the Konoha shinobi just watched as the Fourth Hokage slide along the ground but didn't lift a finger to retaliate.
They soon remembered who the kid was and locked onto the word 'father'...
Wait? That demon kid was the son of the Fourth Hokage?!
They don't even share the same surname!
