Chapter 12: Unexpected

It was the official first day of Sabrina's work, and she is getting ready. Everything she needed was in the extra bag she was carrying. She has agreed to tutor Prince at their home.

She will tutor him with a twist because Prince gave her a condition—or should I say rules? Sabrina can't believe that a tutoring class has rules like those of Prince.

The first rule is that her attention was only for him, except for her friends. The second rule is that he will decide when their class will end. The third rule is that she will hang out with him whether she likes it or not. The fourth rule is the most unbelievable because Prince said that she would try to fall in love with him.

The first and second rules were fine, but the third and fourth aren't. Can it be accepted when it comes to a tutoring session? She doesn't have any choice either, and she trusts Prince not to do any bad things to her.

"You're carrying a lot of baggage. What's that for?" Zharia asked her.

"It's for my new job, I think." Zharia just nodded at her.

Danilaey also carried an extra bag with her when they got out of their condo.

"What is that also? You're both carrying too much baggage today." Zharia was just being extra curious that day.

"I brought some extra clothes," Danilaey said.

"For what?" Zharia asked again.

"Uhm. Me and Lyxander will hang out today. A friendly date, I guess."

"All right?" she asked, simply nodding. "But why?"

Both Sabrina and Danilaey looked at her sharply. You couldn't live with Zharia's personality for long. She was very curious, and she wants an immediate answer to her questions.

"I'm just asking. So, I will be alone with myself later." she just said while ignoring their glare at her.

"Aren't you hanging out with Dyren?" Sabrina asked.

"Nope. He will go somewhere important today, so it's a no."

"Is that so? I can cancel my schedule with Lyxander if you don't have anyone with you." Danilaey asked worriedly.

They can't leave Zharia on her own, especially given her condition. Being lonely is bad for her. As friends, they can't let that happen to her. The last time she was alone, her trauma triggered her.

"No! Don't do that! I will be okay on my own. Just go whenever you want to." Zharia knows that it will be hard for her to be alone, but her friends have lives too.

Sabrina wants to reschedule her tutoring class with Prince to be with Zharia, but she hasn't agreed. They are not certain of that situation. Maybe it would be good for her to be alone in being able to fight that thing inside her.

"Okay, but you need to call us if something bad happens." Danilaey said to her, and she just said, 'Yes.'

They are both nervous for Zharia. Their hearts are beating so fast, just like last time. They had staggered the last time they saw Zharia sitting on the corner. They are both afraid that it will happen again, but as Zharia told them, they need to trust her.

Their classroom was quiet when they arrived, and the boys are still not present. Maybe they're late, but it's too early to say that. The girls were reading their textbook when they entered their room. Prince handed Sabrina a folder covered with hard, shiny paper.

"What is this?" she curiously asked.

"Our contract."

"Contract? Do I need to sign this?" She only knows that contract paper is for business purposes only.

"Yes, of course."

She checked the contract he was referring to, and it contained all of the rules he had mentioned. An insane rule is driving her insane too. Her salary was good; it can help her a lot. So, she doesn't have any problem with that except for the fourth rule.

"Can you change the fourth rule? It's giving me a headache." she complained.

"No! No! and Capital N.O." he childishly said to her.

She just glared at him and signed the contract, thinking about the consequences of the work she had done. She's hoping that maybe she will survive that job. She handed the contract paper to him, and he also signed it before he put it in his backpack.

Their class was nearly enough to make their minds explode. There wasn't a single vacant subject that morning. Their class schedule was strict, and it stressed their minds.

"It's time for lunch. My head is hurting, and my mind is going crazy again!" Dyren whined while they were walking through the canteen.

The whole campus was having a problem with them hanging out with the three girls, especially Carina and her friends. But they didn't mind that at all.

"It's not new either. You're already crazy from the very start." Zharia also said to him.

Even though Dyren and Zharia had been dating for a few months, their lives as a cat and a dog had not changed. They're always teasing each other and sometimes hitting each other. Their tandem was great, though.

"The sport fest is coming! Do you have any sports in which you can compete?" Archer asked the three girls.

"Yeah. Me and Sabrina will participate in volleyball while Zharia is in taekwondo." Danilaey said to them.

Well, they're both volleyball players. One of the best volleyball players you can see, Zharia has been a taekwondo athlete since then, and she is good at it too.

"Taekwondo? Same with Jhaderylle. What's your belt?" Lyxander asked

"Black belter. 8th rank." Zharia answered them.

They were astounded that she could achieve that rank in such a small body. Jhaderylle is a black belter also, but he is only a fifth-rank.

"So that is the reason why you have a very heavy hand when it comes to hitting!"

Dyren remembers those times when he was being hit with Zharia, and the strong impact almost broke his arm. His friends just laughed at him. A taekwondo athlete has a very strong punch and kick, especially given that she is an 8th-rank black belt. Poor Dyren Montreal!

"You better not mess up with me or else I will break your arms apart!" Zharia warned him; Dyren just glared at her.

After their lunch, they went back to their classroom and started their classes again. They parted ways when the class ended. Since Lyxander has a car, Danilaey gave the key to her car to Zharia to get her home. They even tell her to call them if something bad happens to her.

Sabrina became concerned when she saw Zharia leave the parking lot.She hopes that Zharia will be okay on her own.

"Are you okay?" Prince asked her worriedly.

Her action was too obvious for him to miss it. She was playing with her hands, and her gaze is always on the road.

"I'm okay. It's just that I'm extremely concerned about Zharia."

Prince was curious about what she said. He can't understand what she's talking about. What is supposed to have happened to Zharia? He wants to ask her, but it's too personal.

They arrived at their house after a minute. It wasn't too far from their condo unit. The house was simple but elegant, filled with plants and ornaments. The parents of Prince weren't there when they arrived.

"Where are your parents?" Sabrina invited him over.

"They're on a business trip."

The maid led her to his study room, which is separate from his bedroom. Sabrina fixed all the things they needed while Prince was changing his school uniform.

When Prince arrived, Sabrina couldn't help but stare. He was only wearing a plain white shirt paired with black trousers. It was ideal for her, especially because of his good posture. Well, what can you expect from a fashion-oriented person?

"You said that the fourth rule is impossible to you, but it seems to me that it is not." Prince was smirking while staring at her.

"In your dreams!" she said. Prince was just chuckling at her.

They started their tutor class, but Prince was not listening at all. Her attention was on Sabrina all the time. He is memorizing every detail on her face. Her pointed and small nose, her tantalizing eyes, her not-so-thick eyebrows and eyelashes, and most importantly, her lips that drowning him little by little every time she opened her mouth to talk.

"Do you understand?"

"N-o! I mean, yes!" He's imagining things on his own.

She just continues what she is reading, even if she knows that Prince is not listening at all. Teaching is not as easy as she had expected. Not a while ago, the maid brought them some food to eat. It was already dinner time.

The food was great! She longs for a home-cooked meal. It reminds her of her mother. Her mother was great at cooking, and all of the food she cooked was her favorite. She wished that she would be able to eat them again.

They continued the lesson they had left, but Prince was still not paying attention. not until her heart suddenly stopped beating. It was bothering her that this could supposedly happen. Prince noticed it, and he grabbed her before she fell. When Sabrina's phone rang, Prince answered it right away. It was Danilaey.

"Hello!" Sabrina answered.

She had an idea of what was happening, but she wished it was wrong. Danilaey was crying on the other line, trying to say something. But she can't clearly understand it.

"Zharia!" "Zharia is..." she hung up.

Sabrina started crying too. It was her mistake. She was blaming herself. It happens again.
