In DC?

What began as a routine spring day quickly spiraled into chaos with the sudden arrival of a freak thunderstorm—one so bizarre that even the most seasoned meteorologists were left baffled. Amidst the downpour, I, in a moment of reckless curiosity, found myself standing on a fourth-floor balcony, pondering something as mundane as a salary increment. But fate had other plans. A series of multicolored lightning bolts struck, enveloping me in their electric embrace and flinging me into an alternate reality. As I regained my bearings, I found myself at the epicenter of a catastrophic explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs—a scene that seemed eerily reminiscent of the fictional world from the TV show The Flash. With the boundaries between fiction and reality blurred, my life took an unexpected turn. Faced with this strange new world, I was thrust into adventures and challenges that I never could have imagined. But what brought me here? And why?

Ch - 30 Guilt?

Although Barry was running at insane speed, his attempt to run backwards ended with him crashing into the temporary cardboard boxes. Felicity, worried for him, looked around and questioned, "Is he alright? And why isn't anyone helping him?"

Caitlin, being Barry's physician, replied, "No need to worry, he is fine. His wounds heal quickly."

As Caitlin finished speaking, Barry stood up, dusted himself off, and looked towards the transparent glass of the monitoring room. Not caring about his current state, he said, "I am starving. Anyone interested in eating at CC Jitters Cafe? They've got some amazing stuff."

Felicity gave an awkward look at Barry's casual demeanor, but since she was also feeling somewhat hungry, she agreed to go with him.

Harrison Wells wasn't interested in going, so he stayed at S.T.A.R. Labs. Cisco didn't go because Harrison Wells wanted to have a conversation with him. As for Swayam and Caitlin, they didn't go because Caitlin had work to do, and Swayam stayed because Caitlin stayed.

While Felicity, Barry, Eddie, and Iris were enjoying their evening, the mood at S.T.A.R. Labs was tense, mainly due to Harrison Wells and Cisco.

Cisco was distressed because the weapons he had manufactured were stolen. Harrison Wells was upset because one of the stolen weapons could stop, defeat, and kill Barry Allen, which he didn't want as it would delay his plan of harnessing Barry's speed force to return to his own time period.

When Cisco informed Harrison Wells about the theft, Wells became angry and questioned him, "How long has it been missing?"

Everyone except Barry and Felicity was in the storage area where Cisco had stored his inventions. While Cisco and Harrison Wells were conversing, Swayam and Caitlin silently observed them.

When Harrison Wells questioned him, Cisco, realizing the potential harm his inventions could cause, stared at the empty spot where his inventions had been. Still, he replied, "I don't know."

Harrison Wells, sitting in his wheelchair, looked at Cisco and asked in an emotionless voice, "I'm gonna ask you again, Cisco. And when I do, I expect a more specific answer than 'I don't know.' Now, how long has this weapon been gone?"

Cisco, uncertain about the exact timing, speculated, "A day. Maybe two. One janitor didn't show up for work this morning. He was probably the one who took it. I didn't think that..." Before Cisco could finish, Harrison Wells slammed the cage door shut.

After slamming it closed, Harrison Wells looked at Cisco with an accusing gaze, "You didn't think. Because if you had, you would've discussed it with me first. Your desire to build something that could hurt anyone, and in particular Barry Allen."

Just as Cisco was about to apologize and explain why he made those things, Swayam, who had been silently listening, couldn't help but speak up, "I think that's enough, Dr. Wells. You can see it on Cisco's face, he is feeling guilty about it. And no, it wasn't made to hurt Barry. Cisco made them to help me improve and break my limits. It was partially thanks to his inventions that my skin adapted to external changes and became invulnerable to almost all types of physical attacks. If you want to blame someone, you can blame me for asking for his help, which led him to make them."

Harrison Wells, surprised by Swayam's involvement, didn't know what to say. Swayam, being an anomaly and a unique existence, had impacted the mentality of the people around him, causing their characters' designated paths to shift towards an unknown direction. Wells could only heave a defeated sigh, "You know how I feel about weapons, Cisco. They do not belong in S.T.A.R. Labs. And Sam, I wouldn't deny you asking for something from any of us, but asking to make dangerous inventions, which although don't affect you, could still hurt, kill, or terrorize normal people. So please make sure to locate this gun." After saying this, Harrison Wells left.

When he left, the trio had differing emotions. Cisco felt guilty, thinking about the potential harm his inventions could cause. Swayam stood silently near Caitlin, contemplating about weither there was such a plot in the show. Caitlin alternated her gaze between Swayam, her lover, and Cisco, her good friend. Eventually, she looked at Cisco and questioned, "This thing you built, what can it do?"

Cisco, feeling guilty, remained quiet for some time before saying, "Bad stuff."
