What happens when a soul gets reincarnated in a world of Danmachi where the protagonist, Bell, doesn't exist, but another cute little rabbit exists with the name Bella? What would happen if the soul got the power of Arthur Leywin from the novel "Beginning After The End" and is adopted by Zeus and becomes Bella's older brother? How will the story change?
Arthur Leywin:
"I don't think this is appropriate for our age Ryuu..." I told her with a deadpan expression while chained to a chair.
"Don't say it like that!" She shouted, turning around so I couldn't see her face, but I saw her ears turning slightly red.
"Well, you did chain me to a chair while I was asleep..."
"It's not my fault you are so overprotective over Bella that you won't let her enter the dungeon alone, even after two weeks. You can't always be there for her."
"I know you're right, but you should also know I can easily break the chains, right?" I asked her raising one eyebrow.
"But you won't do that." She said, the embarrassment gone replaced by a slight smirk.
Curious, I asked her, "And why is that?"
"Because I said so, and I just remembered a story Sylvie told me," She paused for a while, "I think the others will enjoy hearing it."
Wow, to blackmail me... "But why chain me down then?"
She didn't answer me and couldn't look me in the eyes.
"I see, so that's your ki..." I didn't have the chance to finish as I got hit in the face and fell with the chair.
---
In the end, I stayed chained down until Bella returned from the dungeons.
But I have been thinking about runes and how to use them to make artifacts for the past few weeks.
Using runes would open a whole new space for magic. Not only would I be able to use them in combat, but I could also make them create a dimension ring.
Having some time, I looked around Orario. I found a few books about Runes, from the ones found on the Falna to runes used in the past.
Then I also have the runes that appear on me while I use Realmheart. I can use them as a reference, so I locked myself in my apartment, reading through the books and doing multiple tests like having a rune capable of activating fire when imbued with mana.
If I learn how to create runes capable of using Aether, I could make the rings and many other things, maybe even a lower form of a spellform.
Aether consists of three different branches; Vivum (Existence), Aevum (Time), and Spatium (Space).
Spacium is the aether type that controls the existing space. Its power goes from teleportation to folding space to the user's will. Examples could be Teleportation Portals and God Step.
Aevum is the aether type that controls the time of the world. It's also the branch I use for Static Void and is also used in the god rune Aroa's Requiem.
Then the last branch is Vivum, also known as the Aether of existence. This Aether was previously thought to only control life but actually of four types or branches: Life, Death, Creation, and Destruction.
Now there is one small problem... I don't know where to start.
Maybe I could study the Gods and their divinity?
I quickly scarped that thought. Asking gods to act like test subjects wasn't the best idea.
Back to books it is, then...
I continued to study the different runes and compared them to the runes from Realmheart, but this was harder than I expected.
Where are the child-obsessed super genius villainous snakes when you need them?
I sighed... Let's think about it later. Now I should get my new sword.
---
I couldn't hold my excitement as I entered the Married Blades.
"Hello, Mister Shirou." I greeted the old man, who also had an excited expression and a sword placed on the table.
At first glance, it looked like a black rod, but I knew better, having had a few glimpses during the week when he was making the scabbard.
"You're finally here, brat. Took you long enough to arrive." He said, picking up the sword before giving it to me.
I looked at it briefly before taking it out of the scabbard.
The blade slid out easily, revealing an almost transparent crystal-like narrow blade that was thin like a rapier with a double edge curved smoothly into a sharp tip.
"What are you waiting for? Do your magic voodoo and see if it works. I used my best marble as a catalyst for it." He said he was getting impatient.
"Marble?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"You think normal metal would work for a sword of this quality?" He scoffed, "It shows you don't know anything about swords."
"Now, don't ask questions, and do the magic voodoo." He said, annoyed.
Taking in a deep breath, I hoped the blade wouldn't break when I infused it with all the basic elements.
Well, let's do it.
"..."
"Why are you not doing anything?"
"I won't need to pay for it if it breaks, right?" I asked
"Just do it, and don't waste my time, brat!" He shouted and hit me with a fan that he got from somewhere.
Sigh... No going back now.
I started channeling Fire, Wind, Earth, and Water mana through the blade. It started changing from being transparent to having four different colors circling inside it, giving a slight glow similar to the moon.
I smiled. It was stable.
The other sword I used until now started breaking down after infusing them with more than one element, and even using one element shortened the lifespan of the swords.
"Thank you, Mister Shirou, it's perfect." I thanked the old man and sheeted the sword again.
"Of course, it is. I made it." He said, looking proud and excited.
"Did you decide on a name for it?" I asked him.
"Moon's Embrace"
