Chapter 126 - Rossley Woods

Third person POV

 Later on, before 9 o'clock, Russell and his friends arrived at the royal palace, where Nicholas, Adrian, and Taryn, alongside 3 attendants and 7 palace guards were waiting for them. After he had opened the door, Russell looked at them. "Hello there, good morning, we're here."

 "Good morning, Russell-kun!" Adrian greeted him happily.

 "Good morning, Russell May," Nicholas said to Russell, before gesturing to his 10-people entourage to load their camping equipment into the bus.

Russell then got off to help out with the loading while Nicholas, Adrian, Taryn, and most of the entourage boarded the bus.

The young bus driver loaded and stowed most of the camping stuff into his bus's baggage compartments, before boarding the bus and sitting down on his driver's seat.

 Once the last of the entourage had boarded the bus, Russell closed the door and left the palace complex. Along the way, he used his bus's navigation system to find the Rossley Woods, which is one of the capital's places of green and nature, after Nicholas and Adrian had revealed to them what place where they will be camping out for a few days. And so, Russell did so, and all of them arrived at that place, which was just 2 kilometers northeast of the capital within the Central Administrative Territory's forest part. There Russell pulled over and opened the door. "Okay, we're here, everyone." The young Renad then opened the door and turned off his bus's engine.

 As Russell stood up and grabbed his knapsack and scabbard, everyone on board grabbed their belongings and stood up, before all of them got off to get the rest of their stuff and belongings in the bus's baggage compartments. After all that, the group settled down on the green grass surrounded by trees. The attendants and some of the palace guards set up their tents, while Russell, Adrian, James, John, and the dragon family prepared and unpacked the food for the trip, as well as set up the campfire for it. Nicholas and Taryn, meanwhile, are scouring the surrounding area for any animal to hunt for extra food since for them, hunting during a camping trip is more exciting than one without it. In just 1 hour, their campsite was now ready so all of them would settle down and enjoy the nature around them.

 Later on, James, who had heard about Adrian from Russell, introduced himself to Adrian, Nicholas, and Taryn. "Nice to meet you, James," Adrian replied back. "I'm Adrian Paulton-Passato. The Passato part indicated that I was adopted by Nicholas and Father."

 "Ah, now I see…" replied James with respect and understanding.

 "Yes, Adrian has been adopted by me and my father for 5 years now," Nicholas nicely and formally replied back.

 Meanwhile, the dragon family is running around the nearby forest for fun, while Taryn is training her Beast Tamer ability. Russell was training his skills using his sword and one of his bus's windshield wipers. By this time, he trained his fighting skills with his simple wiper since it was smaller, more flexible, and had a sharp, but safe and dull, part of its metal side. But Russell balances his training with his precious sword, too. And then, Taryn noticed that and went to him. "Hey, are you training with that thing instead of your own sword?"

Russell heard that and looked at her. "Oh, hi there. Yes, I am."

 "That was really unconventional, wasn't it?" Taryn asked while placing both of her hands behind her back.

 "Yes, it was, but for me, it was quite radical and practical."

At this hour, James stood up and went to a nearby spot to train his water magic.

 Later at lunchtime, everyone gathered at the campsite to eat a nice, delicious meal for lunch. The food consisted of roasted mutton, some types of cheeses, whole wheat bread, some mashed potatoes, and green salads. John was eating his bread and liver meal in a silver bowl. All of them are having a good time and interact with one another regardless of social and profession class. James had gotten along with Adrian, Nicholas, and Taryn and even demonstrated his Printer ability to them. That ability can also be used without a printer, but it has limitations in that setup and mode: the user may only print 1 sheet at a time, compared with the one with a printer, which can print multiple sheets in one go.

 At the same time, Azalea and Nathan had arrived at Russell's home, only to see a note nailed on the front door. So, both of them decided to search for them in Rossley, aborting their rest time for now. Also, Aren and the Elai party are now camping in the Rossley Woods out of sight from Russell and his group. Neither of the camps noticed each other. But danger towards Russell was just hours away.
