Chapter 11: The tale of Umbran and The Order of Illuminated Dawn (1)

In the shadowy realm of Erebos, a sinister religion thrived, devoted to the enigmatic deity known as Morpheus, the Bringer of Nightmares. Its followers, known as the Umbran, worshipped Morpheus in the Church of the Black Moon, a vast gothic cathedral built from obsidian, adorned with grotesque gargoyles and illuminated by the flickering glow of black candles.

The Church was governed by the Council of Shadows, a secretive cabal of high-ranking priests and priestesses who maintained order and dictated the dogma. At the heart of the Church's hierarchy was the Nightfall Pontiff, a figure of immense power and authority, feared and revered by all Umbran.

The Umbran wielded a dark and ancient magic known as Tenebromancy, drawing their powers from the very essence of nightmares. Through intricate rituals and blood sacrifices, they harnessed the dark energy to bend reality to their will, summoning nightmarish creatures and casting curses on their enemies.
