Chapter 1

In a clearing surrounded by trees laid a young man in robes, the young man was stirring awake, his eyes fluttering, they later opened widely a few seconds later, he sat up and tried to gain control of his breathing for a couple of minutes before it finally became uniform. He stood up and spied at the unfamiliar surroundings, he opened his mouth and said

"What's going on here, Where the f*** am I!"

[Flashback]

Tian Long was an ordinary man, with an almost ordinary life, I say almost ordinary because of his godly luck, and everyone who knew him would say this without exception, even his parents, infact his luck was so godly that he had be kicked or banned from many Casino's around the world even after the games had been rigged , Long was on his way home after getting kicked out of a Casino again, with his winnings of 5 million Yuan, it was the middle of the night and Long was clad in all black, on the same street Long was crossing a large truck the driver was looking dreamily out the window, looking to the skies was speeding down with its headlights off but neither the driver nor Tian noticed the other, the driver finally focused on the road ahead and abruptly hit the brakes, the front end of the truck was just centimeters from Tian's body which was bent down to tie a lose lace, you may be wondering did the driver see Long at the last moment that's why he stopped... wrong, its just that the driver saw the light turned red, yes this driver is one of the rare few that would obey traffic laws on the empty streets in the middle of the night. Long continued to move on as if nothing happened, because to him nothing really did happen, just as he was about move out of the area before the truck, a fissure appeared before him as if something or someone had forcefully teared through space a hand appeared out of the crack and grabbed Long by his face pulling him into the crack.

[Flashback End]

As Tian was contemplating how he got to where he was he heard a voice in his head

{Hello}

Long looked around only to finding that there was no one around, he began to question his sanity until he heard the same voice again.

{Hello! Can you hear me host}

Long decided to take a chance and replied to the dismembered voice

"I am here. Now tell me where I am and who or what you are"

{No worries host I'll explain everything}  {You can call me Deity Luck System or D.L.S}  {You are currently in a cultivation world}  {You are here because the previous God of Good Luck was killed in a battle against the God of Bad  Luck, so to restore the balance you have been chosen to supersede him. Since if you were allowed  to stay in your previous world you would have never Ascended to Godhood, the council of gods  decided to bring you to this world so you can get stronger}

Council of What.... Ascend to Godhood. This is the kind of stuff you would normally see in Cultivation novels.

STATUS: It shows your Cultivation Level, Health, Strength , Current status condition, Luck Stat.... etc.

Lottery: Basically its a gacha that you can spin on a bi-weekly basis to help you progress to Godhood. Items can be weapons or Cultivation items or certain perks

Inventory: Its an unlimited personal storage space where you can keep non- living items

Missions: You can participate in missions to get rewards} 

"Show me my status"

As he looked at the numbers that were shown before him he couldn't help but detest his weakness

"System why am I so weak"

Deciding to follow the systems instructions Long started to look for an exit from the forest that alone took several hours as he did not have any supernatural techniques yet, when he had finally gotten out he had seen quite a large city in the distance and started to walk towards it, he had just reached the entrance of the city when he was stopped by guards with imposing auras that was felt by everyone around the entrance. They had asked me some rather simple questions which I just answered with lies.

Once I had gotten through the gates, I started to go around the city to look find a place to stay but I just realized that I had no money, but thank the gods the system saved my behind

Seeing the rewards I was elated, and quickly found an inn that I would stay at temporarily until I gained a house in the city.

Its been about 4 months since I got to the city called Gaoling and I already bought a house, most of the time I spent was at home trying, I would occasionally go out to do some odd jobs or to the casino's for cash. I also learnt a few things about my Luck stat during these months and I also span the ticket and what I had gotten truly shook me to my core.

[Flashback]

I had just finished one of my training sections and looked at my stat screen that I asked

"So system what does my Luck stat do"

{Luck would affect the lucky encounters you would receive. An example can be, when you're fighting against a higher level being if you have a high luck stat, the more likely they are to make a mistake or make you kill them}  {Host I advice that you open the legendary ticket. It has been sitting in the inventory for quite some time now}

"Okay open it" I said

A slot started to spin for a couple of seconds until it landed on a perk that read out. 'Heavens child' confused by what it meant I consulted the system

{Host you are truly lucky. This perk means that when its time for you to reach certain levels your Heavenly retaliation would not be so great but you still get the full benefits a plus is that the heavens also protect you like you're its child, so long as you not wish for the person to die heaven will follow your decision} 

And since that day I put all of my status points into Luck
