" New Friends "

Little Arthur and Vanita woke up and were given yogurts and bananas.

After which, they disappeared into his playroom.

Arthur and Sean organized the living room while the other two washed the dishes. Soon the grown-ups shamelessly joined the young ones in their play.

They played house with Vanita who tied each of their hair into short ponytails and painting their nails and faces.

"Am sorry but if you have a daughter you will always face this " Samuel apologized.

"I think I will stick to having a son," Arthur said.

After their fun with Vanita, little Arthur forced them to assemble his blocks and play with his toy cars.

"Why would you buy him such huge and many toy cars?" Sean asked Arthur as they squeezed themselves into the toy cars.

"He wanted them so I did "

Their body aches as they left little Arthur's room. It was getting late but there was no sign of Rose and Irene's return.

"I guess we are making dinner too," Arthur told the others.

Justin kept the kids' company as they watched cartoons while Arthur and the rest prepared dinner.

Samuel was amazingly good in the kitchen, Sean who was done washing the ingredients let the two good cooks do there work. Arthur not realizing it enjoyed his time with Samuel during cooking.

They all finally sat down, Samuel first feeding his daughter and Justin helping little Arthur. It was lively as they cracked jokes and enjoyed each other's company.

Being full little Arthur went to sleep after his bath. Vanita fell asleep in her father's arms.

"Don't bother waking her up, just let her sleep in one of the guest rooms " Arthur told Samuel.

"I won't want to intrude, " Samuel said.

But Arthur insisted telling him to stay for the night if it was possible.

Sean was more than surprised but was proud of his friend's change in behavior.

Samuel eventually accepted taking his daughter in one of the guest rooms.

"Can I stay too?" Justin asked.

The room was quiet for a while as they all looked at Arthur, waiting for his reply.

"You're my brother in law, after all, you can stay," he said.

Justin thanked him as he jumped up and down like a kid. After putting the kids to bed they made a fire and sat outside on the terrace as they watched the snow.

"I can't believe am spending my holiday with my brother-in-law and his friends " Justin let out.

"Am happy am spending it with my best friend, his new brother-in-law and new friend " Sean said.

"Am just happy you invited me here " Samuel said.

"And am happy it started with inviting Rose into my life," Arthur said.

"Oh come, Arthur really " Sean complained.

"What?"

"I was here even before she came into your life," he said.

Arthur grinned but didn't say anything more.

They stared at the dark sky as they enjoyed glasses of wine.

"Little Arthur kissed Vanita while they were playing, " Justin told the others

"What? ..." Arthur barked.

Sean grinned and looked at Arthur's angry face.

"How did my son learn to do such a thing?" he asked.

"It's so obvious, from you guys. Always kissing and hugging each other " Sean pointed out.

"I think so too," Justin said

"Maybe your son likes my daughter?" Samuel said too.

"No, he doesn't, they are just friends," Arthur said.

Sean was laughing now.

"And how do you know that he already marked his territory with a kiss," Sean said.

Justin and Samuel agreed too.

"I would be happy and glad if I became your in-law," Samuel said.

Arthur dropped his glass of wine.

Samuel and Justin were shocked but Sean was laughing so hard his eyes had tears.

Rose and Irene came back late in the night, Irene headed to her room she shared with Sean. Rose went up the stairs to her son's room.

He was sleeping soundly so she headed to her room.

Arthur who looked tired was laying on the bed deep in slumber.

His face still had the makeup done by Vanita and his hair still tied.

Rose secretly took a picture and then took then out. Cleaned his face with a warm wet towel then covered him up.

She took a shower then joined him in bed. He smelt her scent and pulled her closer into his embrace.

Have awake he said, " I missed you the whole day "

"I missed you too," she said.

"My day was crazy and fun," he told her.

Rose smiled, " Am glad you had fun "

"Your twin brother stayed for the night and so did Samuel and his daughter "

Surprised Rose raised her head and looked down at Arthur.

"I know it's shocking but his your brother and Samuel is now a friend so is his daughter," Arthur said without opening his eyes.

Rose pecked his lips and laid back down next to him.

"Am proud of you love, goodnight " she whispered.
