Suddenly, a car crashed through the side of the building, and my men opened fire on the driver. A moment later, I held my hand up to stop them, realizing there wasn’t a driver. I flung open the door, and a knife had been plunged into the accelerator with a note that read, “I’m coming for you next.”

There was a gaping hole in the front of the restaurant, and flames rose from the car, licking eagerly along the shattered, fallen timbers… remnants of what was left of the dining room.

“Did you get everyone out?” I shot a look at Marshall as he rushed into the dining room.

“Yes, but barely.” He took a deep breath, shaking his head, never taking his eyes off the car. “We have to get out of here.”

Marshall was right—we had minutes to evacuate before the fire spread and the place exploded.

“I’m going to kill him!” Seven’s fists were doubled at his sides as he marched toward the gaping hole in the side of his restaurant but stopped short when I placed my hand on his chest.
