“Where’re you going?” Marshall stopped me at the door as Seven and I were leaving.
“Out,” I threw over my shoulder. I had already spoken with the chef on duty and had ordered Lycia a big lunch. I just hoped and prayed the baby made it. If Lycia loses the baby, we'll both be devastated. But I intend to ensure that doesn’t happen.
“I’m coming with you.” My brother always had my back, no matter what, and was used to attending to business with me. When I went out on business, Marshall was always by my side.
“Suit yourself.”
Seven gave me a stern look, but I ignored him. Although we had to keep this quiet, I trusted Marshall with my life... and had, more than once.
