"Why is she or he not present at this time? Or does someone have a problem with time?" Elaine lifted her face up and gave Jace an angry look.

This look sent shivers through Jace. He knew the new boss was not here to play. She meant business, and she would not entertain spoilers messing up her plans. He honestly spoke the truth.

"To be honest, my lady. Your secretary has been acting out since she visited the previous owner's region. She was obviously showing she wanted out of anything called the Saphila South Region." Jace completely excused himself from the trouble he smelled.

"OH! When was her last visit?

"After you purchased the region..."

"Oh? According to the Blue Planet laws, she is my subordinate and can leave officially if I have approved such a leave, right?"

"Yes, my lady." Jace honestly replied.

"See to it that her heart desires are granted. I will not work with those whose hearts lie elsewhere." Elaine gave her verdict. Jace was struck by her decisive approach. He could see a storm descending on Saphila. Would such a storm be the weather for Saphila to progress? Only time could tell.
