Chapter 10

"First Sue, then Storm and now this plant gal. Damn Pete, you're becoming quite the ladies man." Robbie joked and received an elbow to the ribs from Illyana, it was an hour after Peter arrived at the Abbey with Pam hugging his arm. They took a little longer to get there because halfway Pam and Peter had glanced at each other at the same time, and, just like with Ororo, Peter found himself drawn to the green skin woman now soul bound to him. He remembered turning to Pam with the arm she had been holding slipping under hers and wrap around her waist as Peter pulled her against him, she was about half a head shorter then Peter so Pam had to stand up on her toes as she folded her arms around his neck and their lips met. The kiss passionate fast and Peter found himself pushing Pam up against the trunk of a tree in order to deepen the kiss, which Pam tried to do as well as she pulled Peter's head closer to hers while lifting one of her long legs up to wrap around his waist to pull his lower body close. As they kissed Peter sensed and heard the branches of the tree move as if they were forming a shelter around him and Pam, who he wanted to strip clean of her armor and clothes and feel the warmth smooth green flesh underneath. But fortunately Peter managed to regain his sense of reason as he pulled away for air, "Sorry, Pam. I didn't mean to." Pam had a dreamy look on her face for a moment before she came to her senses "Oh, it's alright Peter. I guess it comes with this new bond we have, where we will be drawn together and all that. So no need to apologize, in fact I quite honestly like kissing you, you're quite a good kisser Pete."

Her words were said so seductively that Peter couldn't help but swoop back in to capture Pam's mouth in another round of kissing, with his tongue dominating hers and his hands squeezing Pam's ass before managing to regain himself again as he caught his breath. "An amazing kisser." Pam rephrased her last words "Thanks." Peter said and, with much willpower to do so, he managed pulled away from Pam. Who groan at the lost and quickly moved to grab his arm, stand up on tiptoes and kissing Peter's cheek as she whispered "When we get a proper time alone, I'll show you all the wonderful nature of this body. It's yours to use when and wherever you wish." Peter tried to pretend that he didn't heard her, but the blush in his cheeks gave him away and Pam giggle as she gave another kiss closer to his lips and wink, then laid her head on Peter's shoulder as they continued to the Abbey and, though looking like an oddly dressed couple taking a stroll, acted as if nothing had stopped them. Peter still had the exotic thoughts for Pam that was strong as the loving nature feeling that once more filled Peter's mind when her lips touched his. So Robbie comment went over his head, though he would remember it along with the cautionary and distrusting stares on Mary Jane, Sue and Ororo's faces. But once the story was properly explained the ladies expressions lightened up, "So a Hiereiai of Demeter?" Ororo asked and Pam nodded "Yes, and judging by your appearance I can assume correctly that you are an Amazon?" Ororo nodded "I am." She frowned at the frown appearing on Pam's face "Then I'm quite surprise you are associating with men, given the murderous nature of your kind towards them."

This brought more frowns to many people faces and Wanda asked "What is she talking about?" Pam raised an eyebrow "The Amazon are group of warrior women, some of the best in Greece. However they have a hatred towards men and done some horrible deeds, such as when they wish to reproduce the women leave their island of Themyscira and board other ships to have sex with the men." Robbie started to say "That's doesn't sound too bad…" Then Pam continued "And once they are done, the Amazons kill every man on board, but not before cutting off their 'tools' for a twisted reason and tossing the bodies overboard to the sharks." All the guys flinched and they looked at Ororo, who looked now uncomfortable and Peter had a feeling that someone was going to ask if she had done anything like that. That when through his bond to her Peter immediately knew that Ororo hadn't, "She didn't do it." Peter said and everyone looked confused at him as he let the memories that he saw fill his mind eye as he spoke. "Ororo did not take part in any murder of any man while she was with the Amazons, she would stay behind every time and prayed to the gods to guide the souls of the murdered men peacefully to the Underworld."

Ororo felt her heart swelled again to Peter, somehow knowing that he would defend her from any harassment, she so wanted to go kiss him but managed to hold back since it would be weird to do it in front of the others. Who looked sheepishly down and grim at having any doubts about their white hair friend, while the green skin Greek looked ashamed "I'm sorry…" She said "I shouldn't have made any fast judgment." Ororo nodded and held out her hand that Pam took in taking with the peace offer that was offered, "You're forgiven, you had the right to assume since the Amazons do have that prejudice against men." Pam smiled slyly "But not you, and I have a feeling I know why." She whispered the last part and Ororo blushed as she chanced a glance at the Spider-Man to which she and this new woman were connected to.

Caretaker was concerned about Pam's story about a mysterious figure coming to the infirmary, who must've been a powerful one in order to come and go without being detected. But before Caretaker could begin to look into it another Typhon attack happened and Steve assigned Peter with Goliath, She-Hulk, Hercules, Ororo and Pam, who was looking for some payback, to deal with a huge Cyclops and a group of Minotaurs that was terrorizing downtown New York. Mary Jane and Sue were on another team and kissed Peter and telling Ororo and Pam to watch his back before they left. "Spider-Man, you're with and my second on the mission." Cap said and Peter nodded in understanding Steve words were so that Jennifer couldn't do a pull rank maneuver while not at the Abby and the green skin woman mentioned it as they headed for the limbo gate. "When will you trust me again?" Peter look At Jennifer. "You're here and are willing to fight with us against a real enemy, despite your misguided loyalty to Stark you are coming on this mission instead of waiting in a cell in the Abby's dungeon. What makes you think we don't trust you Jen?"

They entered the portal walking through Limbo to appeared on a rooftop in Midtown Manhattan, Pam, or going by code name of Ivy because of her nature powers and since her last name rhymed with it, looked opened mouth at the city. "Welcome to New York." Peter told her just before the roof shook from an impact and running over to the edge saw once more chaos caused by both Hydra and Greek warriors. But there was also half men half bull like beings plowing through cars with their horns, while the huge one eye Cyclop was throwing anything it could reach from vehicles to people. Who were in danger of falling from buildings or being in their cars as they were thrown. "Spider-Man, Storm, Ivy!" Steve said. "You three will help the people flying through the air. Goliath handle with bright eye over there, Hercules and She-Hulk, you deal with the bull heads, while I deal with the ground troops." They all nodded and moved into action. Peter using his webs to stop the flying cars, while Ororo used her control over the winds to catch the cars and lower them to the ground. Ivy summoned medium size plant vines from the ground to grab the flying people before they could hit the buildings or street. Hercules and She-Hulk were grabbing the minotaurs by their horns, which with some they would break off and stab their owners with making them explode in red dust while in Cap case he simply beat the Hydra thugs into the ground with fists or shield.

Goliath grappled with the Cyclops, who appeared to be of equal strength and semi intelligent as it threw punches at parts of Goliath's body. "We need to find the crystal empowering these guys." Peter said from the top of a lamppost. "Then take Storm and Ivy to find-." Steve started to say when Peter's Spider Sense flared as lightning crackled from above. "Everyone Move!" Peter yelled as from the sky slammed into the ground and sent lightning exploding outward striking everything nearby. Buildings sides blew apart, cars exploded and the heroes were barley able to dodge or block the lighting from hitting them. "By the gods!" Ivy said astonished as a familiar form, at least to the modern heroes, became cleared in the lightning. "Thor?" Peter called surprised to see the blonde haired Asgardian, holding his mighty hammer in his hand. "Man, it good to see… Oh Crap!" Peter's spider sense flared up as Thor lifted his hammer and fired a bolt of lightning at him, which Peter barely managed to dodge and had to jump rapidly from place to place as more bolts were thrown. "Thor! What The Hell Are You Doing?!" Steve shouted "You're traitors to the Registration and must pay the price! Especially Spider-Man!" Thor roared as he continued to go after Peter, "My mission is to make the traitors pay from breaking the law, as is the right thing to do." The way he said those words seemed off to Peter, along with his whole attack that was still being directed at him. Then at one point Thor threw his hammer and as Peter dodge it, he decided, though not sure what compelled him to do so, to grab the weapon as it passed. To his surprise Peter found himself holding Mjolnir and it wasn't becoming heavy, at once Peter knew. 'This isn't the real Thor!' He thought as he, with all his strength, threw the hammer back at its owner and it hit the Thor in the chest and sent him into a building. "That's not Thor!" Peter called to the others, who were still fighting Typhon forces and Spider-Man was about to join them when the fake Thor came bursting out of the building looking furious.

Who flew again at Peter until She-Hulk got in between him and the Thor "Stand down, Thor!" Jennifer ordered "These unregistered heroes are not-." She didn't finish because the Thor started to attack her and was beating into her with such force on the first blow that her left arm broke. "NO!" Peter cried but didn't have time to come to Jennifer aid since he got attacked by more Greek Warriors. With She-Hulk down, the members of the Resistance were being forced back "We need an exit!" Said Peter into his com link as he kick a Hydra thug in the face. Hercules was now wrestling with the fake Thor, while Ororo blasting enemies away from Ivy helping Steve out of the rumble of a building that a minotaur had thrown him into looking in bad shape. Fortunately Shield Agents arrived and attempted to deal with the Typhon forces, but unfortunately were mostly getting toss around. Then Peter spotted the red crystal that was summoning the forces from a rift that looked like it went into Tartarus, Hercules spotted it as well and saw an opportunity to take at least one threat off the field. "Get out of here!" Hercules roared as he tackled the Thor into the crystal, breaking it but before the explosion threw both Hercules and the fake Thor into the rift. "Hercules!" Peter yelled, but it was too late as the rift closed and the remaining Typhon enemies turned to red dust.

For a moment there was no sound but the burning fires and water gushing from broken hydrates, then there came a groan from She-Hulk and Peter and Ororo hurriedly over to check on her to see her in a green bloody mess. "Caretaker. We need a portal home, pronto." Peter contacted the Abbey as he and Ororo started to lift Jennifer to her feet, when one of the Shield Agents spoke "Wait!" Peter looked at the woman "Oh don't you try to say that we are under arrest, because we are not in the mood to fight against you." The Agent shook her head "No, I want to request that we come with you." "And why that?" Steve asked as he came over "Because Captain, we didn't know that Director Hill had tried to arrest you before the Act became legal and frankly with all that have happened since. The Web Warriors identities being unlawfully revealed and now Thor going off script, he was supposed to assist in the fight against the monsters not try and kill you. This is not what Shield is and so me and my team are choosing to leave and join you in your fight for freedom, if you will have us Captain." Steve looked into the Shield Agents eyes and must've seen the truth in their words because he nodded "Welcome to the Resistance." And with Goliath picking up the Greek demigod that had been in the crystal, the heroes returned to the Abbey happy with the victory and new recruits, yet sad and worry about the member who was lost.
