Clean Up

The dining time came to an end, and you could be sure that Dalvin spent every single second eating. His metabolism was too high for common sense to easily discern right now, especially since the food he was eating was rich in spirit energy but average in blood energy and nutrients.

Because of this, he could consume freely without actually filling himself up. Even as he got up to leave quickly, he was only about 70% full, but the allotted time for eating was over and he did not dare take another bite lest he fall victim to the anomaly here.

The old woman seemed to want to ask him to stay so that she could see how he survived the eventual spiritual energy explosion that would happen in his body, but Dalvin resolutely blinked out of the dining area after standing up.

Using about 50% of his bloodline energy in a quick moment, he returned to his cell area that was filled with the goods he brought. Seeing no need to wait for the eventual explosion since it would likely be resolved by his debt collector called the system, Dalvin began to clean up the cell itself.

The cell itself was quite large, being around 500 square meters. Its flooring was made of hard stone while the walls were some form of concrete that was of a dark grey color. The first thing in cleansing this yard was to deal with the copious amounts of rotten hay that covered the floor.

Dalvin put on gloves and began gathering them up until they formed a heap in one corner. Then he simply held the hay and blinked into the cell opposite his own, tossing it on the floor there before coming back around two more times to clear the whole batch.

Now that the entirety of the floor was revealed, Dalvin could see that it was only covered with a light layer of muck. Surprisingly, the construction was well done and there was even a smoothness to it that made the floor completely viable as a sleeping place.

Well, Dalvin popped out the scrubbing brush and got some detergent as well. He had bought more than a few cartons of water, and even though it was wasteful to use perfectly fine drinking water for cleaning, he had no choice.

He got to his knees and began scrubbing hard as well as strong, clearing up the muck on the floor while humming a tune to himself, one that was from a relatively popular anime song recently.

In a matter of minutes, he easily cleared the entire cell and did not feel any fatigue. With a smile, he took a bundle of rag cloths and began wiping the floor gently and carefully, making sure to dry it rather quickly.

After doing this, he glanced at the wooden bed he was supposed to sleep in, which was currently holding all the items he brought so they wouldn't touch the floor, and shook his head. He walked over to the pile of things he brought over and opened a box that contained carpets and duvets.

He skillfully laid the floor with some basic carpets that were sold cheap and would at least give his feet some comfort when walking within his cell. Of course, he left out the area with the bed because he had not thoroughly cleaned that side yet.

After doing everywhere else basically, Dalvin then returned to the bed and took all his things down, setting them up one by one. The mini generator went to the leftmost corner and was powered on, with his phone and second-hand laptop connected to it to charge for now.

The rest were placed where they should be, leaving the bed free for cleaning. Dalvin first cleaned the frame of the bed and washed off all the dust and much on it before checking the slats for any weakness.

Surprisingly, the frame was still good, it was just dirty. Dalvin reasoned that this must be some special cultivator's wood that had grown for ten thousand years, so unlike normal wood, it wouldn't rot so easily.

This made things much simpler as he placed the sleeping bag atop the slats and secured it well. Looking around, Dalvin inspected the renewed cell, which, minus the iron bars, now looked more like a minimalistic male room rather than a prison.

"I should probably buy a foldable chair and a table too," Dalvin muttered to himself as he looked at his phone and laptop, which were placed on the floor.

Suddenly, his face changed as sweat broke out on his forehead and he slumped to the ground in pain, twitching furiously. The spirit energy feedback had finally occurred, and he was going through the same fatalistic situation as before.

However, he suddenly felt like he was being emptied, like someone had plucked a straw into his body and sucked out all his energy.

Dalvin wiped his forehead and panted slightly. His high motivation and energy were thoroughly sapped by this experience, and he wanted nothing more than to lie down and do nothing.

Luckily for him, he had done the cleaning beforehand. So he simply moved himself onto his sleeping bag and picked up his phone, initially scrolling through some saved videos and images before feeling sleepy then nodding off.

When Dalvin woke up, it was around 5.30 pm. He rubbed his eyes and opened a bottle of water to rehydrate himself before stretching his body. Hearing the cracks and creaks, he felt energized and satisfied, his blood energy moving vigorously through his body.

"Well, time to practice," Dalvin murmured with a smile, opening his cheap steroids and looking at the dosage which said only 1 pill per day. For now, he decided to be obedient and popped a single pill with some water and waited for 15 minutes.

After that, he walked up to the regular wall used for training and entered the horse stance with a certain familiar ease. His first punch thrown was already at maximum power with none of the hesitation he used to have when hitting such a hard surface at full power.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Dalvin was going all out and naturally, the results were obvious. He felt his blood energy begin to galvanize as usual, but he almost faltered when he felt a strange surge of near-perverted heat flow through his body.

Dalvin said perverted because… a lot of his blood went down to the wrong place at the moment, creating a tent in his shorts. However, the results stunned him as his blood flowed like a tide, almost about 70% as strong as when he used a xueqi pill!

Excited, he continued to practice, eventually ending his session around 3 minutes later.

'Not only has my practice time become shorter because of my breakthrough, but I feel far more in control,' Dalvin thought to himself with satisfaction at his progress.

However, he had completely exhausted the energy from the steroid pill and would not gain any results if he continued. Instead, Dalvin made the obvious choice to open up his system display and check how much progress using a single steroid pill made.
