The reason he laughed was because he realized that he had been putting them in so much pressure. He had released the power of a late stage Salvia Plane elementalist.
He then felt a pang of guilt when he remembered he thought that they were overreacting. He realized some few things here.
He could even extend his perception through the walls and know how many people were in the room. It was only that it did not raise his hearing but the Soul was something he was going to have fun learning how to use.
The first way he was going to use it was by rescuing Aurora. The fact that he had been given a time limit meant that there was a chance that the words they had been saying about killing her were true.
Maybe in the past one week he had been asleep they had finished their purpese and were probably going to get rid of her. He also knew that the system could track his followers.
This was why he was in ease despite the ticking clock. What he did not know was the distance between. That fact alone made him want to get up and leave to find her immediately.
He had spent almost 3 hours locked up and he was still wasting more. Wherever this confidence was coming from was unkown to him.
He was also very excited about the elements he had awakened. The fact that he had awakened four elements in the First Grade was something to be proud of.
What was limiting him though was his cultivation. He wanted nothing more than get stronger. He did not even that great urge to awaken any other element at the moment because he wanted before he could awaken any other element, he was well versed with the four he had.
The fact that he had awakened both lightning and wind before and he did not know a single wind technique was a shame. Well the reward for this mission was going to be a speed technique.
"Sarah, what do you plan of leaving me after you disappear?" He asked trying as hard as he could not to sound like he was waiting for her to disappear.
> Well the reward is supposed to be a surprise.
With that he closed that topic and decided to head out. He was hungry to begin with. Since he had woken up, he had eaten nothing. He suddenly realized something.
"Sarah, is there a way for me to seal my Soul Power on my own?" He asked. He could not go flexing this new found power or he would end up in trouble.
>The method you can use is the same as sealing your energy cultivation. But with your current strength, you can only afford to seal either your energy cultivation or Soul.
My advise is that the latter. You should also start trying to seal it on your own now. Practice before I have to leave you.
Alaric could feel the remorse in her voice. It felt like she was human conciousness he had put into the system to watch over him. He could not help but ask though.
"Who were you to me?"
> I would never break a promise and tell you something that I promised not to say. It is better you one day find out on your own. But you were our saviour.
She did not speak again after that. He just asked her to unseal his cultivation. She obliged and he had the same relieved feeling. It seemed like it always put pressure on him though minimal.
He let it free for some few minutes before he sealed his Soul Power. He released his energy cultivation and he somehow felt that he could seal the Soul power without it causing so much pressure on him.
He remembered that that girl had said it was a strange power and he could not refute her. Sarah spoke without him askin again.
>Also don't use your soul to attack carelessly. Damage of your Soul can lead to many setbacks and even death. With the loss of the Soul, pills to help recover the soul were forgotten. Even their preparations methods were forgotten.
The Soul is usually the requirement for one to make a pill with 100% purity. Its better you refrain from using the soul to attack those who are overly powerful than you.
Alaric nodded and he stepped down from the bed. He went outside the doors and then the stairs. He saw the girl seated on a coach alone and he saw the other two were 'fully occupied'.
He did not miss their complicated gazes when they saw him appear. He at first did not know why they were looking at him that way but it occured to him that he had released his Soul Power for few minutes.
He laughed in the inside and went to the coach the girl was sitting. She had her legs on the coach. He went to her and when she saw him approach her, she sat straight and let him sit next to her.
Alaric did not miss their complicated gazes again. He picked the book she had been reading which she had placed between them. He opened the first page and closed the book instantly.
What he hated most was reading. He would rather have knowledge served to him on a plate. The girl giggled at his action and he drew closer to her ear and whispered something to her.
She still had the veil and no one saw her smile. But Alaric was very pleased with perception. With perception, he knew that she smiled. He drew away from her ear which had turned red under his breath.
She kept a calm look on her eyes ignoring all the stares they received. Alaric reacted as if he had done nothing. The girl finally stood up and he followed after her.
They had all been talking before Alaric appeared. Ezra had an ugly look on his handsome face. She usually laughed once per week or sometimes never. But they had all seen her giggle under his small action like opening the book and closing it.
Then he told her something and she agreed. They all did not know what to think when they saw her stand up. She usually took orders from no one. Actually she was the orders giver.
Seeing both stand, Ezra stood up too.
"What did you say your name was again?" Ezra asked. Alaric paused and even the girl stopped and looked at him ready to hear his answer. She had not found an appropriate time to ask his name 'yet' but Ezra had taken away her burden.
"Sorry for the late introductions. My name is Alaric. Alaric Millicenta," he said and pretended to bow respectfully. Everyone looked up at him and all had a complex look in their eyes. He saw their eyes dart from one person to another.
He did not miss the sight murderous gaze he received from Ezra.
"Anyone who dares leak this information will have to risk dying by my blade. Especially you Ezra," she said with a murderous look towards Ezra.
Saying this, she took Alaric's hand and pulled him out to the door. She slammed the door behind her as she left angrily.
"Sorry about that," she said and he did not probe her secrets the same way she had not probe his.
"Shall we?" He asked as he started heading towards the gate. All he wanted was for her to help him hunt a higher stage beast for him to feast on.
"Which zones are we in?" He asked. He knew that this forest was the same as that of the Origin Forest.
"These regions are of the fourth stage beasts. We found you in the zones of the beasts of the eighth stage," she said.
He could tell that she wanted to ask what he was doing in those regions when his cultivation was only in the fifth stage. But it was like they had come to a tacit agreement not to ask about each other's private life.
"You are only in the sixth stage. How can you go that far?" He was curious about this though.
" We were actually hunting Master Plane beast when I saw your manifestation calling unto me and thats how I found you," she said.
Alaric was hearing something new. Sarah might have not have seen anything with his eyes closed but here was someone who had witnessed it. He was going to ask her about it.
"Did you just say hunting Master Plane beasts?" Alaric asked. It was like he had just registered that now.
"Yes, we have a treasure that can scare off magical beasts. We usually train by fighting beasts," she said.
"Then would you allow me to hunt a Master Plane beast with you?" He asked.
Her eyes shone and she shook her head.
" I don't think we can take one down on our own. The strongest I can take down is a seventh stage Cryptic Plane beast," she said.
