Alaric did not realize that this much had happened and he ended up asking the system what had happened.

Answer> There are several reasons for your current changes. It is important that you realize that many of your changes can only be attributed to your Soul.

To improve instinct to perception, it required you to awaken your Soul. Without your soul, you can only be termed to be a beast without a connection with the universe.

When you expressed your great desire [will] to live, you unconciously tapped into your past life experience. It reminded me of the Immortal King I once knew.

Your will expressed your desire to reign above all even death. Everything that had once bowed to your will certainly felt your presence as the Immortal King and was forced to bow.

Even the heavens, they were unable to go against your will and had to act as you wished. The universe was forced to bend its rules and that was by giving you something you had not worked for.

That is the two elements, space and time. During the struggle between death and the universe, you were able to create a space shield around you that stopped death from reaching you.

Using time, you could make sure that its scythe remained at the exact time it landed on the shield. It was also at this time that what the Ice Queen did to you took effect.

The Ice Queen has the power to break barriers but she can only break one barrier in every 100 years in her current state. This means that she used her 1 in 100 years chance inorder to unseal your barrier.

"What barrier are you talking about?" Alaric asked not giving Sarah the chance to continue.

Answer> I was about to explain about that one. You better have some patience. You should now have accepted the fact that you died but have you ever wondered what impact your death had to the world?

As the Immortal King, you were close to what one could term as balance between the universe and all living beings. As the Immortal King, you were the closest and as powerful as the universe and could break its laws without any severe consequences because you could face them off.

But after you were killed, they took away the only connection the humans had with the universe; The Soul. Another entity who had acquired as much impact as you in the universe appeared.

The entity knew how important you were to balance and that killing you was not going to be easy. It knew that the only way to acquire dominance over the universe was by getting rid of you.

This took years of planning and It had to make sure that no matter what the loopbole was, you were going to die. Its plan was a success but luckily for you, you got into the reincarnation stream.

The entity seeing that Its goal had been acquired decided to make sure that there was never going to be someone to rise in power and gain as much influence as it had in the universe.

As a result, it decided to cut off the only connection between the universe and everyone; The soul. It cast a forbidden spell across every living being in existence despite the realm it came from and sealed their soul.

It was a feat to accomplish but it in turn cost It almost a half of Its lifespan. But inorder to acquire the lifespan back, It had to feed on Soul energy. With the number of years that have passed, It has already gained Its lifespan and keep improving it.

The forbidden spell brought the extinction of many Soul based activities. Intents have become more than fables nowadays. Arrays have become a very difficult feat to achieve. Even Alchemy is very dependent on the Soul.

You may wonder why everyone has their Souls locked. The universe sometimes acknowledges special feats. The seal on the Soul was so profound such that the universe acknowledged it. In turn, the seal has become part of the life cycle. Thus everyone is born with the seal.

"So if the Soul was sealed, then how come no one has ever known about the seal?"

Answer> The Soul was sealed but its location in the human body became unknown. Its even a miracle that the Ice Queen was able to locate it.

The seal has been behind everyone's Origin Source. There exists a barrier behind the Origin Source that hides the soul. This barrier is usually connected with the forbidden spell and keeps draining the Soul energy from the victim.

But the Immortal King's Soul is an anomaly. Your Soul despite the fact that it was sealed, it is the same as you were when you died. Though your Soul is as original as it was before you died, your body is the vessel.

Your Soul has been forced to limit itself to the most powerful your body can withstand. In other words you are a vessel filled to the brim. This means that as your body cultivation increases and your energy cultivation increases, the Soul will certainly show most of its powers.

Currently, your Soul carries the power of a late stage Salvia Plane elementalist. If your Soul was to pass the limit, your body would explode and your Soul would be left without a vessel.

Its in your best interest that you start working hard so that you can use all your strength equally. Your body cultivation is lacking though. You are supposed to start integrating Meryl's Blood Essence to help strengthen your body.

You can forget about what I told you about not using the Blood Essence for body cultivation. Since its too early to decide your most compatible constitution, it is better if you continue integrating the beast's essence. Integrating it will also help you in improving your energy cultivation.

Alaric stared at the notification and he saw the newly awakened element. He could not quite understand why they all were First Grades. He was certain that his wind element used to be the sixth grade.

"What about my grades? How come they all are First Grade? Also, I am not sure why my meridians are now in the fifth stage?"

Answer> About that. Here is the deal. This is all related to your soul. Its been thousands of years since the universe sensed a Soul. When the universe sensed your Soul, it was more than pleased and it decided to give its blessings to you.

The best way would have been making your Soul powerful. But since your soul was already powerful, it increased the Soul power your body could contain from the Master plane to the Salvia plane.

The heavens were not yet satisfied and rewarded you by making all your elements First Grade. The reason your cultivation shot upwards was the same to that why some of your meridians were filled when you awakened your wind element.

Awakening the two elements could have been rewarded with three Planes jump but there is also a limit to which the universe can give. You probably have drained much of the rewards of the universe to others within the few minutes all these activities took place.

Alaric nodded with the answers. He did not think that he had any more question for the system but without his asking, Sarah spoke. Her next words were like pieced of glass being ground on his heart.

>It seems that our parting time will come sooner than expected.

"What do you mean?"

>The main reason I was created was because I was supposed to perform the functions of your soul. It was never expected and this was not anticipated for by you.

You were supposed to awaken your soul years later and I was supposed to leave you after your Soul reached the Supreme Plane.

The problem is that once I sense a Supreme Plane soul power from you, I will be erased from you.

Your awakening of your Soul has brought changes that you never accounted for in your past life. This means that all that was planned to happen during that timeline will not happen. After this, the path you trek is the one you will forge for yourself.

Alaric felt varying emotions inside him. There was the part where he could not afford to lose Sarah. He still needed her guidance. She was supposed to give him cultivation materials and answer the questions he did not know.

He knew that if his Soul was currently in the late stages of the Salvia Plane, by the time he went for the academy competition, he was going have it break into the Supreme Plane. Was this how he was going to forge his path ahead? Without her witnessing him and calling him strong one day?

That was just one version of his feeling and his other part was happy. The fact that he was no longer going to live like a written script made him happy. The fact that the decisions he was going to make were no longer going to be influenced by his past self.

He suddenly laughed.
