Defend the city!

"What?... shit! 20,000 orcs!?" Eizen then started to head back to the NPC city! On the way back he also saw many players heading back to the city as fast as possible.

When Eizen arrived at the city square he already saw about a thousand players in it and there are also city guards guarding the city Lord.

After waiting for a while the city lord finally started to talk about the current dilemma." Dear players we are now going to face a great war with the monster race! I know this is all too sudden but the chieftain must have seen too many of his kind being killed in the forest and is now in rage! But we cannot allow this monster horde to destroy our city! Please help me and my people defend the city and we will reward you greatly!"

[Quest: help protect the NPC city from the monster horde!- Thousands of monsters are now on their way towards the city! Protect it by killing the monsters! The more monsters you kill the better your rewards will be! Killing a normal monster will give you 1 point, killing elite monsters will give you 20 points and killing orcs will give you 30 points!]

"We will also be assisting you in your fight with the monster horde! This is Bren the leader of the Guards and he will be with you in the frontlines together with my army!"

After the city lord said that a middle aged man stepped up and look into the crowds. He was wearing a silver plated armor and was carrying a huge blade on his back. After taking a look at all of the players he then started talking about their strategy!

"Most of the monsters led by the forest chieftain are going to attack the city in a few hours and we would like to ask you adventurers to help us defend the city. We will first defend the wall on their first siege but after that we devised a plan to secretly kill the chieftain while most of the monsters are here attacking the city. I know this is dangerous but please trust me. I will be the one who will lead the Assassination. I will take a group of guards and adventurers with me. And the top 10 adventurers who contributed the most in the defending the city in the first siege will not only recieve rewards but will also have a chance to come with me to kill the chieftain."

"Ohhh!!!"

When the crown of players heard that their blood boiled! Not only will they be able to get rich rewards but also get a chance to come with the chief guards! This may be a chance to get the last hit on the monster chieftain and level up quickly! Not to mention this may lead to a chain quest or even a hidden quest!

"Alright! All of you get ready! The fight is about to start soon! Rest and then prepare for battle!"

After that the players dispersed and bought all kinds of potions in the shop and quickly repaired their equipment! And finally after a few hours the monster finally attacked the city!

The fight was brutal! It almost feels like a real war in the outside world! The players are ganging up on monsters while the city guards are taking on much higher level monsters. Bren himself is handling about dozens of high level monsters right now! And Eizen, well you can say that...

Boom! A large explosion was heard and dozens of monsters were killed by that attack! A masked man was fighting with dozens of monsters all by himself in the middle of the battlefield! He was slaughtering monsters like they were tofu! And from time to time he would even send out a magic spell that would kill dozens of monsters!

"Hahaha!! EXP! EXP! EXP!"

Thanks to this Event quest Eizen managed to make full use of his Mystic mana ball skill and kill monsters easily because they are packed together!

When the players saw this they were amazed and shocked at the same time!

"Hey look who's that!? He can easily kill level 10 monsters like they're nothing!"

"Level 10? Can't you see that those monster are likely to be level 13-14 or even level 15 monsters!? He's a killing machine!"

"Damn! If I can be like that I'd die happily!"

Alot of players saw Eizen's outstanding performance and were shocked! Was that really what a human could perform!?

When Bren the chief guard saw Eizen's performance he was also amazed and smiled because with the help of Eizen repelling the monster tide will be alot easier!

After a while the monster horde was finally defeated and Eizen even managed to level up twice! He is now level 22 and this is his status!

The battle laster for about 3 hours and during this period not only was the NPC city here was attacked but NPC cities on different places where also attacked! Not only that but this isn't even the main battle yet! Its only an appetizer because the Orc army mentioned by the system was not yet seen and those monsters are estimated to be level 30 and above because they are the elites of the orc race and not the normal orcs that Eizen hunted in the forest!

The army of players and city guards went back inside and rested. After a while the players started to discuss on who the top 10 players will be and with no doubt the number one will be the masked man they saw earlier and that man was Eizen!

They also talked about the other nine people and with no surprise most of the players are betting the people from the major guilds! Only a few people thought that some solo players could make it to the top 10.

After waiting for a few more minutes the Chief guard Bren appeared in their sights and started to tell the names of the top ten players who contributed in the war!
