I could see it too but I ignored it. I was in love with Chase and had always been. When a Dhampir finds her mate, she turns blind eyes to the other ones.

I agreed for Theo to come along with us. He would be of good use.

We got to Ava's house. It was very pretty. She found the keys on the top of the mailbox and invited us in.

Ava and I needed to go to the market to get some things for the party. Theo and I had a little conversation earlier. He'd told me that since no one would be able to see him at the party, then it would be a good thing if he stayed. He would keep his eyes on Jackson and check if he was up to something.

I agreed with him. He and his siblings were the only ones who could do this job and I never thought Theo would trust me too. I mean, he hated me when we first met. He had promised to kill me himself if I messed things up and did not follow his rules but now, he was nice to me which I still found awkward.
