As dusk drew near, the sun, which was high in the sky, began to turn sallow. Raina, who was holding Minella in her arm while petting her, softly screamed at once as she jerked her, putting her face in front of her, saying "Minella, listen to me. First of all, you need to stop crying. We can't change the past. and we didn't know about the rules either. We were kids." Raina grinned disgustingly. She just wanted to comfort Minella, but her mind got disturbed too while getting to know that their small mistake had become the reason for the death of someone.
However, she is powerless to stop what has already occurred. because, even if they wanted to, it would already be too late for the deceased. as a result of their seven-year delay. Even after a lot of crying, the dead cannot be brought back.
So she focuses her attention on her present concern, which can harm their future too, and that is Minella's change of appearance. If nothing is done soon, then she might change soon when the night approaches.
She controlled her emotions and said to Minella, "Minella, we can talk about that later, but right now you need to take medicine for your appearance. She already noticed Minella's painful moan, which she was hiding from Raina.
She just wanted to make Minella feel at ease first which is why she tucked up the loose hair from Minella's face to her head and then put the blanket on Minella's body as she covered her and said, "Let's go to the room and rest while I bring your medicine."
She realized that the floor on which Minella was resting was cold as ice, which is why she didn't want her to spend any further moments there. "This floor is not good for you," as she heard the coughing sound coming from Minella's mouth.
She supports her in the position to stand up as she pulls Minella's hand gently.
Minella stands up from the floor, moaning a little in pain. Minella holds Raina's hand.
As Minella stood up, she said, with a crying face, "I am a load of trouble for you."
She knew that because of her, Raina would get in trouble too and might die in the process. but she still doesn't understand why Raina cares about her so much. They are not even related by blood.
If Raina wants it would be easy for Raina to run away while leaving Minella in a mess. But even after so many ups and downs, Raina was still standing by Minella's side, which sometimes made Minella feel guilty.
But hearing Minella's words, Raina slurred her face as she rolled her eyes while saying, "This is what you think , I don't."
Looking with tearful eyes as she grabbed Raina's hand, she said, "You know, you are really one of a kind," as she burst into a painful smirk.
Raina was getting a little dazed after hearing that from Minella's mouth Raina replied, "Is that so?"
She was slowly putting Minella's hand on her shoulder in order to support her because she wanted to leave the library as soon as she could because right now all Raina wants to do is lay Minella on the bed as soon as she can.
Raina feigns a grin as she replies to Minella's smile, "Then I might be made for you only," while twitching her face.
"I want you to rely on me more Minella" with a soft wavering voice mixed with pain Raina tighten the grip around Minella's waist as she said.
She doesn't know who exactly Minella is and what her exact past is. She doesn't know at all what she experiences and how much she suffers. She felt really bad thinking that Minella might have suffered some unspeakable situation in the past. But the fact that Minella's pain is still present and haunts her every month made her grieve even more.
Raina sometimes wonders, looking towards Minella's painful ache, what kind of sin she has committed in the past that punishment has been given now in this birth.
Her heart really breaks with the picture of Minella's aching face. If she could, she would have taken away Minella's pain. But she is helpless and can only stand there and watch.
Both of them reached for the door when Minella noticed something as she approached the door and turned back, thinking to herself, "But what are we going to do about the books I scattered?" with a face muddled with amazement.
The fact that she had scattered so many books on the ground indicates something undigestable for her.Despite the fact that Minella enjoys reading and cares about books, she threw one on the ground without showing it even a little amount of respect. She finds it a little challenging to process, too. which is why she becomes reluctant about leaving.
Nodding with her lips a little twisting in mocking, Raina replied, "Yes, you did scatter lots of books on the floor. which is really unlikely of you. "
The way Raina was talking made it sound like teasing, which made Minella pout in displeasure as she said, "I can't even remember when I scattered."
After saying that, Minella becomes a little tense and gives the book an anxious glance.
Raina sensed what Minella was thinking, so she spoke gently and reassuringly.
"I was just teasing you. Why are you getting tense?"
"We all know that this is a hidden library. No one even knows its existence, so it doesn't matter how many books you scatter on the floor because it's all yours until someone claims it as their own," she smirks with a teasing smile, and she wipes her finger over Minella's nose gently.
"Now let's stop this chit-chat and go to our room," Raina said with a warm smile.
Minella, after hearing Raina's words, became a little relieved and nodded like a puppy as she put her head on Raina's shoulder.
Both of them slowly walk through the corridor as they leave the library.
After a while, they arrived at their room's entrance. That was the run-down old place. All over the room are broken cracks in the wall. The paint on the wall appears to have worn out centuries ago as if it was never there at all. Only a few small pallets of paint remain, which can be seen if one looks closely.
The room was much smaller in size, but it still had two beds squeezed in it with one window in the center and two small beds in the corner, and it was on the second floor of the building.
The window in the room is quite large and has a dome shape near the ceiling. And just down there is a small table that separates the two beds. Despite the fact that the window was quite large, it was only covered by a small curtain, which did not even do the job properly.
But the truth is that they have grown accustomed to that curtain and it no longer bothers them.
They walked to the left corner of the room and then Raina laid her down on her bed carefully and said, "Here, don't you dare to move while I'm gone. You heard me right."
