. The hidden library...

Raina bitterly clutched the book Minella had placed in front of her.

Her eyes grew wider as she had a proper view of the book. Her hand opened the book as she found no title over it. All of a sudden, something stuck in her mind. "This book, where did you get this?"

I have never seen this book on the shelf at all. "From which shelf did you pick this book?" she inquired, and then made herself comfortable on the floor in order to sit properly.

Minella sighed with her palm, "from up on the upper row of the shelf," and twisted her head a little as she shifted her sight toward the window.

Her gaze was anything but content. She was experiencing some nervousness, which was getting worse by the second.

Raina raised her head towards the shelf in order to get a view of the ceiling.

The library has so many books from bottom to ceiling. On the ground, the shelf is created in parallel to the room inside every wall, but above the ground, near the ceiling, it is crafted into a long cylinder to make it appear circular near the ceiling. and in the ceiling, there was a spherical glass window.

Because of the design of the library, it is difficult for a person to read the upper self-book because there is no way for the average person to get there.

Nobody knows who the hell built this library and for what purpose, because they discovered it by chance.

It was the evening of two years ago when Minella secretly went to Raina's work place just to have fun with her. Both Raian and Minella are the palace maids of the lower wings. Raina is assigned to work in the kitchen, and Minella is assigned to work in the laundry.On that day, Minella was done with her work early and wanted to tease Raina.

However, the thief broke in at that precise moment, and the entire establishment became a shambles.

Minella and Raina were the only ones who were working near where the theft happened . It was highly likely that Minella, who was supposed to be at her work but was currently standing near the raina, was assumed as the suspect.

Both of them become panicked , mostly the raina, because she can't imagine anything happening to Minella. Both of them started running away from the kitchen. Leave the kitchen by the back door. and then entered into the hallway, which was very rarely taken by the maids.

That hallway bifurcated into another hallway, which was never taken by anyone.

Both of them run towards that hallway in an attempt to hide there. But as they walk further into the hallway, they find a dead end. In the end, there was a very large cemented wall. Both of them became panicked as they could hear the footsteps of soldiers who were running for inspection in order to find the theif.

Minella felt something odd on the wall near the lamp. Raina felt something wrong with the huge wall. Both places have a unique design crafted on one brick.

They both touch those patterns on the bricks at the same time out of curiosity.

But once they touch the pattern, the wall turns into the door and opens at once. They both run inside the door and touch the same pattern on the wall on the other side of the door. As soon as you touch them, the door closes.

and both of them find themselves in another hallway which ends with the biggest door at the end.

"It's a library!" Both of them scream at once, with perplexed emotion.

The main door leads to the library. The library, which was abandoned and forgotten by the palace people,

They don't know why a hidden door leads to the library and why it was abandoned.

But that place became the perfect hideout for them in their spare time.

Especially for Minella, who enjoys reading books the most.

Since then, both of them visit the library whenever they are done with their work and need some time to rest. There was something strange about this library too. Raina has already visited the other library of the palace with the higher wing maids. She noticed that the books were stacked differently in that library. There was even a ladder for the reader to pick up the book from the upper stack.

But the hidden library in front of them was very different from the other libraries.

because it didn't have any way to reach the upper shelf of the book. Even with the ladder, it is difficult for the person to reach the top.

For what kind of person has this library been created? Raina has that thought in her mind after seeing the library.

But holding a book on the upper shelf of the library in her hand felt unreal to her. That's why, out of curiosity, she drew her head back to get a better look at the upper shelf.

But as Raina lifted her head to get a close view of the upper shelf, she found most of the shelf empty.

Her gaze was involuntarily pulled towards the ground where all the other books were scattered. She slowly shifted herself on the ground to examine the scattered book.

She becomes shocked as she picks up another book from the ground.

Shifting her head towards Minella, she asked in an anxious voice, "But Minella, why are there so many books from the upper shelf on the ground?" with her eyes wide open and her hand filled with another book. There was not only one, but all the books which were scattered on the floor were from the upper shelf.

And the upper shelf, which is very high from the ground, and there is no way to reach them at all. At least not for the average person.

Her face was contorted in terror, and her eyes were clouded with it. She was standing in between the pile of books that had fallen from the upper shelf.

She was even more frightened than before because she was certain there hadn't been a tremor yesterday and that those books couldn't have fallen due to the earthquake. She couldn't stop staring at Minella, who was slumped next to the window and engulfed by so much terror.
