=Peggy landed on the seat next to Shane in the living room with a heavy sigh. “What?” He asked, not looking at her.

“I’m bored.”

“Watch tv with me.”

“I’m thinking I should have gone with mom.” She ignored his suggestion.

“I’m pretty sure she wishes she were here. Here, we’re being entertained by Tanner and Gia.”

Peggy burst into laughter. “There’s that. Makes me wish I had a summer fling.”

She saw Shane turn to her. “Didn’t you promise you wouldn’t be kissing anyone else?”

“I did, and I intend to keep it but-“ She sighed. “Okay maybe I just want them to be together. Unexpected as this all is.” She turned to face him. “Isn’t it strange that he’s refusing after all he used to pull?”

“Very strange. Very very very strange.”

“Why is he playing hard to get now?”

“Did you ask him?”

“You think he’ll tell me?” She pointed at herself.
