The World Belongs to Wizards

Amidst the divine plots and alliances between the gods, a dark and cunning figure moved behind the scenes. Rowena Ravenclaw, founder of the Ravenclaw house at Hogwarts, possessed a deep knowledge of magic and an insatiable curiosity. In her explorations beyond the confines of the wizarding school, she discovered an ancient being that had been a vital force in the origins of human magic: Hecate, the goddess of magic.

Fascinated by the magnitude of Hecate's power, Rowena decided to seek an audience with the ancient goddess. On a dark and starry night, the witch ventured to a mystical place where she knew she could summon Hecate. Tracing arcane symbols in the air, Rowena uttered ancient words that summoned the goddess' presence.

Hecate emerged from the dark mist, shrouded in an aura of mystery and power. Her eyes shone with the wisdom of the ages, and her countenance revealed a knowledge beyond human comprehension.

"Rowena Ravenclaw, founder of Hogwarts, what brings you before Hecate, holder of primordial magic?" the goddess asked in a voice that echoed through the ages.

The witch humbly explained her purpose.

"Lady of all magic, I come in search of knowledge to save humanity from the plans of the gods," Rowena said.

She shared her concerns about the growing dominance of the gods over mortals and expressed her desire to give humans greater autonomy in their relationship with magic.

Hecate was intrigued by the proposal and considered Rowena's words.

She saw an opportunity to challenge the influence of the gods and give mortals the power to control their own destiny.

"I believe that the freedom you seek may be the freedom I seek," Hecate said, willing to betray the gods in order to be free.

So the two women hatched a daring plan against the gods.

Hecate revealed to Rowena the existence of a realm beyond the known planes, a place where the fabric of reality is uniquely interwoven. This dimensional plane, as yet unexplored, could serve as a kind of exile for the gods, allowing humans to explore magic without divine intervention.

Together, Rowena and Hecate devised an elaborate ritual in which their magical energies would be combined. The full moon hung in the sky as the two women performed the ritual, chanting forgotten incantations and weaving magic that would transcend the barriers between worlds.

"I will suffer the greatest loss and bear the brunt of this ritual, but you must know that before you die, you must find someone to take your place," Hecate told the founder of House Ravenclaw. "If you don't, the wrath of the gods will once again be felt by the people you so desperately want to protect."

"I'll be ready when the time comes," Rowena assured her.

The dimensional plane opened up before them, a rift in the fabric of reality. Hecate transferred part of her magic to Rowena, allowing the witch to manipulate and protect the barrier that would separate the realms. The alliance between goddess and witch was sealed, and the fate of mortals would be changed forever.

Rowena and Hecate's plan triggered a series of magical events that began to forcibly transfer the gods to the new location.

The sky shook in fury as Zeus resisted the force that tried to banish him from this realm. "HECATEEEE, you will pay for your betrayal, you cannot hide from my fury," he could only try to resist and watch the other gods being dragged away.

With the banishment of the gods, Rowena, now imbued with part of Hecate's primordial magic, became the guardian between the two worlds. She was part of the link that kept the veil closed and ensured that the gods had no influence over mortals.

Hecate, meanwhile, kept herself hidden from the other gods in the new dimension.

However, not everyone was happy with the changes. Some factions of witches and wizards, fearing the unknown, resisted Rowena's influence.

While the gods watched these events unfold through the veil, the alliance between Rowena and Hecate, although conceived with good intentions, gave rise to unexpected challenges and dilemmas.

Morgana, as a daughter of the King's affair with a half-breed witch, never received the respect she deserved from her family, even though she had royal blood in her veins.

The situation worsened when her half-brother Arthur, at the age of seven, showed great control of the fencing skills taught to him by the knights.

Both children were the same age, but as Arthur was a man and heir to the throne, all attention was focussed on him.

The young girl grew up in solitude and isolation.

Being isolated from the rest of the family, she spent a lot of time in the library studying the many books.

Some fascinated her; these were the books of the wizards who served in the castle, full of great stories and magical knowledge.

Morgana wanted more than anything to be able to enter Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in order to win her freedom and the respect of her family.

In her first year at Hogwarts, Morgana stood out for her quick mastery of magic and basic spells. Her genius was such that she caught the eye of one of the school's founders, Rowena Ravenclaw.

Because she was studying with one of the founders, rumours and gossip about the young witch spread around the castle. Morgana didn't make many friends with the other students.

The only friend she made was another brilliant little wizard, Merlin, Salazar Slytherin's apprentice.

Merlin was someone of a similar status to herself, so Morgana found it easy to talk to the little wizard.

As the years went by, however, Morgana realised that she couldn't compare to Merlin; the wizard was far more brilliant than she was, and increasingly excelled at Hogwarts.

But unlike her, he was loved by everyone, and no one ever spoke ill of him. Morgana, on the other hand, was much criticised, even though she had never done anything wrong to another student.

Then another event occurred that shook the young witch's faith in humanity: Merlin, the one person she had considered her friend, began to ignore her and to follow Arthur, Morgana's half-brother.

The severing of their friendship shattered the witch, who began to trust no one but her mentor, often lashing out at anyone who spoke ill of her.

Years later, Merlin returned to Hogwarts to persuade his old friend to help him on a great journey.

But at the mention of Arthur's name, any hope he might have had that Morgana would help him sank into the deepest abyss.

So the conversation turned to Arthur, Morgana's half-brother. Merlin spoke of the potential he saw in him to unite the magical and non-magical realms. Morgana, however, expressed her disgust at the idea.

"Arthur may be the key to a better future, Morgana. We can build Camelot differently, learning from the mistakes of the past," Merlin said, envisioning a kingdom of prosperity and harmony.

Camelot, a utopia in his mind, would become a centre of hope and renewal for magical and non-magical people alike.

Every time Merlin mentioned Arthur's name, Morgana felt sick, remembering her unhappy childhood and the scorn she had always received when compared to the handsome prince.

"Camelot will be a kingdom of learning and progress," Merlin promised.

Morgana scoffed at Merlin's faith: "I know your dream will be a failure and you will regret the choices you have made in life.

She had no intention of getting involved in anything her half-brother was building.

But when, as she predicted, the city of Camelot was destroyed by her own beliefs, the people blamed her senselessly.

Bringing down the witch's wrath upon them, the remaining people of Camelot were drowned in pain and misery by spells Morgana cast in retaliation.

Morgana only stopped her rage when her mentor, Rowena, stopped her.

Shifting Morgana's focus from mortals to the more powerful enemies they would face if the young witch did not inherit her master's will.
