It should have been raining. At least, that what Lu Ning thought because it always rains in the movies when a girl gets her heart broken. Instead, it was a beautiful night, with stars shining brightly like a diamond in the sky.

It should have been her engagement party. She had prepared this for a long time. When the first met, they were both in the first years in high school. She was waiting in line for the registration office. He walks out of the office as she was going in when she heard "next."

However, she did not expect to fall into his arms as she misses a step and fall in front. He held her as his arm went around her waist. When she was stable, she heard a husky voice "are you all right."

It was just three words that made her look up.

Like a grenade, her heart explored, it was love at first sight. He smiled at her, and with that smile, it took away the last bit of sanity that remains of her. When she heard an annoying voice, she came back to reality; she steps out of his embrace. Looking down at her feet, she said thank you in a whisper kind of voice. Lu Ning walked quickly into the registration office.

He looked the young girl that ran like a rabbit, and he just smiled and walked away.

After two weeks, they end up meeting again in one of the school activities. Here is where their story began.

Instead, here she was reminiscing as he jumbles punch of words that eventually end with

"I never loved you. I only thought of you as a sister/ a friend. Now you are nothing but trash. How dare you touch my fiancée with those filthy hands of yours."

Zou Yi grasps her hand away from Lu Nia, her stepsister, who is the same age as her. Same day and month. Moreover, push her to the ground with force.

"Zou Yi, we are high school sweetheart. Have you forgotten the promise you made to me? You said that you would ask my hand in marriage when we finished high school and go to the same university. Now, what is this?"

She was shaking as she tries to suppress her tears from falling.

She remembered that her stepmother, stepsister, and her dad told her to dress up as Zou Yi had to arrange a surprise engagement party.

"SIS, please do not tell him, that I told you, there will be surprise engagement party for you?" she remembers clears when her step-sis said that.

It was even four hours ago, and here she is, sitting on the floor in this expensive hotel with all close friend and family were invited and they all in this together as they are looking down at her.

She used her last string of hope when she said

" Zou Yi, I am the first daughter of Lu Family, the heirs and I have 50 billion under my name that my mother gave it to me before she passes away. If you take it back what you just said then I would give you everything, what can she give you, she is nothing but a step-sis."

It was beyond love what she had for him, and it was an obsession. She did not care about wealth or dignity; she can even give away her life for him. That is how much she loves him.

As soon as she said those words, she heard her family and Zou Yi laughing.
