Chapter 6: Grinding once more

I woke up after taking a break, and making sure my body was in peak condition.

What I am about to attempt is extremely hard, and honestly, unless you were rich, it is not good to go through this method.

It requires an absurd amount of herbs, perseverance and mana, but the method was simple.

You have to fail in making a potion, 1 thousand times. Simple, right? To unlock a skill regarding Potion Making you just have to spend a couple of gold.

However there were a few catches, 1- each failure has to be within 20 minutes of each other, so you cannot rest at all. 2- you have to be constantly improving your timing in each failures. If the first time it took you 19 min and 59 seconds to fail the potions, the second timing has to be lower lower. The 3rd and final one is you cannot be guided by anyone throughout the process, you have to improve by yourself.

And you can't even think about trying to cut corners, you genuinely have to give it your all.

It is mainly because of this that I chose to go with the highest level potion a person can make without getting their first class, this potion hasn't even been discovered yet.

This potion is my goal.

I then did some quick math.

Supposing that the first potion takes me exactly 20 minutes to make, and if I take that in seconds it will be 1200 seconds, and supposing that I will reach the fastest timing possible to make this potion, which is 200 seconds, by the end of the 100 tries, it will take me a total of:

[ 1000/2(1200+200)]=700000 seconds, which is 11666.6y minutes, which is 194 hours, which is approximately 8 days.

Now, I do have some potions which will allow me to stay awake, replenish my body, and keep my alive for the 8 days, but the mental fatigue is another issue.

But it isn't that bad, at the starting of my career, when I was a part-time authors, I have stayed awake for plenty of days while writing and studying, with barely any of sleep.

After finishing all preparations, I began the massive grind.

I am actually happy for all the useless descriptions I used to put into my books about potion making, dismantling, blacksmithing and what not, I can use all my information really well to get stronger.

(3rd person point of view)

In a grand, luxurious hall, which was embedded in various types of jewelry, there was a group of people questioning Rashal Reighile about something.

"My lord are you sure you did not get scammed again? This happened the other time that wandering merchant came as well, you paid 1 entire gold coin to him, but this time, you spent 10 Platinum! While it is not the family money and is your own personal savings, we are worried that you might have gotten swindled."

"While I understand all of your worries, this time it is from a reliable source, and as you have said, it is my money, so don't worry," replied Rashal Reighile while frowning. He doesn't understand why these people were all here, trying to stop him from allowing his wife to recover.

He was already suspicious of these people for a while, and how his wife's health just suddenly dropped when everything was going well for the family, but whenever he tried to heal his wife, these groups of people 'would be worried about him being scammed,' and while he was scammed tens of times, to him it is still suspicious.

"We are just worried for you father, god knows you love that women a lot, enough to lose hundreds of platinum" said a 15-year old kid with light blue hair. Arrogance was oozing off his face, and he seemed like everything was above him.

"Listen to the young-lord sire, you have spent a lot of money on the lady of the house, maybe it is time to..." just before the man could finish is first, the aura of a C-Rank warrior broke out from Rashal Reighile, and all the walls nearby broke.

"Leave if all you have is unnecessary words." Rashal Reighile said cold heartedly to the middle-aged man, then he turned to the young man and said, "I am disgusted to say that you are my son, do you think I will value the women I love with a few coins! Is this how I raised you!"

The young man didn't falter though, like he expected it, and shouted back, "Well if you actually raised me you would have known! All you do is care for your sick wife instead of my mother, and look after that broken child, and the other bitch, when I AM A PERSON WHO AWAKENED AT 14!"

"GET OUT!" Roared Rashal Reighile, at his 'son.' As he used his mana to push both people out of the room.
